Pop megastar Billie Eilish has taken the music industry by storm. Although she is only 17 years old, she has already been hailed by the media as a “generational icon” With her songs already racking up billions of plays on music platforms she has been called “the most talked about teenager on the planet” with millions of obsessed fans all over the world. And just a basic look at her music reveals a dark, demonic influence that has been seen in the music and social media of many pop idols before her.
“All The Good Girls Go To Hell”? – Creating Sympathy For the Devil
“My Lucifer is lonely” – Billie Eilish, “All The Good Girls Go To Hell”
With her crossover sound that is part pop, EDM and jazz, Billie Eilishascended virtually out of nowhere to dominate the music industry. She became an overnight sensation after uploading a homemade demo song to Spotify which went viral. Once she was formally signed to a record label, she became the first female artist born in the 21st century to top the billboard 200. 12 of the 13 songs on her album (note the choice of number of songs) are on the Billboard 100 charts – the most ever for a female musician. With her goth-pop odes, Ellish built a fanbase of millions, many teen girls. And now that she is a bona fide hit, she can blatantly promote a satanic agenda.
In her video for All The Good Girls Go To Hell, Eilish is injected with a series of syringes in her back.
The liquid in them sends black fluid through her body and causes her to grow wings. She is in essence, an angel.
The next shot is of the sky and Eilish is seen falling to the ground. Thus, she is a fallen angel. We then hear the opening line of the song:
“My Lucifer is lonely.”
“Lucifer” is of course the title for Satan in the Bible. It represented a title for the Devil before he turned evil. And in the book of Isaiah, his fall is described in detail:
“How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations! For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north: I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High.Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit.” – Isaiah 14:12-15
The symbolism and lyrics could not be more blatant. Eilish is putting herself in the role of Satan – a fallen angel who was cast out of Heaven after rebelling against God. By desiring to “be like the Most High” the Devil in effect wanted to overthrow the Creator. And Ellish says that “her Lucifer is lonely” – meaning that there is no competition in her heart or mind against Lucifer.
Standing there, killing time
Can’t commit to anything but a crime
Peter’s on vacation, an open invitation
Pearly Gates look more like a picket fence
Once you get inside ’em
Got friends but can’t invite them
The next few verses are a mockery of Heaven. In Catholic belief, the apostle Peter, one of the 12 disciples who traveled with Jesus Christ during his 3 years of earthly ministry, is said to “guard” the entry into Heaven, informing the dead of who is permitted entry and who will be sent to Hell. This of course is a wildly unbiblical notion that has no support whatsoever in Scripture.
However, Eilish mocks this by saying “Peter’s on vacation, an open invitation” – indicating Heaven is wide open for entry. But of course, who would want to go? She compares the “pearly gates” of Heaven to a “picket fence” – a symbol of American suburban life (in other words, a boring place). And on top of this, the pop star notes that once you enter Heaven you “got friends but can’t invite them” – reinforcing the notion that Heaven is no place you would ever want to be.
This of course is fulfilling the Devil’s agenda, namely, to distort the message of the Bible, corrupt the hearts and minds of humanity and move them as far as possible from a belief and trust in Jesus Christ. The Apostle Paul confirmed that even using pop music is not beyond Satan:
“But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ. For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him.” – 2 Corinthians 11:3-4
The Bible is clear that the Devil will use “any means” to corrupt people and keep them ignorant and spiritually blind to the message of eternal life through faith in Jesus Christ.
“Hills burn in California
My turn to ignore ya
Don’t say I didn’t warn ya“
And here is where Eilish makes her ode to climate change – which has become a religion unto itself in modern Millennial society. But then she goes right back to an anti-Christian message:
“All the good girls go to Hell
‘Cause even God herself has enemies”
Recall that Eilish has billions of plays of her songs and videos on the internet. And she has millions of crazed fans singing that “all the good girls to go Hell.” Rather than go to Heaven, Hell itself is promoted as the place the good girls really want to be.
The Bible says: “Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!” (Isaiah 5:20). This is precisely what Billie Ellish is blatantly doing by singing softly of “my Lucifer”, promoting Hell and mocking Heaven.
The spiritual confusion and blasphemy against the Christian faith continues with Ellish referring to “God herself” – affirming the notion that the God of the Bible is female, something that has become increasingly promoted in pop culture. Beginning And End previously reported on pop star Ariana Grande’s smash hit “God Is A Woman” with a blasphemous award show performance in which she reenacted The Last Supper of Jesus and the Disciples with all females.
What kind of spirit would inspire such a blasphemous, disrespectful song about God? Certainly not the spirit of Christ. The bible is clear that although the Antichrist may not be on Earth at present, the “spirit of antichrist” runs rampant throughout the world:
“Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world. Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God: And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.” – 1 John 4:1-3
The Antichrist, the satanically empowered, false messiah who will rule over the Earth in the final years before the Second Coming of The Lord Jesus Christ, will be infamous for brazen blasphemy of The Lord:
“And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty and two months. And he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme his name, and his tabernacle, and them that dwell in heaven.” – Revelation 13:5-6
Note that the Antichrist will not only disrespect God with his words, but Heaven and those who reside in it as well – precisely what Ellish does in her song. And why does Satan do this? To move the hearts and minds of the unsaved masses away from ever believing in God. Do not be deceived.
“And once the water starts to rise
And Heaven’s out of sight
She’ll want the Devil on her team”
Here, the song references Heaven eventually being destroyed or overtaken by flood waters. Interestingly, after the flood in the days of Noah, sinful humanity led a rebellion against God by trying to build a tower that could access Heaven itself:
“And the whole earth was of one language, and of one speech. And it came to pass, as they journeyed from the east, that they found a plain in the land of Shinar; and they dwelt there. And they said one to another, Go to, let us make brick, and burn them thoroughly. And they had brick for stone, and slime had they for morter. And they said, Go to, let us build us a city and a tower, whose top may reach unto heaven; and let us make us a name, lest we be scattered abroad upon the face of the whole earth.” – Genesis 11:1-4
More than just a mere building, the tower was an attempt to access Heaven absent God – which is the basis of all occult practices. And note that the rebels who attempted this chose to use “slime” or bitumen to seal the bricks of the tower. Bitumen was the same material Noah used to seal the wood planks of the ark – to prevent water from leaking in. In using the same material for the tower, the builders at Babel hoped to defy God should he choose to flood the world again. A Christian commentary makes this clear:
“Nimrod, the leader in the scheme boasting that he could so defy the vengeance of God. Again some have thought that Noah had deliberately marked out the settlements his posterity, and that Nimrod and his followers were unwilling to submit to this. Then some Jewish writers have interpreted the word “name” Shem to mean God, “the name of God” being often put for God Himself and so have imagined that the builders of the tower proposed to make an idol temple.”
Shem was the Godly child of Noah, whose name in Hebrew literally means “name.” Ha Shem is a title used for God in the Bible. So, the builders of the tower of Babel wanted their own “Shem” for themselves.
This spirit of rebellion can be seen in Ellish’s lyrics when she says that God will even want “…the Devil on her team.” This again is open promotion of Satan and blasphemy against the Christian faith.
The Glorification Of Death
“Walk in wearin’ fetters
Peter should know better
Your cover up is caving in
Man is such a fool, why are we saving him?
Poisoning themselves now
Begging for our help, wow“
Here Eilish again mocks the Christian faith by questioning why the Devil Is cast as a villain “waking in wearin’ fetters” or shackles of a prisoner. On the other hand, humanity are the ones should be punished. In an interview rant about climate changeEilish elaborated:
“Mankind! It’s mankind that’s the f—– fool. Why are we working so hard to save mankind when we should really be out here like saving the planet, saving the world, saving the animals? We are literally the flu [of the world]. We’re the flu and the f—– this beautiful that we’re like ruining. I mean like, obviously that song is however you want it to be about, you know, but a lot of it’s about global warming and, you know, the world’s being so ruined by us, you know, it’s literally us.” (source).
Rather than being a “flu” or a virus of the world, God made humanity as the preeminent creation in the book of Genesis:
“And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. So, God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.” – Genesis 1:26-28
Humanity was made to be an image-bearer of God – a reflection of His Holiness and Goodness. The Lord gave the first two human beings, Adam and Eve, dominion over the Earth. Modern atheistic thought and the radical environmental New Age belief promotes the opposite – that mankind is ruining the Earth, contributes nothing and deserves to be wiped out by “Mother Nature.”
This idea has taken hold with many young people today and leads to the notion that life is pointless and there is something fascinating if not noble, in killing yourself. Eilish’s song Lovely was featured on the soundtrack of the Netflix smash hit 13 Reasons Why, a show about a teenager who commits suicide and sends letters to all the people who bullied or hurt her to blame them for making her take her own life. The show glamorizes suicide and has been connected to a spike in teenage suicide rates.
In her song Bury Your Friend, Eilish adds on to the mystique of suicide:
“Step on the glass, staple your tongue (ahh)
Bury a friend, try to wake up (ah ahh)
Cannibal class, killing the son (ahh)
Bury a friend, I wanna end me
I wanna end me
I wanna, I wanna, I wanna end me
I wanna, I wanna, I wanna”
In the song Bellyache, Eilish fantasizes about murdering her lover and good friends:
“Sittin’ all alone
Mouth full of gum
In the driveway
My friends aren’t far
In the back of my car
Lay their bodies
Where’s my mind
Where’s my mind
They’ll be here pretty soon
Lookin’ through my room for the money
I’m bitin’ my nails
I’m too young to go to jail
It’s kinda funny
Where’s my mind
Where’s my mind
Where’s my mind
Where’s my mind
Maybe it’s in the gutter where I left my lover
What an expensive fate
My V is for Vendetta
Thought that I’d feel better
But now I got a bellyache“
The Bible repeatedly encourage us to choose life and celebrate it. God emphasizes how precious every human life is to Him. While the sinners and those who embrace the satanic desires of the sinful world take the opposite view:
“For whoso findeth me findeth life, and shall obtain favour of the Lord. But he that sinneth against me wrongeth his own soul: all they that hate me love death.“ – Proverbs 8:35-36
Pop music has become increasingly darker in recent years – with numerous megastars extolling the virtues of mind-altering drugs, prescription pills and opioids as the only way to escape from the pointless, painful reality they live in (as they drive luxury cars, travel the world in private jets and spend millions on mansions and whatever else suits their tastes that day). In their wake, they leave millions of fans, many children, who truly believe these lyrics and embrace the suicidal death culture that comes with it.
Channeling The Demonic Spirit Of Pop Culture
“And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins; Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:” – Ephesians 2:1-2
The picture above is from Ellish’s song You Should See Me In A Crown in which she has spiders crawl over her face and into her mouth while she wears a crown similar to what the Pope wears with crosses on it.
In her song 6.18.18 Ellish bluntly says: “I think God is fake.”
That song was written as a dedication to rapper XXXTentacion, who was murdered on June 18, 2018. The “XXX” in his name was alleged to be a part of his belief in Hebrew numerology with the letters equaling “666.” He too was known for his dark, death-embracing lyrics, demonic videos and promotion of the Devil:
And here is Ellish with her good friend:
Ellish is just the latest in a long line of pop stars who have used blasphemy and promotion of Satan on their road to success, massive wealth and fame. Beginning And End has previously detailed many artists who have taken the same wicked path:
- Katy Perry has attacked the Christian faith, promoted witchcraft in her performances and her own father claimed she was a “child of the devil.”
- Singer and actress Miley Cyrus has also blasphemed the Christian faith, promoted all manner of sinful rebellion and her father, country singer Billy Ray Cyrus claimed she was under “attack by Satan.”
- Lady Gaga, one of the most occult-promoting artists of all time, made a song which was a tribute to Judas Iscariot, the evil disciple of Jesus Christ who betrayed the Messiah by conspiring with the religious leadership to arrest Jesus on false charges and arrange for his crucifixion.
- Beyoncé – who has made many videos promoting occult symbolism.
What all these young women have in common is the massive level of fame and success they achieved at a young age once they embraced everything the Bible deems to be the works of the Devil. What spirit would inspire all these women to make videos and songs the openly promote demonic or satanic imagery, mock the Bible and glorify Satan and fallen angels? Certainly not a spirit of God. But as the passage in Ephesians above explains, this is the danger any non-believer lives in every day – being subject to “the prince of the power of the air” – the Devil.
The Bible explains that the sinful spirit of Satan influences and even inhabits those who are not redeemed by faith in the atoning work of Jesus Christ on the cross. And once Satan can find an unwitting servant to do his bidding on a large scale, the lure of fame and material wealth leads Hollywood celebrities to commit all manner of sin.
Pray For Billie Eilish
“And the devil, taking [Jesus] up into an high mountain, shewed unto him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time. And the devil said unto him, All this power will I give thee, and the glory of them: for that is delivered unto me; and to whomsoever I will I give it. If thou therefore wilt worship me, all shall be thine. And Jesus answered and said unto him, Get thee behind me, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.” – Luke 4:5-8
Satan made it clear during Jesus’ temptation in the wilderness that he has temporary authority over much of the power in the Earth. He offered Jesus all the fame, glory and power in the world, if Jesus would worship him. And The Lord rejected the Devil’s offer. Sadly, many, many pop stars have accepted this offer – though not in direct conversation with Satan but by promoting everything that is satanic and sinful to their millions of adoring followers in return for money and glory. Do not be deceived.
Pray that Billie Eilish will know that whatever material prosperity she receives, it will not bring peace. All the fans in the world will not bring true happiness. If a person is at war or separated from God, our Creator, they will never have rest for their soul. But Jesus said: “Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.” (John 14:27).
Jesus took on human flesh, suffered, bled and died so that Billie Eilish can know and receive that peace. So that she can be forgiven of all her sins and enjoy eternal life with God. So that she can be reconciled back to her Creator. And Lord willing, she will learn that the Bible tells the answer of where we go when we permanently sleep – and that she goes to the right place – Heaven.
