The Descendants 2 movie calls evil good and good evil.
As Hollywood continues to push Satanic rebellion into the hearts and minds of children, the Disney’s Descendants movie series has taken the indoctrination to an entirely new level. The series has been a massive success for the Disney franchise as millions of children and pre-teens have tuned in. The movie series – a spinoff of prior Disney stories and the movie Maleficent – casts evil villains as heroes and celebrates wickedness, sinful rebellion and the occult. All the while it subtly and deceptively reinvents the story of the fall of Lucifer and his fallen angels.
Descendants Villains: Truly Rotten To The Core
The temptation of the forbidden fruit is constantly promoted in the Descendants films.
The Descendants film is about the children of some of the more famous Disney villains (Maleficent, the Evil Snow Queen, Cruella De Vil, Captain Hook, etc.), who along with their parents have been banished to the “Isle of the Lost.” They are given a chance to infiltrate a peaceful kingdom and bring their wicked ways there. The film makes no secret in its symbolism of a bitten apple logo with a serpent-like vine wrapped around it. It is a not-so-subtle allusion to Adam and Eve eating the forbidden fruit of the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil in the Bible:
“Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden? And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden: But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die. And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die:
“For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil. And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat.” – Genesis 3:1-6.
Satan deceived Eve by distorting God’s words (The Lord did not forbid “every tree.” Only one), calling God a liar (telling her she would not die if she ate the forbidden fruit) and slandering God (telling her that the fruit would make her god-like, implying that God wanted to keep this knowledge and ability from her).
And just like that, what was once evil and dangerous to Eve became exciting and alluring. This is the precise deception of Descendants as it repeatedly portrays sinful rebellion, wickedness and witchcraft as fun and cool.
Continuing the theme of eating the forbidden apple, the original Descendants movie opens up with the song “Rotten To the Core”:
The first image of the video is Mal (the daughter of Maleficent from Sleeping Beauty), spray painting “Long Live Evil” on a wall.
The main character Mal spray paints the film’s mantra: Long Live Evil.
While of course the basic message is her rebellion and vandalism, her writing of “Evil” with the letters backwards is a part of the Occult Law of Reversal. This concept, strongly endorsed by satanist Aleister Crowley, teaches that occult powers can be enhanced when words or writings are done backwards:
“Those who want fame, power, spell-casting abilities, demons at their beck and call, and to recognize the godhead within, as well as to know the past, present, and future, he extolled to his apt students, must consistently, with intensity, practice talking (reverse speech), walking, thinking, and playing phonograph records, backwards. This is a form of divination, and we are warned against this in the Holy Bible.” (source).
Reverse writing is found all over the video.
Just seconds later in the video another villain jumps off a rooftop and notice the image in the background:
The film very subtly reveals its satanic symbolism.
Spray-painted on the image of a dragon are the words: “The Dragon Shall Rise Again.” The Bible identifies Satan as the Dragon:
“And there appeared another wonder in heaven; and behold a great red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, and seven crowns upon his heads. And his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven, and did cast them to the earth: and the dragon stood before the woman which was ready to be delivered, for to devour her child as soon as it was born. And she brought forth a man child, who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron: and her child was caught up unto God, and to his throne.” – Revelation 12:3-5.
“And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels, And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven. And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.” – Revelation 12:7-9.
Just as Satan was subtle in the Garden of Eden, the image of the dragon only appears on screen for a few brief seconds.
Here the reversed “evil” is written on the back of the genie from Aladdin. Genies are just another term for what the Bible calls demons.
While the kids do their impressive dance moves, subliminal messages abound.
The remainder of the video celebrates the Descendants harassing people and causing mischief. And these are the heroes of the movie. To understand the popularity of this series, consider that this video has been viewed over 250 million times.
In 1 Timothy 4 the Apostle Paul prophesied:
“Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron;” – 1 Timothy 4:1-2.
Kids and their parents alike have been fully seduced by the spirit of rebellion in Disney films to that extent that movies that openly celebrates evil are welcome into millions of homes all over America and the world.
The Descendants also promotes the doctrines of devils – as its heroes use witchcraft and demonic worship to achieve their wicked goals. How can parents allow this? This is the result of so many families moving away from true faith in Jesus Christ and the Bible. When God is rejected in someone’s heart or in a family or a nation, soon the last vestiges of His Spirit – the human conscience, will become “seared with a hot iron” – meaning people will be so indifferent to sin that even blatant satanic entertainment will seem normal and acceptable.
Maleficent – Sympathy For The Devil
The Maleficent character was based on Satan.
Disney very cleverly set the stage for the Descendants series after the 2014 release of Maleficent, starring Angelina Jolie in the role of the evil witch villain from Sleeping Beauty. In the original Sleeping Beauty, Maleficent was a thinly veiled replica of Satan. Her outfit had horns and was shaped to look as if she had wings. Because of a minor offense, she chose to curse Sleeping Beauty to die on her 16th birthday. She expressed hatred for those around her calling them “idiots” and “imbeciles.” Her pet raven was named Diablo (Spanish for Devil).
In her final confrontation with the prince who would save Sleeping Beauty, Maleficent’s castle glows with fire. She also turns into a dragon (yet another allusion to Satan) and tells the prince: “Now shall you deal with me, O Prince, and all the powers of hell!” The prince ends up killing her and saving the day.
Since when do “good fairies” look like this?
In the modern Maleficent movie, Maleficent is now the hero. Rather than being an utterly evil being like the Devil, she is merely a misunderstood fairy. After a greedy human king tries to steal from the spirit realm where the fairies live, Maleficent defeats him, stoking his desire for revenge. At the same time Maleficent falls in love with a human man, whom the king pays to attack Maleficent and cut off her wings. She can no longer fly to the Heavens and thus she is a fallen spirit. The Bible details the fall of Satan, once a good angel, in the Book of Isaiah:
“How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations! For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north: I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High.” – Isaiah 14:12-14.
The film seems to repeatedly indicate that it is an allusion to the fall of Lucifer.
Given that the original Sleeping Beauty film had such overt references to Satan, Maleficent takes it in a different direction – Satan as victim. It was because her wings were maliciously cut off, that she casts the spell on Aurora, the Sleeping Beauty. In order to keep the humans from tracking her down, Maleficent builds a wall of thorns around their kingdom. After Satan deceived Adam and Eve God punished Adam by announcing that when he tried to grow crops, the ground would produce thorns:
“And unto Adam he said, Because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree, of which I commanded thee, saying, Thou shalt not eat of it: cursed is the ground for thy sake; in sorrow shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life; Thorns also and thistles shall it bring forth to thee; and thou shalt eat the herb of the field;” – Genesis 3:17-18.
Shortly after putting her hex on Aurora, Maleficent wants to help Sleeping Beauty and seeks to undo the curse, serving as a distant caretaker of Aurora as she grows up in the spirit realm. By the time Aurora is 15, she is so moved by Maleficent’s compassion, she thinks that she is her fairy godmother.
Only the kiss from Maleficent could save Aurora in the end.
At the end of the film, the Prince attempts to kiss and revive Sleeping Beauty but his effort is futile. It takes someone with “true love”, and lo and behold, it takes a kiss from Maleficent to revive the princess. Thus morality and sexuality are both confused for the child audience. Maleficent looks like Satan or Baphomet (Angelina Jolie stated that her look for the movie was inspired by Lady Gaga who is also known for dressing up like Baphomet and using blasphemous satanic imagery in her videos). Yet despite Maleficent’s satanic appearance, she is good and loving. She casts deadly spells on infants but is the only character in the film who has “true love” in her heart.
In the final scenes, Maleficent, the clear hero of the film, not only saves the Princess but is able to unite the spirit and human realm, giving her power over all. She then makes Sleeping Beauty queen.
In the Book of Revelation, Satan in similar fashion uses the Antichrist to promote worship of him:
“And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast. And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him? And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty and two months. And he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme his name, and his tabernacle, and them that dwell in heaven.” – Revelation 13:3-6.
Maleficent has been a hit with young children.
Right along with satanic worship, the Antichrist will denigrate the true God of the Bible and anyone who believes in Jesus Christ. Already society is being groomed for such a day as Maleficent made over $750M at the global box office. The Maleficent movie ends with the demonic fairy regaining her wings and soaring to the Heavens. Thus the fallen angel has been redeemed and elevated.
Descendants 2: More Sinful Rebellion
Mal, the daughter of Maleficent and a practicing witch, is the cool hero of the movie.
“For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft” – 1 Samuel 15:23.
With all the prior success, it’s no surprise that millions of kids, teens and adults were eagerly awaiting Descendants 2 which premiered in July 2017. It’s biggest hit song was Ways To Be Wicked. Here is the video:
The video opens with the Descendants casting a spell around a witch’s cauldron. Mal, the main character and daughter of Maleficent, recites an incantation from her book of spells: “Wicked ways beneath the skin. Let all who taste it now join in.” As found in the Bible, the Descendants movie correctly identifies sinful desire with the flesh:
“This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh. For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would. But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law. Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,
“Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.” – Galatians 5:16-23.
If we let our flesh or “wicked ways” lead us to fornication, hatred, witchcraft and the other sins listed, we will not “inherit the kingdom of God.” This is the punishment for a life of open rebellion against The Lord Jesus Christ. But what the Bible teaches is that when a person becomes a born again believer in Jesus Christ the “fruit” they bear is of the Holy Spirit – and it seeks love, joy, peace and many other noble feelings.
The opening shot of “Ways to be wicked” shows the kids casting a spell.
But of course in Descendants 2, the villains use their enchanted apples to corrupt the good prep school students and their faculty into being wicked. Here are the lyrics of the song (which in 2 1/2 months has 70 million views on YouTube):

The movie is a celebration of evil and rebellion.
After getting all the students and faculty to eat their enchanted apples, inciting chaos in the school, the villains then erect a statue of the Beast from Beauty and The Beast in the front of the school building:
Evie helps erect an image of the Beast for the students to dance around.
In Revelation chapter 13 the False Prophet, the religious cohort of the Antichrist, deceives the world into constructing “the Image of the Beast” a type of statue of the Antichrist that all people in the end times will be required to worship:
“And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live.
“And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed.” – Revelation 13:14-15.
What spirit inspired these lyrics and this video? A godly spirit? The repeated references to forbidden fruit, “liberation” via sin and the occult all form a very dangerous spiritual message. Do not be deceived.
Hollywood’s Corruption of Children
The Descendants franchise has been a merchandising success for Disney.
“At the same time came the disciples unto Jesus, saying, Who is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven? And Jesus called a little child unto him, and set him in the midst of them, And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven. Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven. And whoso shall receive one such little child in my name receiveth me. But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea.” – Matthew 18:1-6.
Whether it’s Victoria’s Secret marketing itself to little girls, the Pink Ouija board or Disney, Beginning And End has detailed in many articles the constant effort by Hollywood to promote sin and fornication to little children. In the Descendants 2 song Kiss The Girl, the villains sing:

Turn Off Descendants
Children can purchase Mal’s spell book which contains her journal notes and dozens of incantations.
Pray for the millions of families who have embraced what is no doubt a mega-financial success for Disney. The Descendants 2 series is a sad sign of how far society has removed itself from God and the utter lack of any spiritual discernment. The book of James says:
“Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts. Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.
“Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded. Be afflicted, and mourn, and weep: let your laughter be turned to mourning, and your joy to heaviness. Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up.- James 4:3-4; 6-8.
The message of the world being promoted to our children is “long live evil” and the fun of being wicked sinners. That is certainly a path to being God’s enemy and eternal damnation in Hell. Pray for parents to resist Satan’s temptation and rather than rushing to throw the next Descendant’s party, they get on their knees and repent for their sinful influence over their children. That will only happen with acknowledging their sin before God and seeking Jesus with a heavy heart.
The beauty of children is that their hearts are open to faith. This is why Jesus said His believers must be “as children.” It is time to recognize the war for their hearts and minds. The Bible says: “Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!” (Isaiah 5:20). Hollywood has found many ways to boldly proclaim that evil is good. It is long overdue for more parents to counter that message by seeking God’s free forgiveness of sin and promoting the Gospel, not ways to be wicked.

I am 16, non- Christian (I don’t believe in religion, I believe in science – or Ancient Greek and Roman beliefs- much more interesting than the Bible). I went online looking to see if their was a hidden message in the film and I get this shoved in my face. Apples… SNOW WHITE AND THE SEVEN DWARFS, DUH! Burn your bibles and actually just watch a film or read a book without thinking… obviously, this is sinful.
Hello wizardingworldofwinx. For sure, this article may seem a little over the top to some. Maybe it is…anyway, I don’t really get into the hidden message thing. I thought this was an interesting take on some of today’s culture. I do believe there is hidden evil influencing our society. What, where and how is a matter of debate.
I don’t believe science and God are opposites or contradict each other. In fact, I think much of science supports the existence of a God. Take the creation of our universe for example…many agree there was a “Big Bang” that set our universe in motion. The question is, how did it start? Who set it off?
Some believe it was random but is that really logical? How could something so complex and diverse happen by chance? It certainly seems logical to think it was all coordinated.
Also, how is it possible for something to be created from nothing? How could the universe begin without something to start the process? Something cannot be created from absolute nothingness (Is that a word? ☺)
It is hard to comprehend the concept of a God that always existed and was never born. But when you think of about it, science supports this concept because of what I spoke of before. There always had to be something to create something else from nothing, otherwise there would be no universe or life as we know it.
Science is fun. Ancient history is fascinating. Believing in God doesn’t mean you need to shut yourself off from the world. Experience life, explore mysteries, search for answers and never stop looking for the truth. If you’re honest with yourself, one day you’ll find it young man. Turmoil in the Toybox. It’s from 1984, when the United States of America was in the middle of an inexplicable Satanic/occult panic.
Phil Philips, author of the book on which this documentary is based, leads a discussion about the perils of modern toys, including just about every single 80s toy or cartoon you have ever liked.
Some highlights:
– 39 minutes there’s a discussion of how Thundercats is tied into Hinduism and ancient Pagan symbolism. The Eye of Thundera, it turns out, teaches children about the third eye. They talk to the dead, and their martial arts are… I don’t know, tied in to Eastern stuff somehow.
– 50 minutes in we get to Dungeons & Dragons. They have a field day.
– 59 minutes they get really upset about Sectaurs, because of some —- from the Book of Revelation.
– 1:02 is where it gets really great. Star Wars is Satanic because The Force is how witches refer to the power they received from Satan. Darth Vader, it turns out, looks almost exactly like the Norse god Odin (?) and Yoda is a Zen master, which is bad because it’s Not Jesus.
– 1:03:28 we get to ET: The Extra Terrestrial, which is a secret occult movie thanks to the levitation, psychic healing and mental telepathy on display.
– 1:12 we get the truth about The Smurfs. They’re blue with black lips…. just like dead things. And they’re an all-male community, except for Smurfette, who is transgendered. They’re undead homosexuals, basically.
There’s more, including an expose of the Care Bear Stare, the occult aspects of Rainbow Brite cereal and the shocking truth about Wonder Woman’s relationship with demons.
I like to think all claims like this are true and the Illuminati are just doggedly trying to convert just one kid — just one malleable kid — into their cult through toys and cartoons. Just Thirty-some-odd years of increasingly frustrated annual meetings with charts showing how cartoons profoundly influence kids’ cereal choices but somehow haven’t led to a single little brat signing away his soul to Satan.
Maybe its because most parents raise there kid to realize reality vs fantasy.
All of those things are actually true. The devil’s favorite tool is to subtly mix good and evil. It’s gotten to the point where he doesn’t even have to be subtle about it. Gnosticism is extremely popular in all forms of entertainment these days and people eat it up!! The types of lifestyles, behaviors and choices of entertainment that are popular today never would have been accepted on a wide scale 50 years ago. All of those subtle images, themes and spiritualistic tones in kids shows and movies have worked their “magic” to create the society we have today. Sexualized imagery, homosexuality, transgenderism, Gnosticism, witchcraft and spiritualism is commonplace in all kids programming. Just imagine what it will be like 20 years from now.
Boys have been dressing like a giant bat-like vigilante for decades. Meh.
Girls put on similar garb,complete with horns and bat-like wings? The end is nigh.
Thanks for the Expose on Disney. Sad, frightening thoughts about how the subtlety is influencing children today. They must have looked at the ‘Harry Potter’ franchise movies and said to themselves “We can duplicate the same strategies”. They probably are so duped that they don’t realize they are tools for the devil.
you do realize that when Malelificent gets her wings taken away its symbol for raoe she he drugs her first. Kiss the girl is feom the little mermaid and have you even watched the films and understood its message. the first was the children following their own paths instead of the ones their parents took and the second is mal struggling to fit an idea while her prince loves her for you she is and that fact that prince made a person to help better the lives for the other children on the isle of the lost but he hasnt done so. The gospel of Thomas is not part of scripture so we should not take anything from it as ‘Inspired of God’ and therefore not applicable. That book has been recognized by scholars of the past as a book of Heresy.

Ok. Not trying to hurt your feelings or blast you for your views, it’s your opinion and your entitled to it.
But…
People go WAY too far on stuff like this. Or at least most stuff like this. I don’t have any argument for Maleficent, that’s just a weird movie nobody asked for, but Descendents, if you actually watched the film, they make the case that over the course of the movie the main characters change their ways and end up fighting Maleficent.
Imma say that again: the bad guys switch sides and fight the actual bad guy.
Here’s the thing though, if you look for stuff in anything (be it book, movie, game, tv, shirt) you’re gonna find it. If you look for evil things, you’ll find it; if you look for good things, you’ll find it.
If you stare at a brick wall long enough you’re gonna see a pattern or a face or something.
Look at it this way: the main characters in Descendents are evil, born and bred and raised up, kinda like us born into sin. They go to this great place to destroy it from the inside, but instead they start changing and growing up. By the end of the movie, they don’t let Maleficent destroy the people they’ve grown to care about, they stop her.
Am I saying I’m right and you’re wrong? Not really.
Yes: the music video is filled with imagery of a peculiar nature.
Yes: The apple symbolism is on the nose.
Yes: the thing with the statue of Beast is…yeah.
But I’m almost positive if you didn’t point this out nobody would notice. Am I saying this is an evil show? I don’t know, for all I know it could be.
What I am saying is that different things affect different people in different ways.
My grandma is one of the most devout Christians I know of. She’s got her flaws same as me and you, but at the same time she’s had some experience in things like this:

Once she was reading one of the books and this guy walked up to her and said those books are evil, that he read one and woke up in the middle of the nigh with a demon sitting on his belly. My grandmas been alive for years and she’s had her ups and downs, but Harry Potter has never influenced her negatively.
Also, she used to work with this one woman who would “fire and brimstone” EVERYBODY she could. At one point she told a high school boy that he was going to Hell, and my grandma stepped in. She told the boy not to worry about it, sent him off, and rounded on the other woman saying that NOBODY knows who’s going to Heaven or Hell. She has no right to judge others. Jesus was crucified next to two thieves: one who was upset Jesus didn’t get Himself off the cross, and the other who said he knew he deserved this, believed that Jesus was the Son of God, and asked Jesus to remember him. Jesus told the thief “today you will be with Me in Paradise”.
Two thieves, both crucified, one repentant, the other not, and one went to Heaven while the other went to Hell.
Can stuff like this influence you? Absolutely. I myself though my porn watching wasn’t hurting anything until I tried to stop and discovered it warped my view of women. I’m now trying to stop my addiction.
Then we get to the Joker article you did. All that is 100% correct. But notice who it was who got influenced: people who most likely have some kind of mental illness, or are just messed up. But also, that movie was a semi-realistic version of Batman, so it was viewed by a mostly adult audience (I would hope no parent takes there kid to see something that dark, but I digress). Now this example: Steven Universe. A show for kids with a large adult fanbase (like MLP:FiM) that has an all-female race of aliens and a boy who is a half-breed of human and alien. The show is good, but as Artistic Layman (a Christian reviewer/artist) pointed out, there is a strong sense of homosexual themes. I myself can defend it all day, but I don’t have the time right now, so I’ll just go over the biggest “issue”:
The Gems (aliens) can “fuse”, merging their two forms together to create something with the “best” of both of the originals. They do this for fighting and it’s actually a pretty poignant metaphor for relationships of all kinds: they need flexibility, love and trust (to quote one of the shows songs) for the relationship to grow. They use this to deal with issues like abusive relationships, repairing broken relationships, how to work and grow together, etc. But then we get to Garnet, the leader of the main squad and a permanent fusion of two others, Ruby and Sapphire. They are fused permenantly because they love each other…like, REALLY love each other. It’s not for sexual reasons, because Gems don’t procreate. When two other Gems fuse, Pearl and Amythyst, they don’t stay that way, and in fact they’re often at each other’s throats most of the time, but they use that “relationship” to grow as friends and comrades.
We can go on all day, but the point I’m trying to make is: a fictional story like Descendents or Harry Potter or Steven Universe isn’t going to influence you unless you have no concept of morality or you CAUSE the influence yourself. I would trust the parents everywhere to watch what their kids are doing and help them grow, but that’s my naivety.

Not taken personally, but you have to be a complete wiener to expose any child to this stuff…Kids are so impressionable and they start to believe this junk. Have you looked to see how the children’s merchandise is for this movie? Your child can own a spell book…how evil and anti-Christ is that?? Too much for my family…that’s for sure.
I just wanted to say… you can get Harry Potter textbooks now. Oh no! This is a sin! Burn them! Burn the author, the actors, the directors, the Publishers at the stake!
Admittedly after thinking about it I’ve come to the realization that you are right…at least to a point.
I’ve been thinking about it lately and came up with this, the board game LIFE can possibly be an indoctrination into the American Dream: job, house, wife, kids, dog, retirement, and your life is well spend. You can make the argument that ANYTHING and EVERYTHING is indoctrinating children into some kind of backwards unchristian way of thinking and acting.
But I’ve also come to the realization that being a Christian doesn’t mean being a stick in the mud: there are many Christians out there whom have fun and enjoy life. I’m not saying you need games and tv to enjoy life, but their so ingrained into today’s culture that their impossible to get away from unless you go “off the grid” so to speak.
I certainly know I’m not perfect, and that I’m struggling with many sins in my life, the most prevalent I can think of is pornography. It keeps me up at night, warps my view of women, and I am fully aware it is sinful. Now, the Good Lord has helped me in this matter, I’ve gone a couple of days before without looking at it, and I know Jesus is working with me.
My advice for anyone watching secular media: it’s not all bad, and you can take Christian morals from just about anything. But it’s a double-edged blade: you can also make evil out of pretty much anything. The concepts of books, television, movies, games, comics, music and so forth are neutral. It’s the message that they convey that is the real deal. For example, both 50 Cent and Lecrae are rappers…except 50 Cent raps about being a “gangsta” while Lecrae shares the Gospel through rapping.
Speaking of the word “wicked” — has anyone sat down and actually thought about the message of Wicked, one of the most popular shows on Broadway… ever. (a show that has traveled the world)
The whole message in the show is that the wicked witch from The Wizard of Oz, isn’t wicked at all.. she’s just “different.”
The show makes it out like everyone else is wicked, because they call her wicked.
Sound familiar?
It’s incredible to note how many movies, TV shows, commercials, popular books and Broadway musicals base their entire storyline on how “different” is good.. how we need to embrace the things that have been traditionally rejected. Traditions = bad, New/Different = good.
The “storytellers” are doing an incredible job indoctrinating our children. No wonder our society has flipped on so many issues of morality, in just the last generation.

Yeah, we should totally keep up our tradition of slavery, Jim Crow laws, sexism, racism, and obviously the punishment of hung, drawn and quartered for people who commit felony.
The apple, to me, is the symbol for the Evil Queen. The serpent like vine represents Maleficent. The ‘2’ in the next film is a symbol of Ursula.
The first film is about redemption. It shows the views of three generations. The oldest generation (Queen Leah, Maleficent etc.) refuse to change their beliefs and ways – i.e. Maleficent stays evil. The next generation (Belle, Beast, Fairy Godmother), gradually learn to accept new traditions. The last generation (AK’s and VK’s) accept new traditions faster than the generations above them. At the end of the movie, the VK’s decide to be good. Audrey accepts Mal, and Chad is no longer making fake promises.
Wizardingworldofwinx- If you are an unbeliever then what brought you to this message board? Are you here to learn about the God of the Christian Bible or to just stir up trouble, mock, scoff and attack Jesus Christ and his believers?
I see many comments of that this is all not true or that the children have to lead their own lives and all that shit.
