Is this movie’s title a subtle allusion to the film ‘Lucifer Rising’?
In February 2015, Jupiter Ascending, the latest film from the Wachowski siblings will hit theaters. In the spirit of their past films, such as the Matrix trilogy and V for Vendetta, the movie, about a young woman who discovers she is the genetic descendant of space aliens and destined to rule the Earth, promotes a host of Illuminati philosophies such as transhumanism, ancient astronaut theory and the singularity. But at its core it embodies the age old satanic deception of humanity becoming gods.

Unknown to Earth’s residents, life on Earth and countless other planets has been seeded, by families of alien royalty for the purpose of harvesting the evolved living creatures once they reach a “Darwinian state of perfection” to produce a type of youth serum youth serum that allows them to live forever. When the matriarch of the House of Abrasax, the most powerful of the alien dynasties, dies her children Balem, Kalique, and Titus are at war over the inheritance. Eventually a new heir comes to their attention: Jupiter Jones (Mila Kunis), an unsuspecting, Earth-living, unlucky caretaker of other people’s homes. Jupiter encounters Caine Wise, a genetically engineered interplanetary warrior, who came to Earth to reveal that her genetic signature makes Jones royalty and heir to Earth. Meanwhile, he has to protect her from Balem, who put a bounty on her head and would rather harvest Earth than lose it to Jones. (source).
The royal family bathes in serum extracted from dead human beings in order to achieve “immortality.”
The three royal siblings seed planets – planting primitive species that evolve into humans while working various trades to help the royal family until they are fully evolved and their planet is overpopulated. At the point, the subject planet is “ripe for harvest” – meaning the Abrasax family then kills and melts all of the humans on that particular planet to make a serum from their DNA called “ReGenX-E” that allows them to remain immortal for millennia. All the while humanity has no idea that they were “seeded” or that aliens even exist. In the film, Earth is scheduled for a harvest but it is discovered that Jupiter Jones, the film’s star, is actually a descendant of the House of Abrasax and true heir to the planet Earth.

Caine Wise (played by Channing Tatum), is a human-animal hybrid soldier who defects from the Abrasax empire and rescues Jupiter Jones from death in order that she can claim her rightful place as heir of Earth and Queen of the universe.
From the onset, the movie pushes a number of science-fiction and philosophical concepts that run contrary to Biblical Christianity.
The Ancient Astronaut Theory – The Alien Gospel
In Jupiter Ascending, all human life was created by aliens on the planet ‘Orus’.
“We’ve been taught the birthplace of the human race is Earth, but it’s not.”
“Do you know what this will do to people when they find out the truth?”
“I don’t think that most people would want to know the truth.”“I do.”
“Your planet was seeded by Abrasax Industries roughly 100,000 years ago.” – Conversation between Stinger Aphini and Jupiter Jones. Jupiter Ascending.
The Ancient Astronaut theory is a concept that states that rather being the creation of God or the byproduct of the Big Bang, humanity was created or “seeded” by an ancient alien race from outer space. These advanced beings used their technology to create an inferior race – humanity, for purposes of study, experimentation and a whole host of other purposes. Francis Crick, the Nobel Laureate, who along with Watson created the illustration of DNA, hypothesized that human DNA was so complex it could not have naturally “evolved” from primordial sludge or some other Darwinian explanation. Instead Crick hypothesized that “directed panspermia” as the origin of the human race:
“It now seems unlikely that extraterrestrial living organisms could have reached the earth either as spores driven by the radiation pressure from another star or as living organisms imbedded in a meteorite. As an alternative to these nineteenth-century mechanisms, we have considered Directed Panspermia, the theory that organisms were deliberately transmitted to the earth by intelligent beings on another planet. We conclude that it is possible that life reached the earth in this way, but that the scientific evidence is inadequate at the present time to say anything about the probability. We draw attention to the kinds of evidence that might throw additional light on the topic.” – Francis Crick (source).
Outspoken atheist Richard Dawkins has also adopted the directed panspermia theory to explain life on Earth. This notion of course is in direct contradiction to the Bible. The Word of God is quite clear from the first chapter that The Lord created Earth and created humanity right on the Earth itself:
In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth…..And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth. – Genesis 1:1, 26-28.
The Ancient Astronaut Theory or Alien Gospel was also promoted in the movie Prometheus, a science-fiction thriller that also carries anti-Christian and satanic undertones (for more on this film see our article: “The Prometheus Film: The Alien Gospel Deception”). Additionally, TV programs like the History Channel’s Ancient Aliens series has gone out of its way to attribute every supernatural occurrence or religious idea to “alien ancestors” who seeded the human race.
Transhumanism
In the film, being solely human is a thing of the past.

The world truly stands at the cusp of the age of genetic manipulation.In our article on the Singularity, Beginning and End detailed the many scientists, academics and business leaders dedicated to the transhumanism – the “evolution” of humanity. Whether its developing technology that enables a person to download their consciousness into a computer or augmenting one’s DNA to develop the traits of an animal, many scientists and great thinkers are working today to bring these ideas to reality. And there is one main goal behind this movement: immortality. Ray Kurzweil, the outspoken “father” of the Singularity movement, head of engineering at Google has stated clearly that his goal is to never die via technology.
Man’s drive for immortality apart from God was first inspired back in the Garden of Eden:
Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden? And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden: But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die. And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die: For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil. – Genesis 3:1-5.
Kalique Abrasax boasts about her youthful skin despite being over 14,000 years old.
In the futuristic world of Jupiter Ascending, mastery of genetic splicing and alteration has been achieved. The Abrasax dynasty can live for thousands of years thanks to their technological achievements.They relish in immortality (their name is even an alternate spelling of Abraxas, the name of the ultimate god in gnosticism). Balem Abrasax, the villain of the film, opines that time is the greatest commodity in the universe. Just as the serpent promised, the Abrasax alien siblings have become “as gods.” They create planets of humans all over the universe. They can manipulate world events and then erase the memories of humans so no one knows they were even there. At certain times in the history of a particular planet, they will provide technology to help “evolve” those humans.
Caine Wright and Stinger Aphini, the heroic warriors who assist Jupiter Jones in her quest to save Earth, are both animal-human hybrids. Caine is part-human, part-wolf and Stinger is part-human, part-bee. Their hybridized genes give them physical and mental acuity well beyond that of a human being (in the movie both hybrid characters had wings which were forcibly removed – a point that will be discussed in more detail below). In Scripture, Satan originated genetic manipulation via the Nephilim, super-powerful giants, who were the offspring of evil fallen angels and human women.
Stinger, a human spliced with the DNA of a bee, explains to Jupiter that she is alien royalty.
After the fall into sin of Adam and Eve in Genesis chapter 3, The Lord pronounced a judgment upon the husband and wife, while also banishing them from the Garden of Eden. God also announced a punishment to Satan that would hold profound implications for the entire course of human history:
And the LORD God said unto the serpent, Because thou hast done this, thou art cursed above all cattle, and above every beast of the field; upon thy belly shalt thou go, and dust shalt thou eat all the days of thy life: And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel. – Genesis 3:14-15.
The “seed of the woman” was a proclamation that the Savior of humanity would be a human male. As opposed to God Himself or a mighty angel vanquishing Satan, it would be a child who would one day grow into a man that would defeat the Devil. This put Satan on notice as to where his enemy would come from. And thus the temptation of fallen angels to fornicate with human women resulted in hybrid giants who not only corrupted the human gene pool but overran the preflood world with violence and sin:
And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them, That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose. And the LORD said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years. There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown. And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. And it repented the LORD that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart. – Genesis 6:1-6.
The invasion of fallen angels into the human realm corrupted man to the point that almost every person on the planet was consumed with evil. God was dismayed at the state of His creation that the flood judgment was pronounced:
And God looked upon the earth, and, behold, it was corrupt; for all flesh had corrupted his way upon the earth. And God said unto Noah, The end of all flesh is come before me; for the earth is filled with violence through them; and, behold, I will destroy them with the earth. – Genesis 6:12-13.
Humanity was spiritually and genetically corrupted resulting in a world full of sinful rebellion. From the text it appears even animals were being corrupted by the genetic infiltration of the fallen angels. The flood served as a means to destroy the Nephilim hybrids, punish their angelic fathers and allow the human race to restart through the lineage of Noah, a man who was “perfect in his generations” or 100% human. In Jupiter Ascending, blending human and animals is the norm of the future.
Even today, the push to augment human DNA with that of animals is already gaining momentum. A science lab in the United Kingdom has already announced that it has made 155 human-animal hybrids. While other science teams have created children with DNA from three parents or mastered the art of creating “designer babies” where a parent can pre-select certain features and attributes for their child.
This meddling with human DNA is also against God’s law. When The Lord created life on Earth it was done according to its genetic “kind”:
And God said, Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed is in itself, upon the earth: and it was so. And the earth brought forth grass, and herb yielding seed after his kind, and the tree yielding fruit, whose seed was in itself, after his kind: and God saw that it was good. – Genesis 1:11-12.
And God said, Let the earth bring forth the living creature after his kind, cattle, and creeping thing, and beast of the earth after his kind: and it was so. And God made the beast of the earth after his kind, and cattle after their kind, and every thing that creepeth upon the earth after his kind: and God saw that it was good. – Genesis 1:24-25.

Animals, plants and humans were created to reproduce within their own groups. The “splicing” and hybridizing of creatures was an initiative of Satan and the fallen angels.
The purpose of the Nephilim were to serve as a corruption of the human gene pool in the hopes that the Messiah who would one day be born of a woman. In Jupiter Ascending, genetic hybrids or “splices” are commonplace. And intimate relations between the “sons of god”/aliens and humans are the norm as Jupiter quickly falls in love with Caine who states that he is “more dog than human.” Additionally Titus Abrasax, who is the son of Jupiter in the film, attempts to seduce and marry her.
The Return of the Gods And The Search For The Antichrist
In the film, the murdered Empress Seraphi is worshiped as a goddess.
In the world of Jupiter Ascending, the entire human race has no idea that there are alien races living in the universe with far more advanced technology and posterity. But with the discovery of Jupiter Jones, all that is going to change as the aliens are going to begin to reveal themselves to humanity. The “return of the gods” or angelic beings is what is described in Revelation chapter 12:
And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels, And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven. And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him. Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhibiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time. – Revelation 12:7-9, 12.
During the Great tribulation, the final years on Earth before the Second Coming of Christ, the Devil (who at present has access to Heaven and can even have direct conversation with God), and his rebel angels (who comprise 1/3 of the angelic population) will lose a battle to the righteous angels of the Lord and be case to Earth. It is at this time that any remaining “veil” of unbelief in society will end. Angelic beings will manifest openly to human beings. How will they present themselves? Will they call themselves angels from Heaven or say they are benevolent beings from another planet? Will they claim to be the truth creators of humanity? In Jupiter Ascending, the advanced alien races, specifically the House of Abrasax, who represent the angelic realm, are prepared to do the exact same thing.
The gods of Jupiter Ascending casually discuss the destruction of Earth.
In the very next chapter of Revelation, we are given the details of the Antichrist, the satanically-empowered false Messiah who rule over the entire Earth for 3/12 years before the Second Coming of Christ. The Antichrist, also referred to as “the Beast”, will be a seemingly invincible military foe who is able to win the planet over to give him rule:
And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him? And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty and two months. And he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme his name, and his tabernacle, and them that dwell in heaven. And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations. And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world. – Revelation 13:4-8.
The Antichrist will not only be the ruler of a global government, he will be deemed a god by the world. And Satan and his fallen angels will be at his side. In Jupiter Ascending, the aliens reveal themselves to humanity at the same time it is discovered that Jupiter Jones, the reincarnated version of a powerful alien Empress, is the true ruler of Earth.
Clues from the movie support the Revelation connection. On the official website for Jupiter Ascending, the Wachowskis, filmmakers who are notoriously secretive, provided background information on the website, below is the profile of one of the main characters, Kalique Abrasax:
In the film Jupiter Jones is the reincarnated Seraphi Abrasax, who here is being worshiped as a god.
Notice that Kalique’s mother, is ‘Seraphi’. In the Bible, the Seraphim are a type of angelic being:
In the year that king Uzziah died I saw also the LORD sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up, and his train filled the temple. Above it stood the seraphims: each one had six wings; with twain he covered his face, and with twain he covered his feet, and with twain he did fly. And one cried unto another, and said, Holy, holy, holy, is the LORD of hosts: the whole earth is full of his glory. – Isaiah 6:1-3.
Seraph in The Matrix Reloaded was from the divine “Machine World”.
In The Matrix movies (which made many Biblical references for Gnostix purposes), the Wachowskis also had a character named Seraph who was from the advanced, god-like “machine world” but was banished for disobedience. In essence he was a fallen angel. In the Matrix Revolutions, a character even refers to Seraph as “wingless” (implying that he is an angel who was kicked out and lost his wings – symbols of righteousness). And recall that in the Jupiter Ascending, both Caine and Stinger, Jupiter’s protectors, have had their wings removed.
The Bible’s description of the arrival of the Antichrist or ‘the Beast’ indicates that this being (or at least the spirit that will indwell him) is presently locked in the abyss – the prison for rebel angels and demons. And note how Scripture describes the Antichrist’s arrival:
And when they shall have finished their testimony, the beast that ascendeth out of the bottomless pit shall make war against them, and shall overcome them, and kill them. – Revelation 11:7.
The beast that thou sawest was, and is not; and shall ascend out of the bottomless pit, and go into perdition: and they that dwell on the earth shall wonder, whose names were not written in the book of life from the foundation of the world, when they behold the beast that was, and is not, and yet is. – Revelation 17:8.
Just like the movie’s title character, the Antichrist will be ascending out of the bottomless pit to temporarily rule the Earth.
Another theme related to the Antichrist is that of reincarnation. In the film Jupiter is informed by Kalique that she is not just an ordinary young woman. She is in fact a “recurrent” – the reincarnation of one of the most powerful aliens in the universe:
“When the exact same genes appear in the exact same order it what you call reincarnation.” – Kalique Abrasax, Jupiter Ascending.
Revelation chapter 17 details that in some form or fashion the Antichrist has lived before and will live again in the end times:
The beast that thou sawest was, and is not; and shall ascend out of the bottomless pit, and go into perdition: and they that dwell on the earth shall wonder, whose names were not written in the book of life from the foundation of the world, when they behold the beast that was, and is not, and yet is. And here is the mind which hath wisdom. The seven heads are seven mountains, on which the woman sitteth. And there are seven kings: five are fallen, and one is, and the other is not yet come; and when he cometh, he must continue a short space. And the beast that was, and is not, even he is the eighth, and is of the seven, and goeth into perdition. – Revelation 17:8-11.
This passage, while seemingly cryptic makes a very direct statement. There are seven kings through history who have foreshadowed the Antichrist. During the Apostle John’s day (ca 95 AD), five of those kings were “fallen” or dead. One “is” meaning was alive at that time John wrote Revelation, and the seventh would come in the future and “continue a short space.” And the Beast, or Antichrist, “is of the seven”, meaning that the same spirit that indwelled those kings, will inhabit the body of the Antichrist during the time of his global rule (for more on this see our article: “The Return of The Antichrist”).
In The Matrix Reloaded Neo learns he is the 7th incarnation of “The One.”
In the Matrix Reloaded, Neo, the main character, was prophesied to be The One – the prophesied savior who would free humanity from enslavement to Artificial Intelligence which had taken over the world. However by the end of the second film, Neo is informed by the Architect (a not-so-subtle reference to the god of Freemasonry), the creator of the Matrix, that the prophecy of The One was fabricated to fool humanity and Neo is in fact the seventh version of “The One”. Every 30 years or so, a new “One” is designated to deceive humanity into thinking they have a real chance of freedom but are actually under control of their machine rulers (a subtle shot at organized religion). So Neo too, like Jupiter Jones and the Antichrist is a reincarnated false Messiah.
This idea is paramount in the New Age Movement and the occult. Members of the occult often reference the “Christ Consciousness” or the idea that there was a certain power that Jesus Christ possessed, but He was merely one of many Ascended Masters or “avatars” throughout time who possessed it:
“Lola Davis tells us the New Age “Christ” resides on a different plane of consciousness from that which we experience. There he directs the Masters, “a group of advanced souls, most of them discarnate … known variously as the White Brotherhood, The Great White Lodge, the Masters of Wisdom, the Hierarchy, and the Angels around the Throne.” (Lola Davis Toward A World Religion For A New Age p.186).
According to esoteric teachings, the word ‘Christ’ is not the name of an individual, but of an office or function within the Spiritual Hierarchy of Masters. The Leader of this group is known as the Christ. This group of perfected men is also known as the Society of Illumined Minds, the Great White Brotherhood, the Masters of Wisdom and the Lords of Compassion, the Spiritual or Esoteric Hierarchy, and the Guides and Elder Brothers of Humanity. Under Their stimulus, man’s civilizations have risen, flowered, died, for hundreds of thousands of years. (source).
On the left, Helena Blavatsky, and Alice Bailey. Both promoted the idea of a “Christ consciousness” that reincarnates in certain figures throughout time.
These ideas were most notably taught by Madame H.P. Blavatsky and her disciple Alice Bailey, the founders of the modern New Age movement. To no surprise, both were Luciferian:
“One of the most hidden secrets involves the so-called fall of Angels. Satan and his rebellious host will thus prove to have become the direct Saviours and Creators of divine man. Thus Satan, once he ceases to be viewed in the superstitious spirit of the church, grows into the grandiose image. It is Satan who is the God of our planet and the only God. Satan (or Lucifer) represents the Centrifugal Energy of the Universe, this ever-living symbol of self-sacrifice for the intellectual independence of humanity. “(Madame H.P. Blavatsky, The Secret Doctrine, Volume II, Pages 215, 216, 220, 245, 255, 533). (source).
Alice Bailey’s former company.
Bailey’s most famous book, The Externalization of the Hierarchy, taught that mankind was evolved into intelligent beings by the “Hierarchy” – ascended masters or advanced spiritual beings from a mystical kingdom called Shamballa. And at the beginning of each new era of human evolution a new “Christ” avatar being comes to help humanity advance and reach new levels of initiation where select humans can ultimately achieve godhood. All of this is just a thinly veiled reference to the fallen angels who once revealed themselves to humanity and the Devil’s promise of godhood and immortality to Adam and Eve. This also lines up with the plot of Jupiter Ascending, with the House of Abrasax offering the key to immortality and Jupiter as the newest reincarnated savior to help humanity.
In the Bible it is clear that Jesus is an eternal being:
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. In him was life; and the life was the light of men. And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not. – John 1:1-5.
And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory. – 1 Timothy 3:16.
Rather than a created being who had a spirit inhabiting Him, Jesus Christ Is God in the flesh. Jesus Christ is also superior to all angels:
For unto which of the angels said he at any time, Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee? And again, I will be to him a Father, and he shall be to me a Son? And again, when he bringeth in the firstbegotten into the world, he saith, And let all the angels of God worship him. – Hebrews 1:5-6.
Jupiter Ascending or Lucifer Rising?
What is the true symbolism of Jupiter?
In the book of Revelation, the Lord Jesus Christ addresses the church of Pergamos (the same city exists today in the county of Cyrpus) and makes a starling identification:
And to the angel of the church in Pergamos write; These things saith he which hath the sharp sword with two edges; I know thy works, and where thou dwellest, even where Satan’s seat is: and thou holdest fast my name, and hast not denied my faith, even in those days wherein Antipas was my faithful martyr, who was slain among you, where Satan dwelleth. – Revelation 2:12-13.
The Pergamon altar is referred to as “Satan’s Seat” in the Bible.
“Satan’s seat” has been interpreted by many scholars to be a direct reference to the Pergamon Altar, a massive structure built in Pergamos, Greece in the 2nd Century BC as a tribute to the god Zeus. In the passage above, Jesus is identifying Zeus as Satan and the altar in Pergamos was his chief base of operation.
The Altar, which was made to resemble a throne, was built by Eumenes II, a ruler in the Seleucid empire. It is interesting to note that Eumenes II appointed Antiochus Epiphanes to rule over the Jews in Judea at that same time. Antiochus Epiphanes is infamous for the original “abomination of desolation” in which he entered the Holy Temple of Jerusalem and offered a pig as a sacrifice in honor of Zeus. This was one of the most disrespectful, satanic acts ever committed in the nation of Israel (the subsequent rescue of the temple during the Maccabean revolt and its ritual cleansing for 8 days is celebrated each year by Jewish people with the holiday of Hanukkah).
Jesus prophesied that a similar act of blasphemy against God will be performed by the Antichrist in the temple during the end times Great Tribulation. Not only will the Antichrist enter the temple of God, he will declare that he is god and demand worship from the world. The Bible says he: “Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.” (2 Thessalonians 2:4).
In mythology and the Bible Jupiter was another name for Zeus. In Acts chapter 11, the Apostles Paul and Barnabas in the company of pagan worshipers healed a man who was crippled from birth. Seeing the miracle, the stunned non-Christian crowd immediately assumed they were gods:
And when the people saw what Paul had done, they lifted up their voices, saying in the speech of Lycaonia, The gods are come down to us in the likeness of men. And they called Barnabas, Jupiter [Ζεύς in Greek or Zeus]; and Paul, Mercurius, because he was the chief speaker. – Acts:11-12-13.
Thus Jesus identified the Greek Zeus, who is the Roman Jupiter, as the Devil. And the title “Jupiter Ascending” suddenly bears a subtle similarity to “Lucifer Rising” a film directed by Kenneth Anger who was a disciple of satanist Aleister Crowley. Crowley spread his message of satanic rebellion in the early 20th century and has been one of the most influential figures on pop culure and entertainment. His famous motto: “Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the Law” embodies sinful rebellion and lust.
The Wachowskis have a connection to Crowley through their film V for Vendetta. The movie was based on a graphic novel by comic writer and magic practitioner Alan Moore, who has written comics such as The Watchmen and V for Vendetta which are full of Illuminati and satanic symbolism. Moore not only was an outspoken fan of Crowley, he also wrote a graphic novel about Robert Parsons, the investor of the jet propulsion engine, who was a magic practitioner and also a Crowley devotee.
Moore’s V for Vendetta graphic novel in particular not only quotes Crowley in several portions but mentions him by name.

In the film, V, the hero, leads a violent, terrorist-style rebellion against the fascist Christian government ruling England. In very thinly-veiled tones, the government (specifically the George W. Bush administration) is a representation of Christianity:
Theytrannical regime in the film stresses “faith” and has a logo with a cross on it.
The film portrays Christians as cruel tyrants. The Koran is banned. Homosexuals are arrested and tortured. Free speech and thought is oppressed [B&E: The irony here being that there are no Christian societies that do this and there are many Muslim-led governments that impose these exact restrictions on liberty]. The main preachers in the film are hypocrites who prey on young girls in private. All distorted stereotypes displayed on screen while the gay characters in the film are heroic and celebrated.
The Wachowskis have also cited the film 2001: A Space Odyssey as one of their greatest inspirations. The book sequel, entitled 2010: Odyssey Two, contains a chapter entitled “Lucifer Rising” and in the plot of the book the planet Jupiter is renamed Lucifer.
Promotion Of The Occult
The film was scheduled for release on a day when Jupiter is in alignment between the Earth and the sun (image from the Jupiter Ascending website).
If all this seems to be a stretch, consider what the Wachowskis have put on the film’s official website. In the “Explore The World” section there is a link to a fictional astronomical research website. The site displays an “intercepted message” from the alien Abrasax group. It is a “timer” until the harvest of Earth. The image is below:
This image bears a subtle resemblance to the Baphomet sigil used in the occult:
A close look at the above image from the Jupiter Ascending website shows that it has tiny symbols called occult sigils within the outer circle.
“In medieval ceremonial magic, the term sigil was commonly used to refer to occult signs which represented various angels and demons which the magician might summon.” (source).
Most of the sigils used in the image from the Jupiter Ascending website relate to the zodiac. Luciferian Madame H.P. Blavatsky also used some of the same sigils seen in the Jupiter Ascending image in her own emblem for the Theosophical Society:
Another page on the Jupiter Ascending website shows a world map with “evacuation points” for the day of the harvest, presumably so certain aliens can escape before the global destruction of the harvest commences.
The fictional evacuation map highlights important occult locations.
While the locations may seem random, certain locations such as Stonehenge and Karnak Luxor are the site of ancient megalithic structures. Other locations are infamous for being locations of ley lines – geographical locations on Earth where those in the occult believe special energy and spiritual forces can exist and be harnessed. “Table Mountain, which is 1085m high, is considered to harness great energy. Devil’s Tower was the location where aliens met with humanity in the science fiction classic Close Encounters Of The Third Kind and also a location of a famous ley line.

“Mutawintji and Broken Hill are on key ley lines that radiate out to the rest of Australia. They are a major nodal point of this land.” (source).
Even the film’s release date, February 6, falls on a day when the Earth is aligned between the sun and Jupiter – referred to as ‘Jupiter opposition’. Jupiter shines its brightest on this day (an event that will not occur again until 2019). Of course the Bible forbids all of these practices:

“Observing times” or following the stars and the zodiac to tell the future or plan events is a sin in Scripture along with all other occult practices. But pop culture entertainment has bombarded society with the message that the occult is cool, hip and harmless. All the while promoting the idea that we can “evolve” ourselves through our own “greatness” and eventually become immortal. Do not be deceived.
The Truth Way To Eternal Life – Jesus Christ
Faith in Jesus Christ is the only way to eternal life.

Jupiter Ascending does raise one very valid point: no matter how much wealth and power we have, humanity has no control over time. Death is inevitable for all people (though some are working feverishly to change that). The fear of one’s death and mortality is natural. Because of our sins, death entered the world. “All have sinned” and thus all people will die. But the answer to overcoming death and the grave lies with Jesus Christ. The Bible’s purposes is to point humanity to Jesus Christ. the true Savior, who came down in human flesh, lived a sinless life and gave His life on the cross as a sacrifice to take the punishment for the sins of the world.
John 3:16 says: “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.“ It was love that moved God to send His Son to die for all people. Rather than wanting to “harvest” humanity, God wants all people to repent of their sins, put their faith in Christ and receive free forgiveness. If you are not a Christian, take the time to read and learn the Gospel. The world is promoting their path to immortality constantly through the media. Learn God’s way and trust in Jesus Christ who has already conquered death and the grave so that we can truly have life for eternity.

They refer to themselves as the Wachowski Starship these days, and besides the first Matrix, and their first movie Bound, everything they have put out since has been a massively expensive mess.
I’m not sure how many passes film makers get in Hollywood these days, but I’m pretty certain that the Wachowskis well and truly trundled over that point years ago. Their films absolutely tank at the box office and yet here they are making dreadful, childish, expensive garbage, seemingly unimpeded.

I would only suggest reading with an open heart and mind. If you are taking issue with God before reading anything Christian, your eyes will remain shut to his truths just as they were to the clear passage you overlooked. You just proved in your own comment that you can be absolutely wrong in your thinking and conclusions. Now apply that same idea to your thinking and conclusions about God. If you are wrong, it means eternal damnation in the Lake of Fire. And I speak from the heart when I say I would never, ever want that for you.
The Bible says: “Draw nigh to God and He will draw nigh to you..” (James 4:8). I hope you will get to know God and His Word with an open mind before drawing any more conclusions.

I both enjoy trolling and arguing with people who have strong religious beliefs, you may call me perverted or satanic or what ever you want. 1. I agree that both Jupiter Ascending and Fifty shades of gray are NOT a movie achievement worth mentioning. I liked the first more or less only for its cgi and some partial ideas that i find both amusing and fresh, but other than that not exactly my favourite (im a star wars fan, bite me if you dont like it). As for Fifty shades of gray, i didnt even watch it, because i dont usually watch drama with pointless charachters and their personal problems, but hey thats just my opinion. And this leads me to the 2. Point.

While some of your argument seams valid. You really have no clue what some of those occult symbols mean and unless you can cross to the forbidden plane then you have no real understanding of what is or what is not. History is written in the winners eyes and while your

I mean the bible says at at least one point, “you will be like gods,” (or angels, heavenly beings, etc depending on translation). Another thing to keep in mind, if the idea of the movie is to harvest DNA to make an immortality bath, you could just do that in a lab en mass and get a much better serum using the best of the DNA over and over again. wouldn’t a bunch of clones of the same person be more beneficial than any that are below that one’s DNA? Also, even if you need a variety, wouldn’t that mean you could just do the same thing and store/copy that DNA over and over again?
The aliens portrayed in this film don’t sound all that up on their understanding of the best ways to create DNA en mass or at all.
Another thing, if reincarnation is an idea in this film as well, is it really DNA they’re after? That sounds a bit strange.
One other thing worth mentioning is that in V for Vendetta, the ruling party isn’t representative of Christianity (or if it is does it poorly), seeing as even in one of the first scenes, the patrolling government officials attempt to rape the woman who is out after curfew on her way to her friend’s house. Does the author really see that kind of thing as Christian at all? Have you ever read the novel or watched the movies even?
The leading party acts more like a USSR communist force, with limited food rationed out, curfews, continual monitoring by a less than benevolent government who continually uses human testing and is the actual creator of the protagonist V, who otherwise wouldn’t have existed and challenged the status quo regardless of the huge numbers in the population unhappy with their rule, though acting contented until they see reason for overpowering the ruling class.

I’ve just read your article and thought it was amazing. But something you wrote sparked something in my head. The part about The “seed of the woman” was a proclamation that the Savior of humanity would be a human male. So I was Christened as a child and went to Sunday school but gave up on it all. However these past few years I look at the world around me and feel it’s wrong. I guess I did like most when that happens and I’ve started to read the bible (for the first time!). It feels good to connect to the creator again. However there’s something written in there which has me thinking and asking questions. It’s said that the saviour of humanity would come from a human male. So of course I thought Jesus, who was born from the virgin Mary, a human woman. That would make Jesus son of a human. But somethings has been disturbing me massively about the term ‘came in unto’. I’ve had to constantly google what terms mean and as far as I can understand that phrase means to have sex. So when it’s written in Genesis that when Angels in the days before the flood ‘came in unto’ human women that they give birth to nephilim. That makes sense.
Genesis 6:4 (KJV) There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown.
Then again in Gensis it’s written that Judah (a man) ‘came in unto’ a Tamar a human woman and she gave birth to human.
Genesis 38:18 (KJV) And he said, What pledge shall I give thee? And she said, Thy signet, and thy bracelets, and thy staff that is in thine hand. And he gave it her, and came in unto her, and she conceived by him.
So when the Gabriel ‘came in unto’ Mary doesn’t that mean the same?
Luke 1:28 (KJV) And the angel came in unto her, and said, Hail, thou that art highly favoured, the Lord is with thee: blessed art thou among women.
So doesn’t that make Jesus a nephilim and not a seed of man?
Hi Jonathan – Thanks for your comments. Always remember that the Old testament was written in Hebrew (and a small portion in Aramaic) while the New Testament was written in Greek. So idioms like “came in unto”, which certainly refer to sexual relations in the Old Testament do not carry the same meaning in the New. The context of the book of Luke and the Gospels makes it clear that Jesus Christ was not an angel or the son of angels. But He was indeed the only begotten Son of God. I hope that clears things up.
