As It Was In The Days Of Lot: BBC Video Teaches Kids There Are More Than 100 Genders

“Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded; But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all. Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed.” – Luke 17:28-30

A new video produced by UK TV network BBC teaches children there are more than 100 genders. It is clearly aimed as a resource to use in elementary schools and is just the latest example of the push by secular governments and organizations to take over the role of parent and indoctrinate children into what suits their own agenda on “sex education”. And to move them as far away as possible from the Biblical and scientifically proven genders of male and female.

“100 Or More Gender Identities”?

According to reports:

“The series of short films titled “The Big Talk,” were produced by BBC Teach for use with children ages 9 to 12. The films show “trusted adults” answering children’s questions about sex, relationships and gender.

“Understanding gender identities” is but one of the topics covered in the videos alongside seemingly innocuous subjects like body image, puberty, and online safety.

In one video about gender identity — a nebulous phrase with no clear definition but often centers around sex stereotypes and a person’s “internal sense” of who they are — the questions explored include “What are the different gender identities?,” “Why are there so many letters in LGBTQ?” and “What do you think transgender means?,” among others.

When asked what the different gender identities are, a relationships and sex education teacher in the video replies: “There are so many gender identities.”

“So we know we’ve got male and female, but there are over 100, if not more, gender identities now,” she explains, noting “you’ve got some people who might call themselves gender queer, who are just like, ‘I don’t really want to be anything in particular, I’m just going to be me.’” (source).

The Bible On Gender Identity

“And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.” – Genesis 1:26-27

The Bible is clear that there are 2 genders: male and female. The notion that a person can be born a male but because of their “feelings” are actually a female, is not supported by Scripture. It is a sin for a male to dress as a female:

“The woman shall not wear that which pertaineth unto a man, neither shall a man put on a woman’s garment: for all that do so are abomination unto the Lord thy God.” – Deuteronomy 22:5

Today pop culture, liberal politicians and the public educational system are bombarding children and parents alike with the message that it is totally “natural” for a young child to want to be another gender and that parents should encourage and celebrate their children’s gender fluidity. In 2016, President Barak Obama issued an edict to every public school in the United States demanding that they establish transgender access to bathrooms or risk loss of federal funding or potential lawsuits. Obama, such an outspoken advocate for the LGBTQ movement that Newsweek magazine dubbed him, “America’s First Gay President” – helped to put this unscientific notion at the forefront of American public discourse.

The former President, along with many other influencers helped drive the message home that this was now “the new normal” in society. As a result, many parents have relinquished their authority over their children to their local public school, even letting young children receive hormone therapy or puberty blockers to “assist” their child’s desire to change their sexual identity.

All this is being done despite there being no clear studies on the effects of these drugs on the mental and physical health of these children. In July, a nonpartisan group called the Kelsey Coalition, sent a petition to the US Surgeon General to bring the issue of the dangers of gender-transition drugs to the national stage:

A nonpartisan group called the Kelsey Coalition delivered on Friday a strongly worded petition asking U.S. Surgeon General Jerome Adams to raise awareness about the harms of hormonal treatments and gender reassignment surgeries being performed on gender-nonconforming youth. These treatments and procedures are being done without one long-term study backing their safety or efficacy, they say.

“Parents who consent to these treatments are often misled to believe that their child will be at greater risk of suicide if they do not. There is no evidence to support this claim. In Oregon, parental consent is irrelevant: the law allows 15-year-olds to receive state-subsidized hormonal treatments and surgeries without parental knowledge or permission,” the petition says. The petition also highlights concerns about the hastiness with which these medical and surgical pathways are being opened to young people.

“An increasing number of ‘informed consent’ clinics provide cross-sex hormones to young people after only one or two visits. These clinics do not require mental or physical health assessments. Surgeries may be obtained within months.” (source).

Children Are The Primary Target

“And there came two angels to Sodom at even; and Lot sat in the gate of Sodom: and Lot seeing them rose up to meet them; and he bowed himself with his face toward the ground; And he said, Behold now, my lords, turn in, I pray you, into your servant’s house, and tarry all night, and wash your feet, and ye shall rise up early, and go on your ways. And they said, Nay; but we will abide in the street all night.

“And he pressed upon them greatly; and they turned in unto him, and entered into his house; and he made them a feast, and did bake unleavened bread, and they did eat. But before they lay down, the men of the city, even the men of Sodom, compassed the house round, both old and young, all the people from every quarter: And they called unto Lot, and said unto him, Where are the men which came in to thee this night? bring them out unto us, that we may know them.” – Genesis 19:1-5

The Lord Jesus Christ said the end times would be similar to the “days of Lot” who lived in the city of Sodom in the final days before its supernatural destruction by God. What were the distinctive traits of Sodom and Gomorrah in that era? An outright rejection of God and rampant sexual sin.

In the passage above, all the men of the city showed up at Lot’s house at night demanding to force themselves on the angels who were guests in Lot’s home. And note that the Bible details that “both young and old” men wanted to take part in this public sexual assault. Clearly, there were no longer any prohibitions on sexual activity for these men to be so brazen.

But also of import is the fact that the youth were so indoctrinated into this behavior that they joined in. And at present many public schools are seeking to teach gender confusion and LGTBTQ doctrine to the youngest of students:

• A school district in Ventura County California has started a new curriciulum for kindergarten students to teach them about what it means to be non-binary or transgender. (source).

• During a 1st grade class at Devonshire Community Public School, a teacher presented a YouTube video on gender called “He, She, and They?!?—Gender: Queer Kid Stuff #2” as part of the lesson plan leading a 6-year old girl to start suffering anxiety wondering if she was in fact female. Her parents are now suing. (source).

• A 7th and 8th grade science teacher at Denair Middle School in California, Luis Davila Alvarado, triggered an avalanche of complaints from angry parents after handing out the infamous “Gender Unicorn” graphic to announce his “preferred pronoun” choice and instructed the student to refer to him as “Mx. Alvarado.” (source).  

• An Ohio teacher elementary school teacher encouraged parents to purchase the transgender-promoting books I Am Jazz and Who Are You: The Kid’s Guide To Gender Identity for him on his Amazon Wishlist. This was done without notifying the school despite the fact the teacher intended to read these books to the class. (source).

• In Oregon, a couple are suing their school district after their second-grade son was kept in class alone during recess time by a teacher who showed him videos to teach that it is acceptable for him to be become transgender. The teacher did not notify the parents nor was she authorized by the school to do this. (source).

Science Does Not Support The Transgender Movement

“Studies like this one prove that the belief in “innate gender identity”—the idea that “feminized” or “masculinized” brains can be trapped in the wrong body from before birth—is a myth that has no basis in science.” – Michelle Cretella, M.D., Executive Director of the American College of Pediatricians. “For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:” – Romans 1:26

In an article entitled: “I’m a Pediatrician. How Transgender Ideology Has Infiltrated My Field and Produced Large-Scale Child Abuse”, Dr. Michelle Cretella, Executive Director of the American College of Pediatricians, highlighted the agenda-driven aspect of the transgender movement in medicine:

“Just a few short years ago, not many could have imagined a high-profile showdown over transgender men and women’s access to single-sex bathrooms in North Carolina.

But transgender ideology is not just infecting our laws. It is intruding into the lives of the most innocent among us—children—and with the apparent growing support of the professional medical community.

As explained in my 2016 peer reviewed article, “Gender Dysphoria in Children and Suppression of Debate,” professionals who dare to question the unscientific party line of supporting gender transition therapy will find themselves maligned and out of a job.” (source).

In her lengthy article, Dr. Cretella distinguishes the scientific facts from the politicized agenda:

• Twin studies demonstrated that transgenderism is not rooted in biology and people are not “born in the wrong body.”

• Prior to the widespread promotion of transition affirmation, 75 to 95 percent of pre-pubertal children who were distressed by their biological sex eventually outgrew that distress. The vast majority came to accept their biological sex by late adolescence after passing naturally through puberty.

• There is no scientific support that puberty blockers are safe. In fact, gender transition drugs have been proven to dramatically increase the risk of heart disease heart attacks, diabetes and cancer.

Many proponents of gender transition drugs cite that by allowing children to transition to a new gender, you are helping them avoid suicide. However, one of the largest studies of gender-transitioned adults (done in Sweden, a very liberal, LGBT-affirming nation) found that transitioning surgeries and treatments considerably increased the likelihood of suicide or suicide attempts.

New World Order – The Effort To Vilify Those Who Disagree With The Agenda

Although progressive politicians champion being proponents of “freedom”, the current political climate is that one is evil or hateful for daring to disagree with the unscientific ideas of the pro-transgender movement. New York City’s local government went so far with this idea that they issued a ban that “prohibits counseling to reduce or eliminate unwanted same-sex attractions or gender confusion for a fee.” Essentially, a therapist, psychiatrist or pastor would potentially be committing a crime by counseling a gay or transgender person who wanted help to escape their sexual desires or confusion.

In pop culture celebrities like Access Hollywood host Mario Lopez was forced to issue a public apology for saying:

“I’m never one to tell anyone how to parent their kids, obviously, and I think if you come from a place of love, you really can’t go wrong, but at the same time, my God, if you’re 3 years old and you’re saying you’re feeling a certain way or you think you’re a boy or a girl or whatever the case may be, I just think it’s dangerous as a parent to make that determination.”

“It’s sort of alarming, and my gosh, I just think about the repercussions later on,” he continued. (source).

The outcry was swift and instant, and Lopez had to immediately go into to damage control mode lest Hollywood take away his career.

 Pray For Repentance

“If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.” – 2 Chronicles 7:14

In the midst of this clear effort to indoctrinate children, some parents are taking a stand. Earlier in the year hundreds of parents in California traveled to the state capitol to protest AB-329, California’s new sexual education curriculum that introduces kindergarten students to transgender ideology, uses books that have graphic depictions of sexual acts in 4th grade, takes surveys of children on their sexual identity and behaviors and provides high school students with a “manual” that teaches them deviant behaviors such as sadomasochism, bondage and “blood play.” (source).

Pray for organizations like the BBC, public schools and Hollywood to repent of their clear agenda of indoctrination of children into redefining what gender should mean to them. As society runs farther and farther away from the Word of God, rejects God’s authority and seeks to eliminate any reference to Christ Jesus in the public forum, the result is rampant sinful rebellion in the guide of sexual freedom and liberation. Do not be deceived.

The good news is that Jesus Christ, God in the flesh, died for the sins of all people. Why would Jesus do this? Because He created all people – as males and females.

And whether a person is gay, straight, transgender or multi-gendered, there is forgiveness, redemption and healing at the cross of Christ. We are in a time when these are becoming difficult discussions. But as the scientific studies show, many transgendered people are dealing with serious emotional challenges and Christians need to speak truth in love to them. We do not need to be scared to share Biblical truth, but it must be balanced with the Biblical fact that all the unsaved are like sheep that have gone astray. And the power of the Gospel – the message of forgiveness of sin through faith in the sacrifice of Christ on the cross – can change hearts and bring healing to the rapidly increasing number of children, men and women, who need it so desperately.
