Monster energy drink has become one of the top energy drink brands in the world with its promotion of a super shot of enegry for high adrenaline sports and activities. But is this drink maker secretly promoting the Mark of the Beast of the Antichrist in its logo? We will explore.
The Logo
Monster’s everpresent logo is this symbol:
Certain blogs and websites have noticed that the logo is very similar to the Hebrew letter “Vav”. In the Hebrew Alphabet, every letter is also a corresponding number and Vav is the number 6. Thus the three Vavs in a row form 666, which is the Biblical number of the Beast:
In the Book of Revelation, the False Prophet, a spiritual leader who helps persuade the world to worship the Antichrist, will also institute the Mark of the Beast System, a global economic system by which all buying and selling by all people in the world will be controlled by a “mark” that is put into the hand or forehead. And that system also allows for someone to bear the “number of the beast”:
And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads: And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name. Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six [666]. Revelation 13:16-18
666 will be the official number of the Antichrist in the end times. And as occult societies who are actually welcoming his arrival look to prepare the masses for it, subtle subliminal ads and marketing can be found in pop culture today promoting this number. In the case of Monster Energy, if this all seems to be coincidence, then the coincidences grow even stronger, when one sees the marketing slogan for the Monster Energy Drink:
Notice that it says “unleash the Beast” which is precisely what the Bible describes in the end-times when the ‘Beast spirit’ that indwells the Antichrist will be released, enter the Antichrist and start a reign of terror, murder and destruction the world has never witnessed in its history.

moonrush…you are absolutely right. If you look at the symbolism used for promotion of Monster Energy products how could you not see it as promoting Satan? Every symbol used, every phrase “Unleash the Beast”…if they are not promoting Satanism and 666, why would they choose the three symbols which plainly equate to the number 6 three times in a row, to achieve the Monster “M” on their labels? You don’t have to be a Christian to see that Monster went out of their way to, if nothing else, make their product questionable when it comes to their marketing tactics. If Monster is not intentionally trying to promote 666 and the mark of the beast, why does everything on their packaging in some way represent that very thing? Open your eyes Realistic. Whether you are or aren’t a believer in Jesus Christ, you can agree that Monster’s packaging is somewhat questionable when it comes to the meaning of the symbolism on their products, riht?
As a Christian, to the unbeliever out there, please understand this is NOT what the Bible teaches or what Christianity is about. To the Christian who believes this, open your Bible and study it and stop being dipped by these immature people who do want to twist the scriptures to fit their fears and try to manipulate people into believing.
The book of Revelation is, if you read it, the Revelation of Jesus Christ and His glory. Not the revelation of the anti-christ, who has been among us all along, I John 4:3, “which you have heard is coming and even now is already in the world.” Hello, when was that written? Seems to me the antichrist has been here for a long time, get over it. If you are a true believer you have nothing to fear. If you are not a believer, you’re not going to care anyway.
You can take any product or symbol and turn it into anything you want. I can take your text and attach numbers to the letters and I guarantee I can come up with a mathematical formula that turns all your text into 666. It’s the number of a man, not a can…read the Bible you claim to believe and stop making yourself and Christians look like idiots by assigning stupid stuff to something that is real, all you are doing is deceiving yourself and manipulating others and that’s not how people come to Christ – at least not real repentance and change of heart.
You mock God by making it sound like the beast has more power than he does. It’s the revelation of Jesus Christ, not the beast.

This passage conforms with Revelation 17, where the angel speaking to John describes the Beast that rises from the sea in Revelation 13:

So the text seems to be making a differentiation. There is an Antichrist that is to come. But the same spirit that will lead him is already working in this world to corrupt the minds of those who do not believe the Gospel and those who purposely distort it for their own gain.
With respect to the Antichrist’s power, the Bible says:
So from this text, we can conclude once again that the spirit that is leading to the Antichrist is already working in the world. Additionally, as opposed to “not being so powerful”, the Antichrist is fully empowered by Satan with “all power and signs and lying wonders.” This will be the most dangerous man to ever live. He will have occult powers and perform real supernatural acts. There will be signs and wonders taking place around him. His false prophet will be able to call down fire from heaven. The Antichrist will suffer a mortal wound and come back from the dead. And what is going to be one of his main weapons? Deception. As the Scripture states, he comes with “all deceivableness..” Jesus Christ The Lord will destroy the Antichrist and False Prophet by His mere appearance as they will not even be able to withstand His Divine Light or His Word when He comes at Armageddon. Satan will be captured and locked away in the abyss. But this does not change the fact that the Antichrist will indeed be powerful and will lead millions if not billions to hell.
So while I respect your disagreement about the question the article raises, I do not think you have provided the Scripture to back up your assertions, nor do I agree with your interpretation of the verse you do provide. But this is part of the beauty of living in this time. I agree with your context of I John 4:3, and the difference between the spirit of and the entity of the anti-christ. Just as there is the spirit of Christ in the believer, and the actual Christ – Jesus our Messiah and only begotten Son of God. My point is, why are we concerned with the anti-christ the entity and seeking and trying to find him and searching for hidden meanings in things which have nothing to do with him?
We should be seeking Christ. If we seek Christ the devil, regardless of his form has zero power over us – else Christ is liar when He said the gates of hell will not prevail. God limits what satan can and cannot do and the time frame or season in which he can do it. Look at the messages to the churches in Revelation, his time is limited, focus on Christ and overcome.
Nothing has changed from the beginning. satan (I always lowercase his name to tick him off), has no true power except a season in which is he allowed to tempt us. In the Garden of Eden, he provided us with a self-centered instead of God-centered thought, and as a result humankind fell as we gave our authority up to a bad idea instead of keeping focused on God.
Every temptation thereafter, including the temptation of Christ is the same. Christ was told all He could have if He focused on Himself in the wilderness instead of God’s will. Christ overcame. If we focus on God’s will, all these other things become inconsequential. who cares what is on the side of a can or the logo or the tag line? That has no meaning except what we assign to it.
Driving down the road today there was a yellow line dividing the road. Yellow has 6 letters in it. I drove 6 miles. The repeating patterns of passing and no passing breaks total to 6. Is that road the subversion of the anti-christ slowly deceiving us, after all the devil wants to divide and destroy and a road is symbolic of taking our own path. Oh my, I should never drive that road again because in doing so, I’m giving into the anti-christ and being deceived by him and taking his mark as I drive with one hand it is in my hand, and as I scan the road, it is in my forehead. That’s absurd, but shows how we can take ANYTHING and assign meaning to it that is not necessarily true.
I can take that same stretch of road and make analogies that point to salvation. Yellow is the color for remembering, and in it we should remember the sacrifice of God, Jesus, breaking His body and shedding His blood and rising from the dead so we can have salvation if we accept the gift. We can take detours along the way, but in doing so we get off the road to life. We may want to pass, but as we walk, God directs our steps. The two l’s in yellow are the pillars or our faith. The two L’s are Christ in the center with two characters on the right and two on the left, each set representing those crucified with Him. So is this road sanctified and pointing to Christ?
Monster… The ‘vav’s to me look like three nails, one in each hand and one in the feet. Unleash the beast? Yes, we need to unleash the beast within us, the spirit of the antichrist that is in every one of us until we come to know Christ…unleash it and let Christ the warrior defeat that part of us.
What I would be more concerned with regarding monster, or any drink with caffeine and other mind altering substances is what it is doing to our bodies. The root word for witchcraft in English is pharmakia in Greek, the same root word from what we get pharmacy. The question is not is this or any other beverage satanic, it is, where is your heart? Why are you drinking it? Are you addicted? Are you needing it to pick you up rather than relying on God to pick you up or listening to your body that God created to remind you that maybe you need to slow down before you do damage to it (not slow down to be lazy, but to be balanced and think about are we carrying our own burdens or His yoke). That is the maturity of the believer, not seeking to find evil in things but to seek the evil in our hearts and repent.
I grew up in the church where 666 was talked about often, and the church would be beaten and bruised and near death and lost and then Christ would come back to rescue His bride and kick butt. Wrong. We are the light of the world. Christ is waiting for His bride to mature and cleanse her heart and shine…who wants an ugly beat up bride? He already paid the price for our ugliness and redeemed us like Gomer…now it’s out part to rise up and shine and purify our hearts and put on the white robe (washed in the blood) and show the world who we are BY OUR LOVE for one another, not fear for symbols and interpretation of symbols. Yes the beast is real and it’s going to get ugly, but in darkness light always overcomes and we need to shine not run!
If you feel monster is of the devil, don’t drink it. It’s like the meat sacraficed to idols discussion Paul had. It’s okay to drink it – where is your heart in the matter is what is important. This is not a matter of being a sinner, it is a matter of what is expedient to you. If you feel uncomfortable, don’t drink it, don’t buy it. It is the same argument with alcohol among Christians. You can drink and be a Christian. I choose not to drink solely to set myself apart like the Levite and the kings so that the words I speak are always done with a sober mind, knowing that God holds us accountable for what comes out of our mouths more than what goes into them…because the words we speak are not only binding, they reveal our heart.
Instead of seeking for hidden meanings and signs of the physical entity of the beast…we know he is coming and will do bad things FOR A SEASON and to whom God alone allows, and what God permits it is for the good of those who are in God’s will. So we know all we need to know about the beast…what we need to focus on is Christ, keeping a Christ-centered focus will save us rather than trusting in our own intellect and reasoning and perceptions in trying to identify the beast. A serpant spoke to Eve, you think she would have first said…”THis is weird, should I entertain listening to this creature?” She was decieved and more pure at that moment than any of us, how do we think we are not going to be deceived if we keep looking for the beast instead of looking towards Christ?
Did the three men in the firery furnace look for and evil king? Did they seek out the prophets and look to his coming and go around telling others, look at what is happening? Or did they just do what they knew what God wanted them to do? In the end, who protected them? There are many mysteries in the Bible that have purposely been told on a “need to know” basis…so when everything is revealed ALL knee will bow and see Jesus for who He is and none will be without excuse. IF all were revealed now, there would be no reason for faith, and no reason for us to make a choice, and we’d all just be one step above robots. God created us with free will to choose Him and is looking to raise up a Godly seed that seeks after Him who are willing to go from children to mature believers capable of stewarding more of His creation. Our original purpose hasn’t changed, we’re suppose to be stewards of the earth. With the knowledge of good and evil from the tree we partook of we need to learn how to manage that first. God’s not so much concerned with the believer’s sin (He paid for that already) but of our stewardship. So examine your heart before you drink or buy anything…becuase that Christian candy at the Christian book store can be just as evil, if not more so than buying something from a professed athiest and consuming it.
I challenge believers to examine their hearts, not symbols. Interesting thing is, when you do that you will find most of what you thought were symbols and signs really don’t matter. What matters is God is in control and all that can be shaken willl be shaken and as long as we don’t look to the left or the right, we will come out fine.
I also challenge beleivers to discuss in open forum. Unbelievers are seeking and we do not want to give them fodder to continue in their unbelief. What is on a can really doesn’t matter. What matters is our love for one another. The world is looking for answers, especially right now. I’ve never met anyone who hasn’t admitted they are a sinner. But I have met a lot of professed sinners, including athiests who confess to “mistakes against nature and others”, who reject Christ because we’ve shown a poor example of what we have. We have shown division, we have shown rules and regulations, fears, symbolism, what I call anti-idol worship (the Monster discussion is such, we’re not to have idols, but we’ve turned Monster into an anti-idol that most people in the world haven’t idolized), rejection, hatred. Sin is sin, no compromise there. But a sick person doesn’t need to be told they are sick, they want answers. We need to demonstrate the answer in the way we live, the way we find unity, the things we focus on, and the difference we make in the world SERVING those who don’t need our service. Imagine if Christians served the gay community. One can serve without accepting their choices or supporting their choices. All we have done is alienated people over the last decades instead of embracing the unlovable as Christ did. We have even taken Matthew’s texts to excommunicate our own. I’ve watched pastors get fired for reporting child abuse to the police against the will of the senior pastor! And then we use the text on church discipline to justify kicking someone out…Christ said, whoseoever will may come. Obviously we need order within the church, but the text in Matthew is clear – go to that person, slowly expand the audience if more witnesses are needed…then “treat them as an unbeliever” if they continue in their ways. How do we treat unbelievers? Kicking them out or do we seek to restore them. I think it is not by coincidence Matthew wrote this, he was a tax collector, unliked, hated…yet accepted by Christ and restored by Christ. We need to grow up and stop fighting and debating things and get down to the real work of living the life of Christ.
Christ only debated the religious leaders to 1. Point out their hypocrisy, not for them, they were blinded by God. To point it out to us to not be like them, yet the Church has been like them far too long. 2. To instigate them to the point they would seek out to cruicify Him.
Paul’s letters to the churches and the rest of the New Testament is about maturing us to keep focused on Christ and live the life of Christ who walked in authority and without fear and overcame and didn’t take the time to look for signs of the devil, but when the devil came to Him He recognized the devil because it was black and white to Him from keeping focus on His Father’s will. Nothing can come agaisnt us if we simply do that….even if we are tortured and hurt, we remain true and we will rise with Christ as Christ did who went through torture and pain. Simply be a Christian, don’t seek the devil…he’s a creation, not ominopent, not omniscient, and just a pawn put in our path to provide us with a choice. If we know the path the choice is clear. To know the path we need to focus on the goal and that is to be more like Christ, not look for when, where, or how the road may turn left or right.
The reason no man, not even the angels, know the day or hour in which Christ will return is simply because Christ is waiting for the Church, the body of Christ, to mature and be a Bride of age and maturity ready to enter into the marriage. WE are the delay because we are bouncing around with lots of knowledge like teenagers creating our lists of rights and wrongs rather than realizing we need to think like adults and about the stewardship of our hearts and mature. WHen the body of Christ unites again, when we stop worrying about things we have no control over and things that don’t matter at all, when we focus on our Husband and what He wants, then Christ will return, the marriage will commence, all the end of days prophecies will be fulfilled. That day or hour no man knows not even the angels because no one can say when we are ALL going to mature…it is dependent on each and every one of us. I’m looking forward to that day when the seals and horns and riders on the horses and beast come. I wont take the mark, because I’ve already been marked and there is no room for another, nor can it be overwritten, and I will be one of the overcomers God seeks in His message to the seven churches, all of which apply to churches, the Church (entire body of believers), and each one of us today.
If you want scripture to prove Monster is not of the devil, you wont find it. If you want to abuse Scripture and assign Monster and other objects as signs or tools of the devil, then you failed to read Scripture and see how the devil works. He doesn’t work with conspiracy or signs and symbols, he works on your heart to get you to take your eyes off Christ and on to other things, mostly yourself. If you are seeking hidden messages in things, you are not keeping your eyes on Christ. That’s reason, that’s logic, and there are many scriptures telling us to focus on Christ, not the devil, we are only to be wise (aware) so we can steward our choices. So drink Monster if you want and doesn’t cause you or others around you to stumble. Don’t drink it if it causes you or others to stumble, but at the same time let’s not make another commandment when Jesus did the job of summarizing all of the law into two commandments – love God first and most, love your neighbor. Are you loving God if you drink Monster, I personally don’t think He cares unless you are using it as a dependancy for something…. are you loving your neighbor if you drink monster, I think it is good for the economy and creates jobs, but if you’re legalistic Christian neighbor is offended by it and it will set them off into an immature focus, maybe you should drink it in private.
This is NOT a rant in support of license to sin. It’s a rant to call Christian’s to maturity and think about their heart in what they do or don’t do, and realizing we are all maturing at different rates and are unique creations of God and we need to extend Christ’s grace and mercy that give us time to raise up to your more holy level if you think you are more holy. (When I use the pronoun, “you” I am not responding or speaking to anyone in particular but in general all of us, including me). Sin is sin, and we need to repent of it, but let God define what is sin, not us. He did that in the Mosaic Law…to point out that we can never be perfect apart from God’s grace and mercy bestowed on us from Christ’s payment for our weakness. So now it is more about the stewardship of your heart than lists of rights and wrongs and expounding…we’ve spent too much time arguing over music, length of hair, smoking, drinking, now logos…to determine right and wrong of this and that…when it’s not about that, it’s about the motivations of our heart. King David sinned, clearly. But is remembered as a man after God’s heart. There were consequences of his sin, he was never permitted to build the temple. We should not seek to sin, but if we do, know that the consequences help bump us onto the right path again. So walk, and let God direct your path and stop worring about whether every new things come along like bar codes being of the devil, if you truly are a believer, you are sealed and cannot be decieved because God limits the season of the deciever else you would be deceived no matter how hard you try not to be. Trust God. Focus on Him. Don’t rely on your own ability to try and determine the signs and the seasons. If you are in Him, nothing can touch you expect that which is permitted and always with an escape and to bring you to a highler level…and when you think you are at the higher level, think again…because as long as you are on this side of eternity, God is constantly working to help you have opportunities to mature. When you go home to be with Him, you’ve reached your peak.
Personally, I don’t want to work at McDonald’s in heaven, I want to steward a city….to do that, I need to not worry about what is on the wrappers, but worry about what is in my heart. Worry about the wrappers and the symbols, you are gauranting yourself a place in heaven that is going to be about that…worry about the matters of your heart, then you will show Christ you are ready to manage your ways properly such that you can oversee the ways of others in fairness and proper judgement. If you don’t think there are levels in heaven, read what Jesus said in response to the question of who will be greatest in heaven…His answer was not, “you’re all going to be equal.” Also read the passasge about the parable of the steward and the servants that some Christians often take out of context and assign to believers. Both parables are about the believers, and not about hell (hell is a real place and for ever and not a place you want to be, but these passages are not about hell). The weaping and gnashing of teeth is about the believer who enters heaven having done just enough to escape hell rather than having gone on to maturity from a child of God to an adopted son of God. A son, recieves more responsiblity than a child. What will your role be in heaven? Depends on how mature you conduct your life as a believer..and that doesn’t come from checking off lists of do’s and do nots..it comes from how you manage your heart. David sinned, but he managed his heart and repented and moved on. Why did he sin? Took his eyes off God and put them on what looked good to him and he gave up his authority and power God gave him to his own lusts. We only give the beast power by making a bigger deal of him than we should. We have an unhealthy obcession with him rather than see him for what he is…a pawn used to accomplish God’s will. Yes, God wills what the beast will do…else it would not happen. But we don’t like to think that because we have a hard time comprehending how God wills evil to take place if God is holy…and that is the paradox of stewarding the knowledge of good and evil. It’s not black and white, it’s knowing when it is okay for evil to prevail to serve the greater good. God grants satan authority to do evil, He granted satan authority to torture a righteous man, Job. But He did so to prove He is in control and sees all. We’ve yet to learn to manage the knowledge of good and evil and that’s why stewardship is our journy as the believer, not what is and is not sin, but how are we managing our choices. Anyting can be sin and the same thing can not be sin. Serving your church can be sin if it is preventing you from having your one on one time with God or interfering with your marriage. Yet not serving in your church can be sin as well. We need to focus on Christ to let the Holy Spirit reveal to us what is in our heart that we cannot discern on our own. If we cannot discern our heart, do we really think we can discern the intent of a soft drink logo and marketing campaign?
Worry about seeking Christ, not these silly things. And when we do that, the unbeliever wont see silliness they will mock, they’ll see conviction…which they might mock or they might truly repent. Someone once told me, as I religiously wore my church bus route jacket and carried my Bible in school to show the world I am not ashame…”Don’t be persecuted because you are werid, be persecuted because you follow Christ.” Being not of this world doesn’t mean we have to be freaks and create dividing lines, it means being focus on Christ and the kingdom that He’s trying to establish ON EARTH, as it already is in heaven. We’re suppose to be doing that, not looking for the end and the escape and the doom and gloom, Jesus’ own prayer was about the kingdom on earth that is inside of us as we love Him first and most and serve our neighbors…why are their children dying and starving at night? We’re talking about freaking (oh no, Christain swear word, that will start a blog) logos while there are people suffering and poor and hungry and widows, and broken families, and children growing up in those broken families…shame on us. Do we really think we’re going to hear “Well done” because we boycotted what might be a sign of the beast and put our energy into that instead of finding solutions for the children who are suffering.
Hey child going to bed hungry, all I have is a can of monster that I can’t give you because I think the logo on it is evil. Hey husband who has neglected your wife to the point that she’s hardened her heart against you and is now divorcing you, watch out for Monster, it’s a sign of the devil. Hey terrorist who is persecuting the believer, beware of us, we can discern the beast…look it’s on this can, you should fall to your feet and repent. Hey homosexual, instead of showing you why your lifestyle is an abomination through what true love…did you know that can of monster you are buying for your life partner is another abomination? Hey athiest, we were right and you were wrong because look how clearly the logo on this can ties to Scripture that same Scripture that causes me to seek what is to come rather than living in the present and changing lives of the neighbors in my community whose names I do not know but cause me to lock my doors at night because they are of another color. Hey believer in a false religion or false god, look at our God who created this entity that’s going to cause a lot of problems in your life, he’s everywhere, even in the slogan of beverages, don’t you want to worship our God too?
What are we doing Church? We need to grow up (me included). They shall know us by our love for one another. When we start truly doing that we wont have time to focus on this stupid stuff with symbology and they’ll be faced with a choice. Not about are they silly people..but wow, why are they so different? Maybe I need to check out this God of their’s. That’s how we plant seeds and how God give’s the increase. John the baptist was beheaded, his purpose to warn the people ended. If you feel your purposes is to be the end of days messenger scaring people to Christ in the last hour…just remember how your days will end too. Great if that is what the Spirit has convicted you to do, carry on. Just do it in wisdom. Don’t focus on trying to prove the Bible or interpret it with things around us…God’s Word stands alone and by taking these sacred texts and applying news clippings or soda cans to them, you are adding to the texts…there’s a warning in that same book to those who do so. I don’t know who the beast entity is, or if he is among us today, or care to know. I’m standing with Christ and know the beast’s end. What happens to me in the process, is all by God’s will. I can only walk and He directs my steps…I may stumbe and fall, but I have the faith He will carry me with grace and mercy afforded by what He already paid. Be the end time warrior and prophet if you will, but speak only the texts of God’s words without interpretation or adding on what you see around us… That’s what John the Baptist did…He didn’t say…”See what Herod is doing? See what the Roman’s are doing?” He spoke the words of the prophets of old without interpretation of current events or things against them. If you do more than that you are on shakey ground.
I know many good men, with sincere hearts, interpreting Bible prophecy by comparing to news articles in the daily paper. The same have said the Catholic church was the beast, then Russia, and many have predicted the month of the second coming (because we can’t know the day or hour, but it doesn’t say we can’t know the month or week!). Sad sad situation…only leading to embarrassment and proof that men are fools and God alone is truth. Be the end time warrior by speaking the Scripture, alone, without interpretation because God’s word is true and all else is opinion. God will interpret it to us through His Holy Spirit…we don’t need the newspaper or things around us to do that. Either people will hear the Holy Spirit or quench Him. That’s the choice. Trying interpret like this blog is, just convinces some and makes others laugh, some turn away completely. The Bible doesn’t need proof. You are no stronger in the whiles and ways of the devil if this idealogy about Monster is indeed true…so how has it helped the Body? If the unbeliever doesn’t have faith in Christ, by giving them a very loose and subjective evidence of the devil is that going to bring them closer to Christ? The Holy Spirit draws men to Himself, not our clever arguments and certainly not stretches of the imagination.
The devil is real, the beast is real, the beast will deceive, those who take the mark will be lost, but if you salvation is so weak to believe that God can’t keep you, then that’s not the salvation I want. I believe I have been sealed and bank on His grace and mercy when I fall. Yes I look to discern and prevent falling, but I do that the way David does, Thy word have I hid in my heart that I might not sin against thee. Not…let’s look for patterns in in marketing schemes to see if the devil is out to trick us. News flash…he is out to trick us and the greatest trick is not convincing us he doesn’t exist, but convincing us to think we can rely on our own to and figure him out. Eve should have turned to God and said, “God, this sounds right, is it?”
I also agree, the antichrist entity, the beast, is the devil with the full empowerment of satan. But what power does satan have? ONLY what God gives him, that’s it no more. satan is a creation, not a god. Last I checked, Jesus said the gates of hell shall not prevail against the Church. Wouldn’t that mean the church has more power than satan? If so, then why do Christian’s stumble? Because we give up our authority! Not because we are weaker than the devil but we are giving up our authority to stand against him by keeping focused on Christ. We think we are smarter than Eve and can see him coming and not be deceived. Jesus Christ Himself didn’t act this way…Jesus turned to the Word and kept focus on His Father, and was victorious. Eve could have said, “Hmm…serpent, let me ask God first what He thinks.” Instead, the serpent did not spend time trying to convince Eve that the serpent didn’t exist, he spent his time convincing Eve to look to herself….and soon as she did, she made the wrong choice. So if we think satan has all this incredible power, it’s because we’re giving up our own to keep focused on Christ. But if we want to stick in middvil mindsets, much of which is driven off myth and the apocrypha about who the devil is and is not, then I guess we should all be scared of him. Jesus to me is a heck of a lot more powerful, so I am not worried about satan, I’m worried about me taking my eyes off Christ…that is the ONLY time satan can impact me.
Whether it is Job, Eve, Jesus, the seven churches, the beast…the scope of what satan can and cannot do is limited to what God allows and to a time and a season. he is not omniscient, not one level lower than all powerful, not even very smart when you look at his real pattern – getting us to look to ourselves instead of Christ…he has many ways of doing that, but the bottom line is always the same. Self centered focus instead of Christ and other’s before ourselves. Name a sin that is not rooted in lust of the eyes, lust of the flesh, and the pride of life…that is all about us…hmm…three roots of sin, man created on day six…hmmm…seems more of the ways of the beast and his mark than some artists expression of monster…. how does one act out the lust of the flesh, lust of the eyes, and pride of life….by our action (hand), our thoughts (forehead).
I think we have much bigger issues to worry about than creative marketing…and not about satan’s power but our giving up our own authority we have in Christ. So, forgive me for minimizing satan, but I know his future and I know mine thanks to Christ. Not scared of him or worried about him because greater is He who is in me than He who is in the world…by an incredibly large landslide…thus, not much power for the scary one. He won’t lead people to hell, people will choose to go to hell because God will let them be deceived by the beast…like He blinded the Pharisees. The devil is God’s pawn, created by God, permitted by God to torment (see Job), else we would not have free choice to choose God. Just as the millions/billions will have a choice in the end of days but many will be deceived by the deceiver God gave a season to in order to accomplish His will which we cannot comprehend that paradox of how a loving God also uses the devil to accomplish God’s will. Study it. Read Job. Not Dante or Paradise Lost or tradition that has morphed satan into a lot more than he is.
Personally, I don’t see the antichrist as the most dangerous man to ever live. I see my self as the most dangerous man to live, because it is me who condemns myself, it is me who doesn’t deserve salvation, it is me who can cause other’s to stumble, it is me who can quench the Holy Spirit, it is me who can reject Christ….it is me who can focus on myself rather than turn to Christ… it is me who cannot discern my own heart….that makes me more scared of me than I am of the devil. At the same time, I am more powerful than the devil because I can choose to seek Christ and when the devil attacks, I’ll know what to do regardless of how the attack may come – if I am seeking Christ. The whole point of Revelation is to show us Christ is God and powerful, yet the fraction of the book talking about the beast that gets defeated gets way more attention…. to me it makes me wonder why someone who is already defeated, unleashed for a season only to be defeated again gets more attention and wonder and vain speculation than the awe and respect of Jesus in His glorified state. That is the message of Revelation….not beware and let us figure out the mystery of the beast. So we figure out who he is…then what? Eve spoke to a serpent…she didn’t find that weird? All the power to you if you think you are going to prove something through a logo on a can to keep someone from being deceived when Adam and Eve walked with God in the cool of the day and couldn’t see the talking serpent as being odd.
It is a logo, a piece of art, a rendition of the marketing concept of a brand called monster, intended to emphasize the energy in the drink. That’s it. I choose not to reference every paragraph and sentence with Scripture because the intent of Scripture is for us to hear what God has to say, not use dial-a-verse snippets to support our hypothesis and thesis…that’s how religions get created, and what allows legalism to thrive. Yeah I’ve read articles about this drink as well. But B&E you’ve done it best because it is countered with Scripture. Not only do they have the drink but, shirts and hats. I think its a play on taking what is evil and making it seem good and what is good seem bad. My son used that slogan, “I’m a BEAST at this game”. I have to correct him. Michael, you should read Matthew 5:22, since you call yourself a Christian. It will tell you what God thinks of calling your brother a fool or “idiot” or “moron”. I do agree that the drink is just a drink marketed towards a certain demographic to make huge piles of cash. What if they just happen to carry out something that looks like an occult ritual or perhaps they are wearing something that looks like an occult symbol, what harm is there in that?

I have never looked very carefully at the Monster logo so up until 5 minutes ago I thought it was an “M” for Monster, but when I looked more closely I saw that the “slashes” are not connected at the top like the letter M is. It really does look like 3 vavs in a row. This is ridiculous. Everything about this post is ludicrous. Let’s give the book of Revelation a bit of an introduction: The author, John, is known as a Jewish author. He is in fact very poetic, and uses many allusions to Jewish culture and literature that would have been common knowledge in his day. The time that Revelation was written, the Roman Empire was still in power; moreover, Christians were becoming more widespread, and thus the Empire saw them as threats to their power (Much like the Sadducee did with Peter). This caused wide spread persecution, gladiatorial slayings, blasphemous reenactments of the Crucifixion, etc. Nero, the ruler of the Empire at this time, is believed to be the figure of the ‘anti-christ’. He was widely accepted among the Romans (much like Scripture says).
Now, for the whole mark business. The word mark in Hebrew is synonymous with the word for currency. This makes logical sense since Scrpiture states that whoever does not have the mark, cannot engage in trade, buying nor selling. You cannot buy or sell anything without currency, that makes sense.
What about the whole number of the beast? This is a symbol. John, being a poet, favored symbols and metaphors. The number is a symbol for faith in the flesh, and believing that salvation can be found without Jesus. This number is meant to be at a lower value of 777. Seven is the number of completeness, and is associated with God and perfection. Thus 666 is the number of humanity, and incompleteness, (the original lack of salvation, thus we all need Christ). There is an allusion being made: John is stating do not put your faith in humanity, worldly things. Instead, put your faith in Jesus, and God for they are complete and perfect.

At my youth/young adult service at my church (i’m 20) a parent referenced this site and specifically this article in terms of energy drinks. Now our music director drinks Monster on occasions and has heard about this vav mark of the beast symbol on monster cans. But my argument is this, these are made using everything God put on this earth, which i believe one of the apostles mentioned to the pharisees (not that i’m calling anyone a pharisee) that everything God created is clean since God is uncontaminated and 100% good & perfect. So my point is, the drink inherently isn’t bad so long as you don’t drink it everyday, not to mention they are terrible for your health and i stopped drinking them for that reason specifically. But what i think your article is trying to say is, this is how Satan is using subliminal messages to blind the people. But it isn’t wrong to drink one if you need the energy, even if you know about the meaning of the logo, right? God made everything that is in that drink so it’s ok to drink it, just don’t do it often and cancel any demon that is trying to manifest itself into your subconscious through that logo. Its actually much much worse than people can imagine. Just about the only core things that arent inherently bad are life forms and nature. A library is not evil or good. It merely serves those who use it. It is evil through the hearts of men that put the darkness into things. While its true that Jesus said its not what we put into our mouths that defile us, but what comes out. He also said that if your eye is healthy it will allow light in the body. And if the body is full of light there can be no room for darkness. I would ask to give God another try. Except this time, find a private place where you can be alone with him. Be honest with yourself and search the ways in your heart where there is pain. Confess the things that you’ve done wrong. Then ask, “God,If you’re real, please make your presence known to me right now. Do you really think arguing with people is going to bring them to the Lord? Our job is to show them the true love of Jesus.
Preach the gospel of Jesus, which is that he died for us so that we might have life. Give an honest testimony of how he changed your life. If somebody does not believe, respect their opinion and their God given right to freedom of choice and leave it be.
Ask yourselves what spirit you are appeasing by arguing back and forth with unbelievers? I’ll tell you what kind of spirit it is- It’s called a spirit of insecurity and wanting to be right. We should beware of this spirit and not bow to it by constantly arguing with unbelievers.
When you know you’re right, there is no need to argue about it. Besides, if you really care about the unbeliever you are witnessing to, you would know that only the loving kindness and forgiving spirit of Jesus leads to true repentance. How is the spirit of Christ being shown through you when we are arguing and name calling?
Stop getting offended. After you’ve preached the gospel, if somebody responds with name calling or verbal taunts, do not respond unless it is with a word of kindness. Didn’t the Lord do the same on the cross? He did not answer his offender’s abuse with abuse. He endured it patiently and without retaliating for their sake.
Let me explain it this way- From an unbelievers viewpoint, when you argue with them and tell them what they believe is wrong, it raises their defenses and closes their hearts. How do you feel when unbelievers call your beliefs stupid or wrong? It hurts, right? The difference is, we have an understanding of why they are hurting us and should rise above that. So then why do you act the same back to them? Have you forgotten that you were once hopeless and lost before Jesus saved you?
Now let me explain this scenario- You witness about the gospel of Jesus and your own testimony with love and in a way non-judgmental way, then the other person bombards your kindness with verbal abuse. Instead of retaliating, you smile and apologize for offending them. You ask God to bless them and you go on your way. If the other person has any shred of decency they will wonder why you didn’t argue back and call them names like they did to you.
For people that are lost who will be saved, it is this love, (the love of God which doesn’t repay anger with anger, but forgives anger by showing love) that will lead them to Jesus. This is why we need to stop arguing and acting like the world and start acting like Jesus.
Let’s stop acting like selfish hypocrites and start showing the true spirit of Jesus, one which offers unconditional love to all of those who ask for it, regardless of where they are in life.

I am a man of “seeing is believing” and i have not seen god or any kind of proof of god. And until i see undeniable proof, i will remain a non-believer. As in my previous statement, all of the books in the bible were written by MAN and if they were under some “devine” experience, it wasnt god. So I took a closet look at the logo.. Guess what? It is Greek.. Two letters from the Greek alphabet make the logo. The first two claw marks are connected at the top creating the capital Greek “Pi” and the third claw mark stands alone as the capital Greek “Iota” there fore it’s “Pi Iota” and if we add the O it is “Pi Iota Phi” which is a chapter at Tampa bay Fl.

So in conclusion I have offered more evidence contrary to the evil Hebrew theory. More evidence that actually represents the design of the logo. The proof you seek G-d places before you and does speak of that proof in the Bible, but that proof is far from, “because I said so in scripture”! There are actually many “infallible proofs”, but I’ll mention just two:
First, creation declares the glory of God! There is no way creation could come about by unlimited time, cause and effect, and random events making our reality! The laws of large numbers and physics make that outcome of the Big Bang require more faith than Jesus! Second, the prophesies fulfilled too are too reliable that chance can’t possibly be the source of fulfillment. Again, chance and the outcomes brought about in the context of how they were fulfilled makes the law of large numbers again declare that our G-d is true! Any serious thinking man will agree! Maybe I can help, as a college professor dealing with both theology and Hebrew let me say the way one writes 666 in Hebrew is not to string three Vavs in a row. That expression in Hebrew totals 18. Rather to represent 666 in Hebrew one would write from right to left and down Final Mem equals 600 same kph equals 60 and vav equals 6 together like Roman numerals they represent 666. I’d be happy to write it in Hebrew but this iPhone I’m using does not offer those Henrew letters for this.

Other then a book that was written by man and if thats enough proof for christians, then you all should believe in batman and superman because there are books written by man, about them as well. hello my brother, everything boils down to faith. You believe what you believe because you are convinced of its sound argument. God cannot be proved by arguments or logical reasoning, He can only be proved by faith. Men who believe in God will not be able to prove God to you using high sounding arguments because they themselves never come to know God that way. For example, I can’t claim to understand many things about God until i believed. Only then did i begin to understand. Yet i do not claim to have all the answers; their are indeed things I am yet to know and that i may never know. But, again, what I know or do not know was not the basis of my faith. That is why it is only those who became foolish by believing in a God they cannot see or that science cannot prove that eventually get to know God. if you retain your wisdom you can never be wise. Higher wisdom cannot be grasped by human wisdom; it can only be RECEIVED by faith. You are convinced their is no God because of what you seem to know; however your knowledge or lack of it cannot disprove God.
In another way round, everyone is a believer. You believe in no God and I believe in God. What forms the basis of our believes are what other people have proved and written down; either based on their reasoning or their faith. No knowledge really exist in a vacuum. However, the truth is that both cannot be correct at the same time since they have parallel and conflicting claims…. But I have to answer your questions. YOU SAID WHERE IS THE PROOF OF THE GOD OF THE BIBLE? If I ask you to read the Bible, that can’t help since you don’t believe in it. If i ask you to read the testimonies of men that have found God, it can scarcely help since you still need faith. So I say, CHALLENGE HIM, ASK HIM TO PROOF HIMSELF TO YOU THAT HE EXISTS and He will SURELY do! Don’t shy away from this, I challenge you to challenge HIM. I have engaged in a few blogs on this site. I might as well tell you. I enjoy this site. Honestly. But i’ve asked the same question in multiple blogs and have not yet seen an answer. I want undeniable proof of god. Any god. Not some quote from a book that men wrote. Not some pure faith nonsense. I want to see proof. I want to see god. Im pretty sure the only way that will happen is in the end times… which will never come. The only end time for me will be my death and thats all she wrote. Nothing else. Why would there be a life after death? It makes no sense. In the bible it says the world will start over in peace. Why wont it turn right back into the world that we have today? Has anyone heard of the band 311? A long time ago everyone said their band name stood for KKK due to the fact that the letter K is the 11th letter in the alphabet. Put a 3 in front of the 11 and it must mean KKK. When in reality they got their band name from a police code from the city they are from for indecent exposure. Same concept here. Everything can be misinterpreted to mean something else if looked into with over thinking.
All this talk has brought up “Christianit” and my experience with it has been my grandmother telling me I’m going to hell bc I had premarital sex, drank alcohol, and smoed at one point in my life. Christianity is nothing but a mind controlling religion where if you don’t do as they like they will talk about you. If you’re lesian/gay, they don’t like you. If you wear anything other than a long skirt or dress or anything other than what they deem worthy, they will talk about you. If you go to movie theatres, listen to music other than church music, and god forbid you don’t do what they want you to, they will talk about you as bad as anyone could.
I stopped going to church when I was 16 because of all this. God is supposed to love you no matter what and his “followers” aka “christians” do not conform to that. Look, the true christian belief is surrounded by and based on forgiveness. This is how you can tell the difference of a true believer and one who is not. In Christian believe, you are not condemned by God to your past. If you study carefully the bible you will know what the horns of the monsters mean, those are the papasi from the roman Church. 4. Sunday named after the Sun – While this may be true, it again has no bearing on anything in Biblical Christianity. We are in the world, but not of the world. Whatever was done with it from there is not really an issue for those who follow the Bible as their sole authority.

We can know the cross is not evil because the Bible tells us so:
Note that Jesus said this to the wealthy young ruler BEFORE the crucifixion. So not only was He accurately prophesying His own death, He was using the cross symbolically to preach the Gospel.
We see the cross personified and used as a metaphor all through Scripture. It is the symbol of the Gospel as it represents the ONE THING and only thing that can save a person, the sacrifice of Jesus Christ. Jesus’ shed blood on the cross was the only means by which our sin debt to God could be paid for. It was the only way God could justly pardon a filthy, wretched, perverted sinner like me and welcome me to Heaven with open arms. It was Christ who suffered on our parts. It was Jesus Christ who was beaten, bruised and disfigured for the wrongs we committed. And in His death and resurrection He earned salvation and forgiveness we absolutely do not deserve. And all this happened on the cross.
So the cross is indeed a symbol. And a wonderful one. Now the only question is, do you believe in it, or do you choose to reject God’s forgiveness and carry on in your sin and guilt before Him?

Is not the cross the murder weapon of Christ. Do you know that Satanists use the cross (even right side up) to mock Christ with that murder weapon. It never made sense to me why Christians would wear the murder weapon around their neck or even place such emphasis on the fact that he was crucified. To me Christ was a freedom fighter and he delivered the smack down well and good to those self righteous Jews, bastard nation of Romans and the general — of the world. I do not need a drink can with scribblings on it to convince me that satan is being advertised and promoted. We went thru something similar to this back in the 70’s. There were certain records that you could play backwards and it would sound as if another track had been overlayed on the record. If you tried hard enough you could force yourself to believe it was the voice of satan. Yes satan is alive and doing just as GOD wants him to do. GOD is allowing the devil to have his time here on earth. It is up to each individual to make up his/her own mind. Men and women will choose their own fate. I had to look at the riduclousness of this and find it very interesitng people judging everything to be satanic being incorrect about religion. Thanks for your comments, but I must respectfully disagree. There are numerous manuscripts of Revelation that confirm the number of the Beast is indeed 666. Not to mention that Scripture says the number of the Beast is a number of a man. Man was created on the 6th day of the creation week.

Saying that number is 616 is also mentioned several times in a old script before Revelation.
Infact one of the reason the beast number was “changed” to 666 was due to the number of Jesus being 888 and God 777 due to several reasons.

Well, I know I am a day late and a dollar short to this blog shindig, but, I am a FIRM believer in Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior. Also, I love Elvis Presley and everyone said he was the devil for his rock n roll and crazy dance moves. I think that this is all a bunch of hooey! So, If God created Heaven and Earth? Where then did Lucifer end up when he and his followers were cast out of Heaven. you guessed it, Earth, the only other place created. And from those cast out, those that laid with man and made offspring were to be destroyed by the flood. Now fast forward in time on the day of resurrection all those that have passed or on Earth, to include all destroyed by the flood, shall rise from their graves to be judged and enter Heaven. Those that can not pass judgment shall suffer for 7 years. So yes, Lucifer is on Earth and has been for ever, if he was not destroyed by the flood. And at the resurrection he too shall rise and rule the earth for 7 years until God wipes the Earth clean and starts over.
So live your life, Be Good in your dealings with all of man, and if you do, you may get called to Heaven.
