The September 23, 2017 false prophecy has officially been debunked.
It is September 24th, 2017. And lo and behold, the latest prophecy craze: the September 23, 2017 – Revelation 12 Sign in the Heavens prediction has failed. Numerous YouTube videos and blogs predicted either the Rapture, Great Tribulation or “something big!” would happen on September 23, 2017, all on the basis of observing celestial alignments of the constellations Virgo and Leo. As Beginning and End detailed in our article: The September 23, 2017 – Revelation 12 Sign Deception: False Prophecy Debunked, these prophecies were not only false, but based on the use of astrology, which is a sin in the Bible.
The Danger of False Prophets

Steve Cioccolanti predicted that September 19, 2017 would be his “last sermon” – based on his September 23, 2017 false prophecies.
The Bible explains the danger of false prophets and the reason they are even permitted to preach to God’s children:
“If there arise among you a prophet, or a dreamer of dreams, and giveth thee a sign or a wonder, And the sign or the wonder come to pass, whereof he spake unto thee, saying, Let us go after other gods, which thou hast not known, and let us serve them; Thou shalt not hearken unto the words of that prophet, or that dreamer of dreams: for the LORD your God proveth you, to know whether ye love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul.” – Deuteronomy 13:1-3.
God was well aware of false prophets who would attempt to dazzle believers with “signs and wonders.” Notice that some of these signs and wonders would even “come to pass” or actually happen. But that alone did not give the false prophet validity. The second part of the test was whether or not the teaching of that prophet was bringing one closer or farther away from God. The September 23rd false prophets very successfully lured many well-meaning believers to dabble in astrology – which is a sin in the Bible:
“There shall not be found among you any one that maketh his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, or that useth divination, or an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch. Or a charmer, or a consulter with familiar spirits, or a wizard, or a necromancer. For all that do these things are an abomination unto the LORD: and because of these abominations the LORD thy God doth drive them out from before thee.” – Deuteronomy 18:10-12.
Webster’s 1828 dictionary (which was based on the language of the King James Bible) defines “divination” as:
“The act of divining; a foretelling future events, or discovering things secret or obscure, by the aid of superior beings, or by other than human means. The ancient heathen philosophers divided divination into two kinds, natural and artificial.” (source).
Theologian John Wesley defined an “observer of times” as:
” Superstitiously pronouncing some days lucky, and others unlucky. Or, an observer of the clouds or heavens, one that divineth by the motions of the clouds, by the stars, or by the flying or chattering of birds, all which Heathens used to observe.” (source).
In each instance, the September 23, 2017 false prophets are breaking God’s clear commands. They looked to the stars, sun, moon and planets in order to determine or “divine” the future. The Lord called this an abomination:
“Thou art wearied in the multitude of thy counsels. Let now the astrologers, the stargazers, the monthly prognosticators, stand up, and save thee from these things that shall come upon thee. Behold, they shall be as stubble; the fire shall burn them; they shall not deliver themselves from the power of the flame: there shall not be a coal to warm at, nor fire to sit before it.” – Isaiah 47:13-14.
As the passage from Deuteronomy 13 above states, false prophets were sent to “prove” or test believers. If one is studying Scripture, then they know that “astrologers” and “stargazers” are sinners in Scripture. Christians have a duty to make sure any prophet or someone claiming “something big will happen!” are actually in line with the Holy Bible and relying on God’s Word to know the future, not some other means.
Scott Clarke Now Predicts The Real Day Is September 24, 2017?

Scott Clarke whipped many into a frenzy with his numerous videos on September 23, 2017.
Scott Clarke, a YouTube vlogger and one of the chief promoters of the September 23, 2017 – Revelation 12 Sign in the Heaven false prophecy, has shockingly switched his prediction to September 24th, 2017:
In the tradition of failed false prophet Harold Camping (who caused a similar frenzy in 2011 when he claimed he had calculated the day of the Rapture and Great Tribulation) when the first date fails, Clarke switched to another. And notice that Clarke is still basing his “recalculation” on constellations, the procession of heavenly bodies and the Stellarium software. Thus he is still seducing his followers to look to the stars instead of the Word of God.
Pray For Repentance
To no surprise, there has been little repentance from the main purveyors of this astrological false doctrine. Robert Breaker, whose video on September 23, 2017 has over 9 million views, has now disabled comments on the video and gone silent. The same can be said for Steve Ciccoccanti and Paul Begley. In fact, Begley (who not only predicted the Great Tribulation but also the possibility of Nibiru/Planet X turning the Earth to ice) posted a video in the early hours of September 23rd to discuss the earthquake in Mexico as supposed evidence:
Notice Begley is making his best attempt to stoke fear and alarm, almost hoping for catastrophe to justify his false prophecy.
Pray that these false teachers repent and that those caught up in the latest prophecy craze will see it for what it is: astrology. Let the church turn back to the Bible and the prophecies contained within Scripture, not in the stars. Some have said that even if these prophecies fail there is a benefit because they are making people think about God. However, The Lord declared that it is His Word that will save souls, not constellations or pagan rituals. Preach the Gospel. Share the Bible with others and let the exciting prophecies of Scripture draw people, not astrology or “stargazing.”
*For a detailed analysis of why the September 23, 2017 – Revelation 12 Sign in the Heavens prophecy is unbiblical and that the alignment does NOT even occur on September 23, 2017, please see our article: The September 23, 2017 – Revelation 12 Sign Deception: False Prophecy Debunked.
Revelation 12 already took place around 1980. Clearly these people have the wrong word and are spreading lies. Don’t believe the hype readers!!! Instead search for the truth and its not online!
I agree, there’s much fear mongering out there… Just one correction. Astrology is a sin. That’s using signs such as your birth sign to predict the future. Astronomy is not a sin. That’s observing the stars for signs that the Lord has put there. We’re not to try to predict the future, no, but we are to be watchmen and see the signs and observe the signs and seasons. Jesus himself admonished people that can see the sky being red but can’t predict the signs of his coming. Some of those signs are in the sky. Genesis 1:14 when He made the stars says we are to use them as signs. Also, why mention in Revelation a sign in the heaven if we’re not supposed to look at it and discern?
