Apostasy Alert: Pope Francis Crowns Statue of Mary As “Queen of Heaven”

February 14, 2018 By Beginning and End

Is Rome Mystery Babylone | End time Bible prophecy

Pope Francis places a crown on a statue of Mary at a mass service in Chile.

Continuing his string of unbiblical and heretical proclamations, Pope Francis crowned a statue of Mary and proclaimed her “Queen of Heaven” before a packed crowd of adoring onlookers in Chile. The Pope’s elevation of Mary as a deity to be prayed to is not only wildly heretical but is just one of the many serious spiritual errors of his Roman Catholic doctrine.

Pope Francis – Leading The End Times Apostasy

Mystery Babylon Roman Catholic doctrine | Are Roman Catholics real Christians

Pope Francis bows before a statue of Mary – clearly worshiping an idol.

According to reports:

“Jorge Bergoglio, the leader of Roman Catholicism who is also known as “Pope Francis,” placed a crown on the head of a statue of Mary during his visit to Chile on Tuesday.

The coronation took place during mass at O’Higgins Park in Santiago, where the tens of thousands in attendance watched Bergoglio place a crown on the head of the Christ child, and then also on the head of Mary. In Chile, the statue is known as “Our Lady of Mount Carmel,” who is also known by Roman Catholics in the country as the patron saint and “queen” of Chile.

“[T]he virgin who wanted to be called Your handmaid was chosen mother of the Redeemer, and true mother of all the living, and now exalted above the choirs of the angels, reigns gloriously with Your Son interceding for all men as an advocate of grace and queen of mercy,” he prayed during mass, moments before crowning the statue.

“Lord, look kindly upon these your servants, who by adorning with a visible crown the image of the mother of Your Son, recognize Your Son as King of the universe and invoke the virgin as queen,” Bergoglio said.” (source).

The Pope’s statements promotes many false doctrines that the Bible plainly declares as sinful rebellion against God:

  • The Worship of Graven Images – “Take ye therefore good heed unto yourselves; for ye saw no manner of similitude on the day that the Lord spake unto you in Horeb out of the midst of the fire: Lest ye corrupt yourselves, and make you a graven image, the similitude of any figure, the likeness of male or female,

The likeness of any beast that is on the earth, the likeness of any winged fowl that flieth in the air, The likeness of any thing that creepeth on the ground, the likeness of any fish that is in the waters beneath the earth:” (Deuteronomy 4:15-18).

Rather than rebuking the packed crowd for the reverence of a statue of a mortal human woman, the Pope instead crowned the statue of Mary as a god. This is idolatry. The Lord in instructing the Israelites on His law as they prepared to enter the Promised Land, sternly forbade the creation of statues for veneration or worship.

  • “The Mother of All Living” – This title was never given to Mary. In Scripture, it was Eve – the first woman, not Mary, of whom Adam said:

“And Adam called his wife’s name Eve; because she was the mother of all living.” (Genesis 3:20).

Adam’s bestowing of this name not only symbolized being the first mother of humanity, but his faith and hope and God’s promise of redemption. Eve received this name after the sin of Adam and Eve and their banishment from the Garden of Eden. Though The Lord punished them for their disobedience, they were not abandoned. In Genesis 3:15, God prophesied that the “seed of the woman” would one day bruise or crush the head of Satan. It was a promise of future redemption through a child yet to be born.

Thus birth and motherhood took on a prophetic and Divine significance. Adam recognized this and had hope for the future in this prophecy. Thus, though they were dead in trespasses and sin, there was hope they they could once again “live” through the Messiah (who of course would be The Lord Jesus Christ).

Pope Francis ignored all of this in declaring that Mary was “the mother of all living.” Proverbs 30 says:

“Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him. Add thou not unto his words, lest he reprove thee, and thou be found a liar.” –Proverbs 30:5-6.

Rather than trusting in the pure Word of God, Pope Francis, (who on prior occasions hosted Muslim prayers at his church and declared that space aliens should be baptized) chose to twist and remake Scripture as he sees fit. This is grave spiritual error.

Do Catholics worship Mary | Is it a sin to pray to saints

The Catholic church even has study guides on praying to Mary.

  • Mary As Intercessor – “For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time.” –1 Timothy 2:4-6.

The Bible is clear that only Jesus Christ stands as a “mediator” between God the Father and humanity. Jesus is the only way to peace, reconciliation and right standing with God. The book of Hebrews, in beautiful language, identifies Jesus Christ as the true High Priest – taking the prayers of saints before the altar in Heaven and making one sacrifice – on the cross – to provide atonement for all sins of those who believe:

“By so much was Jesus made a surety of a better testament. And they truly were many priests, because they were not suffered to continue by reason of death: But this man, because he continueth ever, hath an unchangeable priesthood. Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them.

For such an high priest became us, who is holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, and made higher than the heavens. Who needeth not daily, as those high priests, to offer up sacrifice, first for his own sins, and then for the people’s: for this he did once, when he offered up himself. For the law maketh men high priests which have infirmity; but the word of the oath, which was since the law, maketh the Son, who is consecrated for evermore.” – Hebrews 7:22-28.

All of the Levitical priesthood in the Old Testament were a foreshadow of the work of Jesus Christ as High Priest in Heaven. The sacrifice of Christ – who was sinless and eternal – uniquely qualified Jesus to provide atonement for all for all time. Mary has no part in this whatsoever.

This has not stopped Pope Francis from repeatedly contradicting the Bible and pointing his followers to Mary – even to escape Satan. Pope Francis recently said that Mary is so powerful that the Devil cannot be in her presence:

“At Mass in the Basilica of St. Mary Major on Sunday, Pope Francis said that when we go through difficult times or have problems or worries, Mary is our shield, guarding our faith and protecting us from evil.

“Where the Madonna is at home the devil does not enter; where there is the Mother, disturbance does not prevail, fear does not win,” (source).

Christians, nor anyone for that matter, should ever pray to Mary or seek her “grace” or “intercession.” Mary, though chosen for possibly the greatest honor of any mortal person in history, was nevertheless, a normal human woman born with the sinful flesh nature all people born of Adam possess. Elevating Mary to a role of “intercessor” who we should pray to is blasphemy and sinful rebellion.

The Queen of Heaven – A Demonic Deception

Why do Catholics pray to Mary | Is the Pope a Christian

Though the art work may be beautiful, Mary does not possess any special Divine status – nor should Christian pray to her.

The Book of Jeremiah details the twelve tribes sinful worship of “The Queen of Heaven.” This was not an honorary title but instead the name given to a demonic spirit who the Jewish people in ancient times wrongly worshiped:

‘As for the word that thou hast spoken unto us in the name of the Lord, we will not hearken unto thee. But we will certainly do whatsoever thing goeth forth out of our own mouth, to burn incense unto the queen of heaven, and to pour out drink offerings unto her, as we have done, we, and our fathers, our kings, and our princes, in the cities of Judah, and in the streets of Jerusalem: for then had we plenty of victuals, and were well, and saw no evil.

But since we left off to burn incense to the queen of heaven, and to pour out drink offerings unto her, we have wanted all things, and have been consumed by the sword and by the famine. And when we burned incense to the queen of heaven, and poured out drink offerings unto her, did we make her cakes to worship her, and pour out drink offerings unto her, without our men?

Then Jeremiah said unto all the people, to the men, and to the women, and to all the people which had given him that answer, saying, The incense that ye burned in the cities of Judah, and in the streets of Jerusalem, ye, and your fathers, your kings, and your princes, and the people of the land, did not the Lord remember them, and came it not into his mind?

So that the Lord could no longer bear, because of the evil of your doings, and because of the abominations which ye have committed; therefore is your land a desolation, and an astonishment, and a curse, without an inhabitant, as at this day. Because ye have burned incense, and because ye have sinned against the Lord, and have not obeyed the voice of the Lord, nor walked in his law, nor in his statutes, nor in his testimonies; therefore this evil is happened unto you, as at this day.” – Jeremiah 44:16-22.

The conquest and destruction of the Kingdom of Israel – completed in 586 BC when Babylonian King Nebuchadnezzar razed the temple of God and took the Southern Kingdom of Judah captive, was a result of repeated idolatry and rebellion by the Israelites against The Lord. And as the passage above details, one of the chief sins was the worship of The Queen of Heaven.

Marian worship exposed | Roman Catholic harlot Mystery Babylon exposed

A group of Roman Catholics bow before an idol of Mary.

The “Queen of Heaven” in Jeremiah’s day was an idol – a false god. In the New Testament, the Apostle Paul clearly identified these beings:

“What say I then? that the idol is any thing, or that which is offered in sacrifice to idols is any thing? But I say, that the things which the Gentiles sacrifice, they sacrifice to devils, and not to God: and I would not that ye should have fellowship with devils. Ye cannot drink the cup of the Lord, and the cup of devils: ye cannot be partakers of the Lord’s table, and of the table of devils.” – 1 Corinthians 10:19-21.

Despite this, many Roman Catholics today all over the world “venerate” Mary – bowing before her and praying to her with scripted rosary prayers – the same type of “vain repetition, The Lord Jesus Christ warned us to avoid:

“But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking” – Matthew 6:7.

Whether it is called veneration or praying the rosary – these practices contradict the clear teachings of the Bible. Do not be deceived.

Pray For The Catholic Church

Is praying the rosary a sin | Pope Francis False prophet

There is only one name given by which we are saved – the name of Jesus Christ.

“And it came to pass, as he spake these things, a certain woman of the company lifted up her voice, and said unto him, Blessed is the womb that bare thee, and the paps which thou hast sucked. But he said, Yea rather, blessed are they that hear the word of God, and keep it.” – Luke 11:27-28.

In the Book of Luke, a woman attempted to give Mary special praise as the mother of The Lord Jesus Christ. And Jesus immediately responded by saying the blessing should go to those who “hear the word of God and keep it.” Pray for Pope Francis to repent and for Roman Catholics to follow Biblical doctrine, not their own ideas. The Bible is clear that Jesus is our Savior – and through faith in Him Pope Francis and the many Catholics in grave spiritual error can be freely forgiven of sin.

What did make Mary special in the Bible was her willingness to humbly submit and trust God’s Word. Lord willing Roman Catholics will follow her example.

I have thoroughly enjoyed reading your articles for some time; especially the ones on the revisionist research about the nephilim and man’s history. I am a Roman Catholic, and I just wanted to say that Catholics do not put Mary, the mother Jesus Christ on a pedestal to be worshipped. She is venerated. She is the New Eve. Where Eve was tempted by the Devil to rebel against God, Mother Mary became the example of holiness and obedience. Thus, the image of her (a woman) who steps on the serpent. “And I will put enmity between you and the woman and between your descendants and her Descendant. He will crush your head, and you will bruise His heel.” (Genesis 3:15). I once was like many, wondering why Mother Mary was to be prayed to; I did not understand the significance then. God chose Mother Mary to be mother of all. Then he said to the disciple, “Behold, your mother!” And from that hour the disciple took her to his own home (John 19:27). In my own personal belief, Mother Mary is a role model for all women; she encompasses what TRUE femininity and holiness is all about. I acknowledge her humaneness but I also acknowledge her prominence in my faith. We pray to her for her intercessions; she wishes for us to look to Jesus Christ, her son. In our rosary prayers, we contemplate the mysteries and events of Jesus Christ’s life here on earth. She directs us to Jesus. In fact, Mother Mary is to be respected by all. I apologize for my own limitations to explain the beauty and glory of mother Mary. But I know, I was once a skeptic of our Mother but I have learned to experience her in a most personal way, especially after my own father passed on (when I prayed the rosary, I found great peace). She intercedes for us. Not everyone has to turn to her but we must acknowledge who she really is and why God chose her to be his Mother! God surely works in mysterious ways. But His plans are good and perfect. I hope this enlightens non-Catholics (or even Catholics everywhere). Please do a piece on Mother Mary (as a revisionist research). She is a model for women everywhere as all the saints surely are. God bless & Blessed Easter.

      Hi JD,

Thanks for your comment. With all due respect, I completely disagree with all of your statements. Nowhere are we taught that Mary replaced Eve or that she is our standard for obedience and holiness. Our standard is Jesus Christ:

“Be ye followers of me, even as I also [am] of Christ.” – 1 Corinthians 11:1.

“For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps:” – 1 Peter 2:21.

“He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked.” – 1 John 2:6.

“Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:” – Philippians 2:5.

Nowhere are we commanded to pray to Mary. On the contrary we are strictly forbidden to speak to the dead:

“When thou art come into the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee, thou shalt not learn to do after the abominations of those nations. 10 There shall not be found among you [any one] that maketh his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, [or] that useth divination, [or] an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch, 11 Or a charmer, or a consulter with familiar spirits, or a wizard, or a necromancer. 12 For all that do these things [are] an abomination unto the LORD: and because of these abominations the LORD thy God doth drive them out from before thee.” – Deuteronomy 18:9-12.

Additionally, there is no Scripture in the Bible that says Mary is an “intercessor.” Jesus Christ is our intercessor, Advocate and The Lord who our prayers should be directed to. The heretical doctrines of the Roman Catholic Church sadly try to deny Jesus Christ His glory in order to preach their own man-made doctrine.

If you do not have Scripture to support your beliefs, you are following a false doctrine. I strongly urge you to have an open heart and let The Bible be your authority. Not me or this website – but the Bible. You will not find anything in it that supports praying to Mary in any form or fashion. This is the challenge of this age: seeing past the many deceptions and false teachings that have infiltrated the church:

“And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world? 4 And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you. 5 For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.” – Matthew 24:3-5.

I pray that you will humbly approach God’s Word and believe upon the true Gospel which rests entirely with Jesus Christ and Christ alone. -B&E

      How To Get To Heaven

        Beginning and End,

It is very good to read and understand the scriptures, but it cannot be right to ignore important scriptures when forming our opinions, can it? I urge you to think carefully about anything slanderous you may say against Mary, who bore our Lord in her womb. Can you deny that Mary is Jesus Christ’s mother?
You ask for scripture backup. I must point out that two very important scripture verses are given to you by JD. You said you disagree with all her statements? Not all of it is opinion. I am sure you do not disagree that the scripture she references. There is also the difficulty of you insisting that Catholics worship Mary as a goddess; this is not Catholic teaching. JD very kindly gave you the official teaching of Catholics, “I am a Roman Catholic, and I just wanted to say that Catholics do not put Mary, the mother Jesus Christ on a pedestal to be worshipped”. Perhaps you honestly believe that JD, an earnest and educated Roman Catholic, is wrong in her understanding of Catholic teaching, and you are correct, but what does that prove? Only that you are honestly mistaken.

Anyway, on to scriptural proofs – here is a lovely summary of a brief work by Steve Ray (https://www.catholicconvert.com/wp-content/uploads/Documents/QueenOfHeaven.pdf):

-Why is Mary the rightful and proper Queen of Heaven? Jesus is a Jewish king. He
sits on the throne of his fathers David and Solomon (Lk 1:31-33 “And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bear a son, and you shall name Him Jesus. “He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High; and the Lord God will give Him the throne of His father David; and He will reign over the house of Jacob forever, and His kingdom will have no end.”)

Would it not be correct to say that Jesus would be the BEST of Jewish kings and since
the Law demands that we honor our father and mother—would he not honor his mother
        better than any one else?
How did the kings of Judah honor their mothers? Listen to 1 Kings 2:19 “So Bathsheba [mother of the king] went to King Solomon to speak to him for Adonijah. And the king arose to meet her, bowed before her, and sat on his throne; then he had a throne set for the king’s mother, and she sat on his right.”

From that point on the kings in the line of David, all had queens but they were not their wives—they were their mothers. Over and over again the Old Testament refers to the queen as the “Queen Mother.”

The Apostle John, who was given the responsibility to care for Mary during her earthly life, saw a vision of her as the queen in heaven in Revelation 12:1-2. Was John putting Mary ahead of God when he reveals her as the Queen of Heaven and the Mother of the Church whose children are those who keep the commandments of God and hold to the testimony of Jesus (Rev 12:17)? Would we dare say John is idolatrous, offering sacrifice to a pagan goddess, putting a mythical deity in the place of God? Of course not!

This is also a very serious matter. Under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit Mary said, “All generations will call me blessed!” (Lk 1:48). What Church does that still? And what about those who DON’T? Do you want to stand before the Son on the last day and say, I was one who did not venerate and honor your mother—I ignored, or worse yet,
maligned Your mother the queen? To ignore and not venerate the [Queen Mother of Heaven] is to insult her Son—who does honor her because he loves her and he obeyed the Law perfectly. (credit to Steve Ray)

There is a common saying amongst Christians who do not dishonor Mary “We can never love or honor Mary more than her Son, Jesus Christ, loved and honored her.”

I recommend taking JD’s advice and writing a revision piece to correct your misinterpretation and (no doubt well meaning and mistaken) misrepresentation of what is actually going on in this particular situation.

        Hope that helps.

“There is a common saying amongst Christians who do not dishonor Mary “We can never love or honor Mary more than her Son, Jesus Christ, loved and honored her.”

Jesus loved and honored His earthly mother, yes, but He never worshiped her and neither do we. Mary gave us the example to worship Him!

Luke 1:46-55: “And Mary said: “My soul magnifies the Lord,
47 And my spirit has rejoiced in God my Savior. (Mary admits her need for a Savior just like the rest of us!)

    48 For He has regarded the lowly state of His maidservant;
For behold, henceforth all generations will call me blessed.
49 For He who is mighty has done great things for me,
    And holy is His name.
50 And His mercy is on those who fear Him
    From generation to generation.
    51 He has shown strength with His arm;
He has scattered the proud in the imagination of their hearts.
52 He has put down the mighty from their thrones,
    And exalted the lowly.
53 He has filled the hungry with good things,
And the rich He has sent away empty.
54 He has helped His servant Israel,
    In remembrance of His mercy,
55 As He spoke to our fathers,
To Abraham and to his seed forever.”

We call Mary blessed for having such a great purpose in the plan of the Lord; but Mary, a sinner in need of redemption like us, worshiped the Savior! Luke 1:46-47: “And Mary said: “My soul magnifies the Lord, 47 And my spirit has rejoiced in God my Savior.”

As Christians, we are all called to be intercessors! We all pray for one another. Who of us haven’t gone to our mother to ask our father for something… Who has the ear of our Mother? If God chose Mary to be the mother of His Son, and we are told to honor our mother and father, why then would we not ask Mary, who was closest to her Son than any other person in the world, to bring our requests before her Son.
In the Old Testament, the Queen Mother sat at the right hand of the King, and her job was to bring the blessings of the king to his people. And so the people brought there requests to the King THRU the
Queen Mother. Did Mary conceive and give birth to Jesus? Is Jesus, the Son of God, the Second Person of the Blessed Trinity? And are we not told to honor our mother and father in the Commandments… surely Jesus honored His mother in life, and continues to honor her in eternal life! If honoring (not worshiping) Mary is good enough for Jesus, it’s good enough for me. Your misunderstandings of the Catholic faith are wide. Find a good Catholic who knows and loves his/her faith and ask some honest questions.
    God bless you all.
