DmC is the 5th entry in the popular Devil May Cry video game series, which has sold missions of copies worldwide. The game is a blatant promotion of the occult, New World order and Satanic agenda to twist the account of the Bible. The game’s main character is a Nephilim hybrid who battles a demonic king to save the world. While it may on its face seem to oppose the New World Order and forces evil, the game is a brazen indoctrination into the occult. DmC is just one of several high-selling video games that distort the message of the Bible and continue the preparation of society for the arrival of the Antichrist.
The Plot
Dante, the game’s main character (and named as an homage to the poet Dante who penned the Divine Comedy, and specifically the poem ‘Inferno’ – the word inferno is Italian for hell), is explained in the game’s description: “Dante is the child of an angel named Eva and the demon Sparda, and seemingly hunts down other demons in the twisted shadows of Limbo City, while slowly coming to grips with his ethereal powers.” (source). In the game, he learns that a shadow figure named Mundus has killed his mother and seeks revenge. The game is filled with satanic and occult imagery as well as Illuminati symbolism.

Anti-New World Order?
In DmC, Dante “wakes up” to the truth about the New World Order that controls Limbo City.
On its face the game seems to be about a battle against the New World Order and Illuminati. The villain in the game, Mundus, secretly wields all of the power in America. Through his control of international banks, he has forced debt upon corporations and politicians alike, making them his servants. He even has the President at his mercy (in the game’s opening scene he demands a trillion dollars from the President “by Friday” to which the President agrees). He monitors all of Limbo City through his CCTV camera system giving him full access to all activity and communications of all people real-time (a soon-to-be reality we explored in our article New World Order Surveillance Society – Building The All-Seeing Eye). His demon-empowered soft drinks have turned the masses into dumbed down, obese zombies.
Mundus, the demon king and villain in the game, is the head of the Illuminati in Limbo City.
He owns a news station which gives biased reports and information 24 hours a day. Entertainers, pop stars and celebrity athletes are mere pawns in his empire, controlled by demons to make entertainment for the world. Much of the game’s depiction matches the Illuminati conspiracies of today. Mundus is opposed by a secret society called The Order, who recruit Dante in their quest. And Dante, the game’s hero, upon learning that Mundus was responsible for his mother’s death is determined to take the evil mogul and his empire down.
While these plot points make the story seem like a simple story of good and evil, there is a much greater occult indoctrination at play.
Satanic Symbolism
Dante’s drink of choice is called “666” and features three devils.
“Symbolism is the language of the Mysteries; in fact it is the language not only of mysticism and philosophy but of all Nature, for every law and power active in universal procedure is manifested to the limited sense perceptions of man through the medium of symbol. Every form existing in the diversified sphere of being is symbolic of the divine activity by which it is produced. By symbols men have ever sought to communicate to each other those thoughts which transcend the imitations of language. Rejecting man-conceived dialects as inadequate and unworthy to perpetuate divine ideas, the Mysteries thus chose symbolism as a far more ingenious and ideal method of preserving their transcendental knowledge. In a single figure a symbol may both reveal and conceal, for to the wise the subject of the symbol is obvious, while to the ignorant the figure remains inscrutable. Hence, he who seeks to unveil the secret doctrine of antiquity must search for that doctrine not upon the open pages of books which might fall into the hands of the unworthy but in the place where it was originally concealed.” –Manly P. And as [Jesus] sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world? And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you. – Matthew 24:3-4.
Satanic and Illuminati imagery abound in Devil May Cry. From the opening scene Dante drinks from a drink called “666.” In scripture, the number 666 is known as the number of the Beast, another term for the Antichrist – the satanically empowered, false messiah who will rule the world for the final 3 ½ years before the Second Coming of Jesus Christ. As part of his global domination, the Antichrist will establish an economic system called the Mark of the Beast, a mark that is placed in the right hand or forehead of every person on the planet. The Mark will be the only way any buying or selling of any item will be done in the world. It is described in Revelation Chapter 13:
And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads: And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name. Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six. – Revelation 13:16-18.
The Mark will be enforced by penalty of death. And such a system clearly requires that the Mark have the financial data of every single person and can update it real time. While such a technology was inconceivable in the first century AD when Revelation was written, in today’s society, with RFID technology it is clearly feasible (for more information on the Mark please our article “666 – The Mark of The Beast: Humanity’s Ultimate Choice”).
Here the angel statue behind Dante’s bed is positioned to subtly symbolize that he is a Nephilim hybrid:
The game subtly promotes the hero’s Nephilim hybrid status.
The Nephilim were evil and a part of Satan’s plan to destroy humanity, not save it (there will be more on this below).
Two posters for the rock group ‘Combichrist’ adorn Dante’s wall. Combichrist a Norwegian heavy metal band, took its name from a “punk rock messiah” character from a comic strip written by the band’s lead singer. This comic Messiah would attack people after consuming drugs and alcohol and then come back and heal them (a blasphemous reference to Jesus Christ).

Note the reference to a “Divine Inferno” and recall that inferno is the Latin term for hell. Hell is praised as being divine while Heaven is referenced as “burning” in a “sacrifice”. A prior album by the group was entitled ‘Today We Are All Demons.’ What spirit is behind this music? Ephesians 2 explains the spirit that operates today in the unsaved: “And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins; Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience: Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others.” (Ephesians 2:1-3).
The spirit of the “prince of the power of the air” is another name for the spirit of Satan. And the point of the passage is that those who are unsaved, who have faith in Jesus Christ and no fear of God, are operating under Satanic and demonic influence.
Combichrist was very involved in the production of the soundtrack for Devil May Cry. And this is the group that the “hero” and “Savior” has on his bedroom wall. Satan desires to blur the lines between right and wrong in order to introduce confusion and sin. But God makes the distinction clear: “Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter! Woe unto them that are wise in their own eyes, and prudent in their own sight!” (Isaiah 5:20-21). Those who follow God and seek His righteousness (which is found through faith in Jesus Christ, the true Savior) are not to mingle with the forces of evil. And calling something good that is in fact evil, is sin.
Additionally there is a mode in the game Dante can enter to called “Devil Trigger”
‘Devil Trigger’ allows Dante to assume his true form and appearance.
The ability is described by the game’s Wiki:
Devil Trigger (often abbreviated as D.T.) is a special power possessed by demons and demonic hybrids which allows them to release their full supernatural potential. While in Devil Trigger, the user will assume their true form. In this form, many of the character’s physical and magical attributes are amplified, and the character may have access to upgrades or even additions to their normal abilities like flying or hovering. (source).
Devil Trigger represents the ultimate power in the game. It is what players are told to aspire for. Rather than an enemy, it is satanic power that fuels Dante and his Nephilim demonic twin brother.

Symbols of the all-seeing eye of Lucifer are displayed throughout the game.
The Bible warns Christians to protect their mind and heart from satanic influence: “Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.” (Proverbs 4:23). To those in the occult symbols carry a great power to communicate secret ideas as well as imprint an idea on the minds of the viewer. Spending countless hours playing the same game repetitively as video gamers do, is an easy way to make sure those occult images are well-ingrained.
Promotion Of The Occult
A demonic medium and witch, Kat is a major asset to the heroes in DmC.
Dante’s sidekick in the game is a girl named Kat. Here is her description:
Kat is described as a spirit medium, with the ability to see and hear Limbo, able to interact with Dante wherever he may be. She uses her spray cans and stencils to create magical glyphs in the area, which serve several purposes, principal among them marking points from which Dante can escape from Limbo. (source).
The above-referenced spray cans are filled with herbs and other items Kat concocts as part of witchcraft potions that provide her with magical powers. Dante regularly uses her abilities as a medium and wiccan practitioner to help with his missions. The Bible is clear that witchcraft is a sin:
There shall not be found among you any one that maketh his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, or that useth divination, or an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch. Or a charmer, or a consulter with familiar spirits, or a wizard, or a necromancer. For all that do these things are an abomination unto the Lord: and because of these abominations the Lord thy God doth drive them out from before thee. – Deuteronomy 18:10-12.
Mediums communicate with demonic forces to use their “power” and this is a grave sin. Additionally the use of witchcraft or charms, are also forbidden by The Lord. But for the “good guys” in Devil May Cry and for the players of the game, these occult methods are all a part of the fight to save the world.
In describing her appearance the game wiki states: “The star tattoo on Kat’s forehead is also the location of the Third Eye, or Ajna, the brow chakra in dharmic traditions, responsible for spiritual consciousness and clarity of intuition. This plays into how Kat can see into the Limbo dimension, and otherwise see spirits, as a Medium.” The pineal gland or third eye is revered in the occult for its ability to help turn humans into god-like beings.
Christian News site Cutting Edge Ministries in their article on the Third Eye writes:
“For those who may not understand what the Third Eye is, occultists believe that a spiritual eye — called the Pineal Gland — exists right between the forehead, just waiting to be “opened” by the person achieving “higher consciousness”. The women of India depict this Third Eye by a dot in their foreheads. Occultists teach that, if a person were truly to achieve the highest degree possible in consciousness, this Third Eye would actually open physically, so all could see it. .. Albert Pike also taught the Third Eye, called Blazing Star. “… the Blazing Star [Pentagram] in our Lodges, as we have already said, represents Sirius, Anubis, or Mercury, Guardian and Guide of our Souls. Our ancient English brethren also considered it an emblem of the Sun. In the old lectures they said: ‘The Blazing Star or Glory in the centre refers us to that Grand Luminary, the Sun …the Blazing Star has been regarded as an emblem of Omniscience, or the All-seeing Eye, which to the Ancients was the Sun” [Morals and Dogma, p. 506;).” (source).
Opening the Third Eye is yet another tool of witchcraft to contact the demonic realm. And the game promotes it as a helpful in the battle against evil. This is the subtle deception of sin – while the gamer may think the game is against Satan, it is quietly promoting the many sinful methods of the occult.
Distorting God’s Word – Satan’s Agenda
In the Bible, the first mother of humanity is named Eve. In DmC, the first mother of a Nephilim is named “Eva.”
Now the serpent was more [subtle] than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden? And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden: But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die. And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die: For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil. And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat. – Genesis 3:1-6.
“[Satan] was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.” – Jesus Christ, John 8:44.
Since the creation of humanity the Devil has used the twisting and altering of God’s Word to lure people into sin. The start of the deception of Eve in the Garden of Eden was done by simply taking part of God’s truth (God forbidding Adam and Eve from eating from the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil) and inserting a lie (“Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden? “ – when God had only forbidden one tree and given Adam and Eve free access to every other tree in the Garden). This initial twisting then led to an outright lie – that Eve would not die if she ate of the forbidden fruit, despite God already saying so. And in this modern era, the same tactics are being used. In DmC, the angellic mother of the Nephilim is named “Eva.” Rather than being seen as a rebellious, evil angel for having intimate relations with a demon, she is cast as the victim of discrimination – punished only for falling in love.
The Nephilim
Vergil and Dante, Nephilim brothers, are the heroes of the game.
Beginning and End has detailed the Biblical account of the Nephilim, hybrid giants who terrorized humanity in the time before and after the flood. They were the offspring of rebellious, evil angels who took human women as wives:
And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them, That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose. And the Lord said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years. There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown. And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. And it repented the Lord that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart.- Genesis 6:1-6.
The Nephilim giants, inheriting the evil nature of their fallen angelic fathers, were Satan’s plan to corrupt the human gene pool, bring sin and evil into society and ruin the chance of the Messiah ever being born (for more on this please see our articles The Nephilim – Giants In The Bible and its sequel Bloodlines of The Nephilim – A Biblical Study). They spread so much evil on the Earth, that The Lord regretted ever creating man in the first place. They were also the reason for the global flood.
Intimate relations with demons and angels are portrayed as “true love.”
Yet in Devil may Cry 5, the Nephilim are the heroes. And rather than follow the Biblical account, Dante and his twin brother Vergil are the offspring of an angel and a demon. Demons in the Bible, also known as “unclean spirits” are evil beings that do not have bodies and wreak havoc by attacking or possessing human beings. During Jesus’ First Coming to earth, he encountered many demon possessed people. And not only did they acknowledge Him as the Son of God, they feared Him greatly:
And there was in their synagogue a man with an unclean spirit; and he cried out, Saying, Let us alone; what have we to do with thee, thou Jesus of Nazareth? art thou come to destroy us? I know thee who thou art, the Holy One of God. And Jesus rebuked him, saying, Hold thy peace, and come out of him. And when the unclean spirit had torn him, and cried with a loud voice, he came out of him. And they were all amazed, insomuch that they questioned among themselves, saying, What thing is this? what new doctrine is this? for with authority commandeth he even the unclean spirits, and they do obey him. And immediately his fame spread abroad throughout all the region round about Galilee. – Mark 1:23-28.
The Bible forbids any mingling with demonic spirits: “Ye cannot drink the cup of the Lord, and the cup of devils: ye cannot be partakers of the Lord’s table, and of the table of devils.” (1 Corinthians 10:21). In Devil May Cry demons can be heroes or even prophets (in the case of a character named Phineas who helps Dante).
The game preaches that Nephilim are the key to saving the world.
Rather than put any focus on Jesus Christ, DmC makes the Nephilim hybrid the savior of humanity. In the game, Dante and his brother are the only beings capable of defeating the demon king, Mundus. So rather than being a satanic threat to humanity, the Nephilim are the way of salvation for the world in Devil may Cry.
The Spirit Realm
One of the spirt beings Dante confronts in “limbo.”
In Devil May Cry Dante and his cohorts enter “limbo” a dimension where they can see and fight demons (who are invisible to normal humans). The Bible informs us that there truly is a spirit realm where angels and other spirits exist invisible to the human eye. In 2 Kings Chapter 6, Scripture provides a glimpse into its operation. At that time Syria was at war with Israel and Elisha was able to provide the King of Israel with intelligence on their enemies as he was supernaturally learning the battle plans of the Syrian forces. So Israel was able to evade defeat on several occasions. Soon the Syrian King learned that the prophet was the “spy” and sent a military detachment after him:
And one of his servants said, None, my lord, O king: but Elisha, the prophet that is in Israel, telleth the king of Israel the words that thou speakest in thy bedchamber. And he said, Go and spy where he is, that I may send and fetch him. And it was told him, saying, Behold, he is in Dothan. Therefore sent he thither horses, and chariots, and a great host: and they came by night, and compassed the city about. And when the servant of the man of God was risen early, and gone forth, behold, an host compassed the city both with horses and chariots. And his servant said unto him, Alas, my master! how shall we do? And he answered, Fear not: for they that be with us are more than they that be with them. And Elisha prayed, and said, Lord, I pray thee, open his eyes, that he may see. And the Lord opened the eyes of the young man; and he saw: and, behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire round about Elisha. – 2 Kings 6:12-17.
When Elisha’s servant saw the Syrian forces coming he panicked. But Elisha reassured him that they were safe by praying to God to have the servant’s eyes temporarily “opened” to see the spirit realm and that a Godly angelic force surrounded them for their protection. Interestingly this heavenly host did not fight the Syrians. Elisha prayed for God to smite the soldiers with blindness and The Lord obliged. So it is probable that the angelic defense force was there to ward off demonic or fallen angelic attack.
The point to be taken here is that God is the source of spiritual revelation. Elisha was secure through his prayers and petitions to God. In Devil May Cry witchcraft is the source of spiritual revelation time and time again. Even for the good guys. And thus evil is called good and darkness is called light.
Foreshadow Of The Antichrist?
Dante has much more in common with the Antichrist than Jesus Christ the true Messiah.
God the Father also plays no role in the world of Devil May Cry. While there are angels mentioned, with the presumption that they are “good guys”, never once is there a mention of God, Heaven, sin, repentance or righteousness. Dante’s character is always in rebellion. He drinks, curses, fornicates, goes to strip clubs and is generally disrespectful. In fact, his main weapon, his supernatural sword, is named “Rebellion.” But yet, he is the savior of humanity. In Scripture the Antichrist will also be viewed as the savior of the world and will blaspheme God:
And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty and two months. And he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme his name, and his tabernacle, and them that dwell in heaven. – Revelation 13:5-6.
The Antichrist, like Dante will also have supernatural powers:
Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God…. And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming: Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders.. – 2 Thessalonians 2:3-12.
The Antichrist will literally perform supernatural feats before humanity. And his cohort, the False Prophet will perform miracles as well in order to move the world to worship the Antichrist as a god. This “strong delusion” will be one of the greatest deceptions the world has ever suffered. And the seeds of that deception or the “mystery of iniquity” is already at work. In 1 John, the Bible identifies the spirit of antichrist:
Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time. They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us. Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son. – 1 John 2:18-22.
DmC denies Jesus Christ and places a Nephilim as the Savior. It promotes what God calls an abomination as good. And it twists the Bible’s words for its own purposes. As society moves farther from God, the church and the Holy Bible, it becomes easier to be lured into games such as Devil May Cry as “just entertainment” or “fun for the children.” But rather than just being simple challenges, video games today have become cinematic, with hours of scenes, dialogue and philosophies being taught in them. Here are a few other examples of games which promote the occult and sinful rebellion:
“And there appeared another wonder in heaven; and behold a great red dragon..And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth..” – Revelation 12:3,9.
Dragon Age Origins: In this game God has turned his back on the world and heroes use witchcraft to return the world to paradise. There is a great deal of violence and explicit sex scenes which include homosexual relations. Occult techniques in the game include ” blood magic” in which players can sacrifice children, use blood for potions, have intimate relations with witches and even demons in exchange for the souls of others.
In Dante’s Inferno you get to kill “unbaptized babies.”
Dante’s Inferno: Another game named after the The Divine Comedy, the protagonist in this game goes into hell in order to resurrect his dead wife. It includes witchcraft, brutal violence, demons and scenes where the hero fights and kills “unbaptized babies.” One of the final missions features Satan in full frontal nudity.
In SMT Nocturne, God is called “the true enemy.”
Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne: In this game, the hero is a high school boy who survives the apocalypse and awakens transformed into a part-demon, part-human hybrid. His newfound powers and abilities were bestowed by Satan. He uses parasites to summon demonic power in order to fight his missions. Gameplayers are required to negotiate with demonic forces in order to fight battles. Lucifer is portrayed as a friendly, benevolent angel who can be your ally, while Yahweh, the God of the Bible is a “vain, dictator” who has no compassion and is referred to as “the true enemy.” In one of the prequels, the hero’s mission is to hunt down and kill the archangels Michael and Garbiel, both righteous, holy angels in the Bible. In Nocturne the goal is to recreate the world in one where God no longer rules and all people are led by “reason.”
Additionally, in Europe, this game is entitled: Shin Megami Tensei: Lucifer’s Call.
The Bible says Satan will use “any means” to deceive humanity. And pop culture has been one of the most popular means to introduce satanic ideas, the occult and rebellion against God into the minds and hearts of society. And it is not just movies, television and music. But video games as well. Do not be deceived. If you are a Christian and you play these types of games, it is time to repent. If you are not a Christian it should be clear now that there is an extensive effort to indoctrinate the gaming community into the occult. The closer you are to sin is the farther you are from God. Instead of putting faith in video games, believe the Gospel and know that eternal life and forgiveness of sins can be found in the true Messiah Jesus Christ. Your eternal fate is definitely not a game.

and any time a “person” is “going to hell to save” someone, that is witchcraft/occult. how else can a “person” get into “hell”, a spiritual realm, while being alive and trying to save someone, if they are not dabbling with witchcraft/occult practices?

If you have played the game like I did, you would understand it’s no witch craft. The way you said it and Beginning and End said it is completely false! Play the game first before inputting your ‘opinion’.
People like you need to stop clinging on to Beginning and End’s articles like it’s THE TRUTH.
The kind of articles they publish are good but then again they are talking OUT of opinion without first hand experiencing something.

1) Dante’s Inferno:
I will simply go by the facts of the game, Dante’s Inferno:
So we clearly have magic/witchcraft in the game. Using magic, charms and accessing the spirit realm are clear sinful abominations in the Bible. Exodus 22:18 says: “Thou shalt not suffer a witch to live.” Leviticus 19:31 says: Regard not them that have familiar spirits, neither seek after wizards, to be defiled by them: I am the Lord your God.
In addition Deuteronomy 18 lists necromancy as a sinful abomination. And the entire game is premised on necromancy as Dante is attempting to contact his dead wife (who he speaks to in the opening of the game).
Common sense media, in its review of the game’s violence said:
The game has beheadings, dismemberment, enemies being split in half and blood spewing all over the place. So when the article said the game has “brutal violence”, it is not an exaggeration or sensationalism. So I believe you are incorrect in claiming it to be so.
2) Dragon Age Origins – I find it very interesting that your initial challenge to me was that if I have not played a game, I should not comment or critique it. Yet you are commenting on Dragon Age Origins without playing it. Just because you did not find any reference to child sacrifice in your search engine query does not discredit the statement. Have you played the game through its entirety? Sacrificing humans is a part of the bargaining process in the game and there are options that involve children. For example, the child named Connor. Dragon’s Age gives you the option of kill/no kill sacrifice/no sacrifice (for magic strength). These “moral decisions” in the game are up to the player but you certainly have the option to kill the child to help you in your mission.
So again, no sensationalism.

In terms of Game making or Game Design. You need to keep adding ‘features’ to games or else they will be boring and cliche. So the more features a game has the better and deeper the gameplay is. Also why didn’t you say the player has a choice to use Light powers and Dark (hell) Powers? The game has lots of moral choices players can make. I forgot one other thing – here is a link to a video interview with the Game Programmers and Developers of Dante’s Inferno in which they describe the intense violence in the game and brag about limbs being cut off and heads being cut off all through the game. They also go into detail discussing the various ways you can impale and kill your enemies (and they mention magic). All the while there are clips from the game of the kills that you can do.
So again, no sensationalism and no untruth.

A bit late to the party, I know, but I couldn’t pass this up.
I HAVE played Dante’s Inferno. I’m a 35 year old man that has seen death up close and personal, and Dante’s Inferno was so violent and filled with gore that I took it back to Gamestop. It’s a level beyond graphic. His fiance is shown nude for nearly the entire game, and you fight demons that emerge from a giant, demonic Cleopatra’s NIPPLES. Oh, and there’s a female/hermaphroditic demon enemy that attacks you with an absurdly large male phallus that is attached to it. It is NOT a game that ANY Christian should ever play, and I regret ever putting into my PS3.
SPOILER ALERT –
Dante thinks that he is going into Hell to save his deceased fiance, but the truth of it is that it is Dante who is dead and condemned to Hell for his deeds during the Crusades. In the beginning, he and the other Crusaders are proactively “absolved” of any sin that they would commit while on Crusade by a Catholic Bishop, and so Dante takes his “absolution from sin” with a smile and an evil, evil heart. The game ends with Dante escaping Hell, entering into “Purgatory”, and with Satan having been inadvertently freed from chains by Dante’s actions. It’s not really even made clear if his father and fiance are actually dead, or if that’s just what Satan used to get Dante to free him from the last level of Hell. Hell, of course, is based pretty much exactly on Dante’s rendition of Hell in The Divine Comedy – and it’s horrific. Still, probably very tame to what the Lake of Fire has in store for all of those cast into it after the Lord’s Great White Throne Judgment.
Anyway, don’t play that game. Don’t let your children play that game. There is absolutely 0% of any redeeming qualities to it. And sorry, kid, but Dante can’t use his woman’s cross to absolve sinners and free them from Hell, and that’s exactly what he does in the game. If you’re in Hades, you stay there until you are thrown into the Lake of Fire – there’s no getting out.

One concern I wish to raise is with this sentence, “The Lord regretted ever creating man in the first place”. If God regretted anything it implies that he doesn’t know the future and therefore made a ‘bad call’ and needed a “do-over.” This would be a critical break in traditional Christian theology as God as omnipotent, omnipresent and omniscient. Additionally, this is a very subjective sentence since there is no way to biblically support that statement. We do know God gave Noah and the people ~100 years of warning, so at a minimum, there was a well thought-out counter to Satan’s gene pool tainting plan.

The Hebrew word for “repented” is nacham, and it means to “to be sorry, console oneself, repent, regret, comfort, be comforted”. The Lord uses the very same term in the next verse:
Did God know that the sin of the angels would leave to the Nephilim invasion of humanity? Absolutely. Did He know humanity would become physically and spiritually defiled to the point of being purely evil? Yes. But that does not mean that He was not disappointed and sorry about the corrupted state of the creation. This is how it is for a parent. Many parents grieve over their child’s behavior before they even do it because they know the trouble the are going to entangle themselves in. in this instance The Lord clearly expresses sorrow over making man. And His judgment reflects it as he destroyed every person on the planet save Noah and his family. The post flood world was in essence a “do-over” because all of humanity except the one family that was led by a righteous, fully human man was spared to repopulate it.
You make an excellent point regarding The Lord providing time for humanity to repent. Noah we know from Scripture was a “preacher”, so he was sharing the message of salvation with the rebellious world. But the Nephilim incursion had overrun the planet and humanity was plunged so deep into sin that the flood judgment came with no repentance on the part of the reporbate, hybrid populace. None of this challenges God’s omniscience. God does not make mistakes – we do. But all of our decisions, good or bad will ultimately work to God’s ultimate plan. It’s just a matter of whether we humbly submit to His will and believe in Him or stand off in sinful rebellion. In this instance, wiping out the population was the only way to preserve the lineage that would lead to the Messiah, Jesus Christ. A fully human Savior would be necessary to redeem humanity and the Nephilim incursion threatened the gene pool of all of humanity. So the flood was necessary but done clearly with some sorrow.
God is not willing that any should perish, but we know that many have and will perish in their sins. This does not limit God’s power. It just gives proof of man’s folly in thinking we can achieve salvation or peace or “true happiness” by rejecting God’s free offer of salvation and “doing our own thing”. As the Nephilim series will show, we all our responsible for our choices and God judges them accordingly and in righteousness. I hope that helps explain my perspective. This comes from someone who has been through being addicted to video games. Especially the Devil May Cry, Silent Hill, Resident Evil, and God of War series. My addiction was such that I would throw out my games because of conviction, then buy them back, mostly because of my love of the soundtracks. It has been a constant struggle to keep away from them, I lie not.
The games and music are by design. Even looking at the DMC series, I played all of them except DMC4 and the reboot, and even you would have to admit that none of the first three games are as blatant with its demonic imagery as the reboot. No profanity at all in the first three; the fourth one has a few words (tried playing it; didn’t like it, but I have seen others’ walkthroughs on YouTube as well as the reboot). The reboot is extremely graphic for the series, and not just because it’s made for the PS3 and X-box 360.
I could talk about all of the games listed above in detail, even Dante’s Inferno because I’ve seen the walkthroughs and read the synopses. It’s no accident that there are so many uploads of the video game music as well as walkthroughs, since the music helps give life to the games and unknowingly feeds your soul with unholy thoughts and feelings. This is by satanic design.
All I would ask of you, Xino, is that you go to the LORD in prayer and ask Him to show you if your video game playing is pleasing in His sight (1 John 3:22). Ask yourself: would you be playing Dante’s Inferno or Devil may Cry if Jesus were sitting next to you?

My son’s played DMC 1,3,4 & 5, Dantes Inferno and Dragon age. DMC 5 so far beyond the original. It’s horrible. Dantes Inferno is disgusting and grotesque. I used to be addicted to video games. One of them was World of Warcraft. That game is the most addicting game I have ever played. I literally did nothing but play that game. It was like being addicted to meth. I thought of nothing but it. When I had to be away from it, I had withdrawals. One day, I knew God was working in me, and I knew I had to let it go. I uninstalled it and never played it again. I actually cried. It hurt physically to let it go. Never play that game. It will destroy your life. It should be called World of Witchcraft! Because that’s what it is. Every game is bad, even something as simple as bejeweled. Why? Anything and I do mean anything that takes your focus off Christ is not good. If it’s not worshipping Jesus, if it’s not bringing you closer to jesus, then it’s something that is a tool used by satan to pull you away from Jesus.

To be honest, I got a good laugh out of this series. I feel that I cannot go on with this drivel and I’ll just say that all of this is garbage. You are entitled to your opinion, and I am entitled to mine. These are just games, meant for fun and distraction from daily life. Hello B&E I’d like to point out that Dante is not resurrecting his wife he is saving her soul so that she may go to heaven. Also he is not worshiping demons or practicing witchcraft he is fighting against those forces with a holy cross and a scythe. Yes he is beheading and ripping his enemies apart but he is slaying demons and wizards not inoccent people. As you descend into hell there is a guide called the poet Virgil he explains how these sins offend god and why they are unholy he even quotes passages from the bible. The main character Dante is guilty of almost all the sins in hell and as you reach each sin or level he is reminded of the sins he commited which he repents for after the memory. I’d also like to point out he is in fact dead which you find out at the end of the game. Its also based on the crusades in which a pope absolved all of the crusaders sins so they could kill and sin at will the game demonizes this as that is why Dante is in hell and is trying to save his soul which he doesn’t realize and that of his wife. To blatantly say that this game is bad and is the work of the devil for its imagery is with all due respect close minded and a bit ignorant. Its like saying your page is bad because of all them imagery you show. Its how you choose to view it or use it, your page shows a lot of satanic imagery but its to inform us of how satan is trying to lure us in its for the good of the masses. And that’s how I view Dantes inferno as informative it let’s me know that if I sin its an offense in the eyes of god and I will go to hell for it. I also view it as a metaphor just as Dante struggles with satans temptation to reach salvation that is also how we struggle every day because after all like it says in the bible satan rules this world but if we have faith in god we will be saved just like dante had faith he was saved.

Thanks for your comments. The difference between Psalm 14 and Matthew 5 is that Psalm Matthew 5 is referring to calling someone a fool out anger and hatred for them. It is speaking to one’s state of mind when calling another that name. Psalm 14 is stating a principle – that one would be a fool to say there is no God. If I said ” you’d have to be a fool to say there is no sun in the sky” that is not necessarily a statement of hate. It is emphasizing how obvious it is that the sun exists. That is what Psalm 14 is saying. So they are two very different statements.
As for “religious freedom” where is anyone advocating against it? I have every right, by exercising my free speech to advocate for Christianity and encourage others to believe in it. Nowhere am I advocating restricting anyone’s freedom not to believe in other faiths.Nor am I regulating anyone’s life. In any way, shape, form or fashion. So there is nothing fascist in exercising one’s freedoms. Just as you have the freedom to respond in disagreement. We welcome contrary views on this site so again, I do not see the intolerance, bigotry or discrimination.
Now I do see some regulation of life when it comes to GOD. And that is one of the principle reasons people choose to deny Him: because we don’t like to be told what to do or believe that we are going to be judged one day for how we lived and every single action and choice we have made with moral implications. That is a very frightening prospect and I understand why it’s so repulsive to people. Because that is our nature. I once lived my life with the same opposition to God’s “regulations.” But soon the truth hit me – God is indeed real, will indeed judge me, and I absolutely GUILTY by my own choices and willful actions. It’s very easy to say “Christians think they’re better!!” but the Bible says the exact opposite. Christianity is the only religion in the world that says “you’re NOT good.” It informs that we are filthy, rotten, God-hating sinners who have chosen to reject God, and His Goodness and violated His Holy laws thousands of times in our lives. That is Christianity. But Romans 5:8 says:
I am not better than you. I am just better off. Why? because I have recognized my sin and understood that God, in His love for all of us, provided a means by which we can be forgiven – sending Jesus Christ to die on the cross and take our punishment in our place. This is the message of the Bible. It is about reconciling sinful children back into the family of God. Why would God do this? Because He loves us.
So I am on no high horse. I am a sinner. I was guilty before God and was marked for death. but because of Jesus Christ and His sacrifice for me, I am now forgiven. Not through any “greatness” of my own. And what this site is trying to do is share that message with others so that you can have eternal life and forgiveness as well.
So rather than try to poke holes in the Bible, why not give God a chance and get to know Him with an open heart and mind? My hope and prayer is that you do.

You clearly emphasis the fact that Jesus was all 100 percent human… yea that works import that Jesus was born from a man and a woman. Only Mary was used in the conception if Jesus Christ and through the supernatural power of God, was Jesus born. So if the hint spirit (aka the spirit of God present on earth) “overshadowed” Mary that would make Jesus the result of a human/spiritual conception aka a nephilim. Not 100 human. Thanks for your comments. Jesus Christ was fully man AND fully God. Colossians 2:9 says: “For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.” So everything that is a part of God the Father and the Holy Spirit is in Jesus. Hence Him being able to raise the dead, read people’s minds and forgive sins. Yet on the other hand, The Lord Jesus Christ hungered. He got tired. He slept. He felt pain. He cried. He prayed to the Father. And He died.
And yet…He rose from the dead. His fully Divine and fully Human nature are apparent all through Scripture. Jesus at one point chose to reveal His glorified, Spirit realm appearance to a select group of disciples and then returned to His “normal” human appearance. For theologians, this concept is called Hypostatic Union.

Personally I’m a devout Christian and work in ministry. I’ve played Devil May Cry 5 and although there is a lot of occult and illuminati imagery it is clear that it is all from the negative side and Dante does what he can to destroy demons and bring humans out of oppression. Yes he has the “devil trigger” mode but it’s because he has the blood of both angel and demon and he uses all the powers he has for good and not evil. I felt no conviction whatsoever playing the game because it just sat well with my spirit. Not all games sit well with me but this one did and I’ve played it without being influenced negatively. I understand some people are more sensitive than others but not everyone is going to react the same. I could have done without the foul language but overall I think it was a good portrayal of how the demons in the spirit realm work behind the scenes to oppress humanity. All in all, when I have a bad day I play the game so I can kill demons. To each his own.
If someone remade the game including God and using Holy Spirit powers it would be a big hit. This should be a stepping stone into getting Christian-based games out there into the secular world.

This is a personal question for you and if you don’t feel comfortable responding to it then I will understand, do you take the stance that video games are all evil in general and that there is no merit whatsoever in playing them? 2. Now this is the really big one that I would like to know above all-Nephilim you claim are the result of fallen angels(for they would have to be fallen/or immediately have been considered fallen if they consciously chose to violate God’s will for mankind)mating with women and I know immediately the first thing you most likely are thinking is it’s not what “you” think it’s what the Bible says- Okay, I know this question is a moot point and an unnecessary question to ask seeing as you have referenced them more than once-so why did I ask?? I wanted to know the Bible text you would reference as an answer-now if you refer to texts in Genesis where it discusses the “sons of God” saw the daughters of men” etc…may I offer an alternate interpretation of this verse? Because if we believe that the reason God destroyed the antediluvians(pre-flood mankind) on the premise that our bloodlines had all been defiled by the unholy union of man’s blood and that of angels(fallen angels) but then later on in the bible in the new testament long after the flood we see talk of the “nephilim” as well as the “sons” of God, and then again we apply the principle that supposedly God set forth (but evidently didn’t accomplish) with the first flood, that he did it to wipe out this unholy bloodline-then what’s to stop Satan into tricking mankind in the end into fooling devout believers such as yourself (from what I gathered) into taking up an unholy crusade against this proposed “unholy” bloodline? I for one propose that God accomplished everything he set out to with the flood just as he intended, I also propose that the flood was not wiping out an unholy union of mixed blood between angel and man but rather wiping out the evil of superior minded man, the close descendants of Adam and Eve who all could use more of their mind, were taller, lived longer etc….imagine applying that recipe to mankind now-more brains and longer life spans?? We would have already wiped ourselves out by now, look how close we are nowadays with the brains allotted to us-it’s said we use 13% of the brain power that’s actually available, while Adam and Eve and their direct descendants used just about 100% if not 100%- so bottom line I think it’s a very dangerous notion to base such a belief such as the Nephilim (mixed angel/man) without studying it completely and prayerfully- I pray that God blesses every last person who has sent messages on this site and that they all receive a full measure of his unending grace and love-myself included.

The whole DMC franchise is ABOUT demons and angels, and the battle of good and evil. And if you’d PLAYED or done any TRUE research on it- you’d realize just how painstakingly pathetically written this article is. Eva is an angel who is mother to both Dante and Vergil (and mind you, this is a reboot of an old game made in Japan where most of the central plots and themes made very little sense, but in that anime-Japanese style offered various uniquely styled characters as a substitute for frankly, quite terrible writing. Also EVERY SINGLE GAME and even an anime show featured Dante CONSTANTLY DEFENDING humanity and explaining to the evil demonic villains that their problem (and the reason they will always be defeated is because they’d given up their humanity.) And Sparda, their demon father, was a demon who fell in love with Eva and actually REVOLTED against HELL and all of it’s demons to be with and protect Eva. And Vergil who sort of turns to his demonic side is DEFEATED by Dante in the game in order to PROTECT HUMANITY. And the game shows everywhere where demons are using subliminal messages (quite literally, as Dante gets caught between their astral plane and his ‘real one’ and it’s literally WRITTEN beneath seemingly innocent posters) to control and turn the unsuspecting public (via mundus, the guy with the extra eye on his head, the one that actually is reminiscent of the illuminati)
Reading this article, and most of them makes very few good points and uses so many poor examples to make their statements you demean your own credibility to have people listen to you. Like seriously- a checkerboard floor, THAT’S what makes it satanic? You know I played chess once or twice, am I now condemned? If I find in the bible where a checkerboard floor or any of those games ARE satanic in nature, I’ll gladly give them up and look to god for help with them, but because the interior décor choice of one misled group of humanity was a black and white floor pattern, I’m failing to see how that in any way makes the FLOOR PATTERN satanic. I see where everyone is getting mad about the evils of game’s yes they do have decison’s on how you go through them im a christian and i play some of these games yes its true they have bad means to them but when i play a game like this and or dante’s inferno and DAO the only thing about the games are that i try to play good yes there is magic and it is bad but i mean i dont think its going aganist god now i have heard this i forgot what its called but you have to Kill god in it and i think thats were it over does it .I mean we all could be better christians yes but with me i am a christian and a follower of god not no other gods and or godess’es yes i have played god of war and yes it has fake god’s and godesses but its just a game and yes dragon age has bad things in it but not as bad as killing god in a game and they summon demons in that game also i mean there are some messed up things out there in the world you just got to see whats still good in the world that just me though but i mean they are all good games and no im not saying that evil is good and good is evil im just saying its a story its not nothing against anything i mean we all have different things in mind yes that what makes us all different.
I feel bad for all of you haha. Wow…I grew up extremely sheltered in a home that did nothing but shove “the word of God” down my throat. Needless to say that it caused me to leave my church and actually think for myself instead of listen to people repeat things from a book that is supposedly thousands of years old and is still believed as a credited history.
I used to get in trouble for the smallest things in video games. If it had a smidgen of blood in the game or had anything that my parents didn’t like it would be ripped from my possession and abruptly destroyed. Now what do you think that does to a child? You think you may be helping them but acting in such a foolish manner you will probably traumatize the little guy. You need to act like an adult and actually think about what things do to people for yourself instead of only thinking things happen exactly the way people tell you they happen. Which you kind of do to a point because you believe in the Illuminati and all that jazz. I may not fully believe in it myself but that shows you do know how to think for yourself….to a point. It’s when your grasping at straws to show the “all seeing eyes” in the pictures on the wall in DmC. I about died laughing. Along with the “checkered floor.” Some people just like checkered flooring…it kinda looks nice. Plus checkered flooring is easy to do in a 3D program because we actually have to use checkers to line up UV Maps.
The last thing is just calm the heck down. Sure a game like DmC isn’t very “Christian,” but neither are Christians really. Even Ghandi once said, “I love your Jesus Christ, but I don’t like your Christians very much.” Coming from one of the most peaceful men in existence. And yeah Bayonetta is a witch, and yeah you aren’t supposed to do witchcraft and yada yada. Just because you are using a character in a video game that has these “supernatural” powers doesn’t mean you are actually promoting or using these things for real. Entertainment has to be vary bland and boring for you guys if you just want straight up facts. I mean you probably can’t watch the simplest of children’s television. I’m pretty sure you would construed Whinnie the Pooh to be evil just because they are animated stuffed animals and talking animals. It’s like I was reading a silly book by a Christian author that was about Satanism. It was so bad it was worth the read to just see how terrible the next bit would be. He was talking about how Dungeons & Dragons is evil because you fight mythical beings (i.e. – dragons, goblins, dragonborn, etc…) and you can use “black” magic. People would say, “but I use a lawful good character that is a priest. Is that still bad?” Ok…if you have to ask if something is corrupting you or is bad for you…then you really need to rethink your life. I’m scarred for adults who can’t make their own decisions.

Oh, and Shin Megami Tensei is a dark game, yes. They all are. The actual plot though is different than how you put it exactly. But that’s fine. I mean you have just taken the bad and shoved in people’s faces…even though there are options in the game to where you can get the world to go back the way it was before…with “your” God and all.

It’s interesting reading reviews like these and how people have different point of views. I completely disagree with the review. Video games are just games. Same with movies and books. Its all entertainment. I feel bad for people that have so overly judgmental views based on religion. I don’t think the world can ever truly progress towards a totally equal and prejudice free future with this type of mentality. 🙁
Whether games are evil, whether games are not, whether rock music is evil or not, things like this have been in debate since they were created, I have seen a lot on this one page alone that heavily argue both sides, of many arguments, but in reality it truly comes down to one’s on beliefs for example.
I am a christian, christened, baptized, born again and was for many years an avid church goer, rising early each and every Sunday as I felt the desire to do so, my best friend had saved me from a road that would have ultimately lead to suicide if I had stayed upon it. Now, while I no longer rise every Sunday to go to the church to sit in a pew to listen to an ordained man speak of the Lord Jesus Christ, does that make me less of a Christian? Does it make me any less of a believer in God? No, This has a very simple explanation as well. Before I give that however let me ask this question. Would you walk up to an Israelite, a Buddhist, or a Jehovah’s Witness and tell them that their religion is wrong, that they are going to go to hell because of how they believe?
The greatest gift humanity has is free will. just as no two snow flakes are identical, so too are no two humans. even “Identical Twins” have their physical differences. Now I am not saying anyone is wrong or anyone is right, what I AM saying though is this. Just as no snowflake is the same as another, no two ways of worshiping are the same, even those who gather in church together do not worship the same way. Some will simply bow their head in prayer, some will climb down to their knees, and others still will bow to the ground.
My point I am getting at here is simply this, it is a given that games such as Devil May Cry or Dragon Age, or even the former hot button game Mortal Kombat, clearly do not promote things we should aspire to do in life, or the way we should view the world, What they DO do however, is express the opinions, or quite possibly the fanciful, albeit strange, outlooks of their creators. Yes while seeing Dante enter his devil trigger state or even Sub Zero ripping of Sonya’s head clearly have negative impacts on the world around us and those who view them, some things are just there for fun, most games offer the internal settings to filter out the more graphic material contained within it, or used to at any rate, for younger audiences.
It all just comes down to what you yourself believe, if you believe its ok to run outside, and pummel someone and then end their life, yes there is clearly something that needs to be examined, but you don’t see everyone running out the door to do it either. Everyone has their own belief, everyone has their own opinions, and way they worship. I personally believe that Science confirms God’s existence. Think for a moment that the Big Bang Theory, not the comedy show, is in fact true, Science, more specifically Newton stated bodies at rest tend to stay at rest until an outside force acts upon it, wouldn’t that entail that if the big bang created life, that someone or something had to cause it?
Ultimately everything comes down to who you are, how you perceive things, and what you believe. These are the guiding factors of day to day life. While these may be influenced by stimulants like video games books movies or even regular television, they do not force you to think along their lines, if you have your own view of life.
No doubt in my mind, christians, will be the destruction of our world…
Your opinion, and you certainly are welcome to it, personally I believe, and no this is not a church or religious based remark, that truly when it comes right down to it, if you aren’t happy how you are living your life, or what’s happening around you, it is your duty to yourself to strive to make a difference to change things up.

Even use to call myself a Christian back when i actively went to church, but after being discriminated against by no less then 3 different churches and having any thought of intellectual discussion about concepts or theories that don’t fall into these peoples narrow world view i decided i had had enough of religion, and have since come to realize that the idea of some entity watching over us with any sort of plan or care is just ridiculous.

To speak on the dantes inferno game dante doesn’t realize till the end that he was dead the whole time and the ribbons that cover his body are his sins and as the game progresses he must face each sin he has committed especially the ones against his wife. After he defeates satan he then heads to purgatory but of course satan just appears defeated but the gamer sees a snake slithering away. The game is very different from the book and I hope they take dantes other two books purgatory and paradise (heaven) and turn them into games it would be interezting to see dante go through all the levels of heaven and finally see the big g.o.d. and see if his soul can be saved

I have never been to this sight before, but had done a internet earch for “are all video game creators/makers satanic” because of the subtle satanic/occult undertones that are in most of the games.
Now games, like the one referenced in this article, are in line with biblical prophecy (anti christ savior), but of course 99% of the people playing these games have no idea.
I have spent years researching and learning about the “truth” of our reality, and bible prophecy. As someone who grew up as a skeptical Christian and who abandoned Christianity for a long time, while living an empty life, I totally understand the resentment and misunderstanding that some people have for Christians. That being said I am a Christian…in the mere Christianity sense, like C.S Lewis refers to.
However The Holy Bible is so much more than what is taught at church.

Hello i have to say i understand your point and in fact it may affect people. However we have to learn how to not fall into everything we see, i play these game and for me i don’t really care the subliminal messages that are there it is just for entairtainment and i do not need to take the game’s story as THE TRUTH because we all know that THE LORD’S BIBLE IS THE TRUTH.
For me it is just a game where i kill and destroy and sometimes humiliate some demons and it feels good, the story may have some bad messages but in the end of the day it is just a story not to be taken as THE TRUTH of our Reality because THE TRUTH comes from the word of THE LORD.
However some people do get very into the story and may fall into some satanic traps so we should be carefull in a way into we play these games but not take them as REALITY or do what some of the Characters do which sometimes can be dificult.
