Who are the Four Horsemen? The Bible provides the answer.
In Revelation Chapter 6 the Apostle John witnesses of Jesus Christ opening a 7-sealed scroll. The first four seals, when broken, each unleash a rider on a colored horse, sent to Earth for a specific purpose. Known popularly as ‘The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse’, there has been much debate over who or what these horsemen are. This article will show, by letting the Bible define itself, that these horsemen are spiritual forces that have been on the Earth since the first day of the Church age until the Rapture of the Church and the start of the Great Tribulation.
The Opening of The Seals
The Seven Seals of the Book Jesus Christ opens run through the entire history of the Church.
“And I saw when the Lamb opened one of the seals, and I heard, as it were the noise of thunder, one of the four beasts saying, Come and see.” – Revelation 6:1.
To fully understand the context of the sealed scroll being opened, we have to go back to Revelation chapter 5, where the book is first given. The Apostle John was caught up to Heaven and given access to see God’s Heavenly throne room. A detailed description of this room is given in Chapter 4. John is standing before God Almighty. And in Chapter 5, we see the seven-sealed book:
And I saw in the right hand of him that sat on the throne a book written within and on the backside, sealed with seven seals. And I saw a strong angel proclaiming with a loud voice, Who is worthy to open the book, and to loose the seals thereof? And no man in heaven, nor in earth, neither under the earth, was able to open the book, neither to look thereon. And I wept much, because no man was found worthy to open and to read the book, neither to look thereon. And one of the elders saith unto me, Weep not: behold, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, hath prevailed to open the book, and to loose the seven seals thereof. And I beheld, and, lo, in the midst of the throne and of the four beasts, and in the midst of the elders, stood a Lamb as it had been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God sent forth into all the earth. And he came and took the book out of the right hand of him that sat upon the throne. –Revelation 5:1-7.
In this passage, the 7 sealed book is held by The Lord but no one is found who is worthy of to open. Verse 3 states that no one worthy was found “in heaven, nor in earth, neither under the Earth.” Now it is Jesus Christ who of course is worthy to open the book. So why does verse 3 say this? It is because John is seeing this play out right before the resurrection and ascension of Jesus Christ. John is seeing what for him, would be going into the past. This is critical to understand. Jesus Christ, in Revelation 1, instructs John to: “Write the things which thou hast seen, and the things which are, and the things which shall be hereafter..” This is a reference to the past, present and future. So going back to the throne room, John sees Jesus enter Heaven after His resurrection, when He conquered death and the grave and won salvation for all who believe in Him.
If this was decades after the Resurrection and ascension of Christ to Heaven, why would the angel say “no man” could be found anywhere worthy to open the Book? Jesus’ victory and atonement on the cross made the only man in the universe worthy to open it. And John is there to witness the scene in Heaven at the moment Jesus returns to Heaven, His earthly mission completed. The angel who is speaking to John confirms this saying: “Weep not: behold, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, hath prevailed to open the book, and to loose the seven seals thereof.” There can be no question that this is referring to Jesus. And His victory earned Him the role of receiving the Divine book.
It is this author’s contention that this seven sealed book is the same book the prophet Daniel is told to seal until the time of the end in Daniel 12. At two points an angels instructs Daniel to:
But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased. …And he said, Go thy way, Daniel: for the words are closed up and sealed till the time of the end. – Daniel 12:9-13.
Now that we have the time frame and context established, the seals themselves can be examined.
The Horsemen – Spiritual Forces For God
The Book of Zechariah provides the Biblical explanation of the spirit -realm horses.
And I saw when the Lamb opened one of the seals, and I heard, as it were the noise of thunder, one of the four beasts saying, Come and see. And I saw, and behold a white horse: and he that sat on him had a bow; and a crown was given unto him: and he went forth conquering, and to conquer. – Revelation 6:1-2.
Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation. – 2 Peter 1:20.
The Bible instructs us to interpret Scripture by using other Scripture. 1 Corinthians 2 states: “Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God. Which things also we speak, not in the words which man’s wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.” This is critical – the Holy Spirit teaches us that we are to compare Scripture (which is spiritual) with Scripture. So in order to divide a passage that is prophetic, there should be some confirming Scripture elsewhere in the Bible. In the case of the colored horses and their riders, we find that confirmation in Zechariah Chapter 6.
And I turned, and lifted up mine eyes, and looked, and, behold, there came four chariots out from between two mountains; and the mountains were mountains of brass. In the first chariot were red horses; and in the second chariot black horses; And in the third chariot white horses; and in the fourth chariot grisled and bay horses. Then I answered and said unto the angel that talked with me, What are these, my lord? And the angel answered and said unto me, These are the four spirits of the heavens, which go forth from standing before the LORD of all the earth. – Zechariah 6:1-5.
Throughout the book of Zechariah, the prophet encounters beings and creatures from the spirit realm. In Chapter 6, he is converses an angel. And from between two “mountains of brass” come forth a group of chariots with horses. As is often the case when a prophet encounters an angelic being or sight that is confusing, The Lord, in His mercy, has an angel to provide the explanation for us. The chariots and their horses are spirits that stand before God. They are spirit realm beings manifesting as a chariot and horses when they come to Earth. And their appearance happens to correspond to the colors of the horses we see in the first four seals of Revelation. (B&E: the color “grisled and bay”, can mean grayish, which is similar to “pale” in Revelation. Pale does not mean “white”, it means grayish or sickly looking. In the Septuagint, the fourth horse in Zechariah is called “ash-colored.”)
In Zechariah Chapter 1, the prophet sees colored horses and inquires as to who they are and receives similar confirmation:
I saw by night, and behold a man riding upon a red horse, and he stood among the myrtle trees that were in the bottom; and behind him were there red horses, speckled, and white.Then said I, O my lord, what are these? And the angel that talked with me said unto me, I will shew thee what these be. And the man that stood among the myrtle trees answered and said, These are they whom the Lord hath sent to walk to and fro through the earth. And they answered the angel of the Lord that stood among the myrtle trees, and said, We have walked to and fro through the earth, and, behold, all the earth sitteth still, and is at rest. – Zechariah 1:8-11.
The word consistency of the King James Bible is never a coincidence. These four colored horses of Zechariah 6 are the same type of beings released at the first four seals of Revelation 6 otherwise known as the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse. This is how Bible prophecy is to be interpreted, by comparing Scripture with Scripture. In no other place in the Bible do we find spirit-realm horses. Thus it is clear that these are spirit realm beings who carry out certain tasks on earth for The Lord.
Is The Rider On The White Horse in Revelation 6 The Antichrist?
Is the first rider on the White Horse the Antichrist?
And I saw when the Lamb opened one of the seals, and I heard, as it were the noise of thunder, one of the four beasts saying, Come and see. And I saw, and behold a white horse: and he that sat on him had a bow; and a crown was given unto him: and he went forth conquering, and to conquer. – Revelation 6:1-2.
With Old Testament confirmation of who or what these beings are, answering this question becomes quite simple. Many rapture models, including the pre-tribulation or pre-trib model, and the pre-wrath model, identify the rider of the white horse who is released at the first seal as the Antichrist. The common reasons are that he has a bow with no arrow (indicating that he comes in peace) and that he rides a white horse and sent to conquer. This interpretation fails for several reasons:
The Bible never says this is the Antichrist. At no place in Scripture is this ever stated or even alluded to. The Antichrist is described in Revelation 13 as a man. In Zechariah 6 and 1 we are told that the horses are spirit realm beings.
The Antichrist comes from the bottomless pit. In Revelation we are told twice that the Beast Spirit which will indwell the Antichrist comes from the bottomless pit, also known as “the deep” or “the abyss” in Scripture. Revelation 11 gives this detail in relation to the murder of the two witnesses:
And I will give power unto my two witnesses, and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred and threescore days, clothed in sackcloth… And when they shall have finished their testimony, the beast that ascendeth out of the bottomless pit shall make war against them, and shall overcome them, and kill them. – Revelation 11:3,7.
Revelation 17 provides the second confirmation:
The beast that thou sawest was, and is not; and shall ascend out of the bottomless pit, and go into perdition: and they that dwell on the earth shall wonder, whose names were not written in the book of life from the foundation of the world, when they behold the beast that was, and is not, and yet is. – Revelation 17:8.
The Antichrist, going just by Scripture, is never in Heaven. It is clear, that at present, he, or at least his spirit, resides in the bottomless pit. Therefore an interpretation that has him coming to Earth from Heaven, contradicts Scripture. Thus there very clear, scriptural reason to reject that “1st rider is Antichrist” interpretation.
Identifying The First Horseman
Jesus’ prophecies in Matthew 24 lines up with the seals of Revelation 6.
Matthew 24 is a profoundly detailed series of prophecies given by Jesus Christ directly to His disciples. It is a parallel passage to Revelation 6. In it, The Lord Jesus describes the first four horsemen:
And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world? And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you. For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many. And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. All these are the beginning of sorrows. – Matthew 24:3-8.
In the same order as listed in Revelation chapter, 6, Jesus describes each of the first four seals. And the first seal’s horseman is a spirit of False Christs and religious deception. Jesus confirms the same in Mark 13 and Luke 21, which also contained end-times prophecies:
For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many. And when ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars, be ye not troubled: for such things must needs be; but the end shall not be yet. – Mark 13:6-7.
And he said, Take heed that ye be not deceived: for many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and the time draweth near: go ye not therefore after them. But when ye shall hear of wars and commotions, be not terrified: for these things must first come to pass; but the end is not by and by. – Luke 21:8-9.
In all 3 passages, Jesus identifies the first and second riders in their appropriate order and the identity of the first horsemen is clear: a group of “many” false Christ figures who will deceive many people in the world (the fact that there are many of these figures is yet another reason why interpreting the Rider of the White horse as the Antichrist, an individual man, fails). What is also emphasized is that when this seal’s horseman is released onto the world, it is not the end times. The end times have not started at this point. This also harmonizes with what we see in Revelation 5 and 6, since John sees Jesus take the book right after His resurrection and Ascension. The book is opened right after Jesus took the throne, almost 2000 years ago.
Thus the first horse is a spirit of false religion led by leaders who claim to be Christ or come in Christ’s name, deceiving their followers. And certainly, since the first centuries, many false Christ figures and systems have continually raised up in society, most notably, the long line of popes of the Catholic Church. These men use the title “vicar of Christ” which means:
“a title of the pope implying his supreme and universal primacy, both of honor and of jurisdiction, over the Church of Christ.” — The Original Catholic Encyclopedia, 1918. (source).
Roman Catholicism, a religion fraught with many unbiblical practices, has been a chief promoter for over 1,000 years of the worship of a line of men who claim the title of “substitute Christs” in charge of the entire church on Earth. And this is just one example of the false Christs prophesied by Jesus, among many.
The Apostle John, the longest living of all the Twelve Disciples, wrote of this same spirit operating at the time of his epistle:
Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time. They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us. But ye have an unction from the Holy One, and ye know all things. I have not written unto you because ye know not the truth, but because ye know it, and that no lie is of the truth. Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son. Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father: he that acknowledgeth the Son hath the Father also. Let that therefore abide in you, which ye have heard from the beginning. If that which ye have heard from the beginning shall remain in you, ye also shall continue in the Son, and in the Father. And this is the promise that he hath promised us, even eternal life. These things have I written unto you concerning them that seduce you. – 1 John 2:18-26.
Although written in the first century, the Apostle John already identified the spirit of false Christianity that was operating in the church. This “tribulation” to be experienced by the Church was so widespread, John called the early false deceivers “antichrists” – foreshadows of the final Antichrist of the Great Tribulation. This early precursor to the Great Tribulation is referred to as “the last time”, matching with the angel who told Daniel the sealed book would be opened at the time of the end. Thus he exhorts the reader to hold onto the Biblical Gospel and not be seduced by this spiritual infiltration.
So in short, by comparing Scripture, the First Horseman can properly be identified as a spirit bringing false Christ figures and massive spiritual deception into the world. This spiritual deception is a “tribulation” that the Church has and will continue to endure until the Rapture. Declaring the first rider on the white horse the Antichrist, while convenient for making an end-times timeline (since it seems logical the release of the Antichrist would kick off the end times events) is not accurate and in fact a private interpretation, because it is not confirmed anywhere else in Scripture.
The Second Horseman
And when he had opened the second seal, I heard the second beast say, Come and see. And there went out another horse that was red: and power was given to him that sat thereon to take peace from the earth, and that they should kill one another: and there was given unto him a great sword.- Revelation 6:3-4.
As we have seen already from our comparison with Jesus’ own prophecies of the end times in Matthew 24, the second horseman is given power to “take peace from Earth, and that they should kill one another..” In describing this seal, Jesus said: “And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom.” (Matthew 24:6-7).
The Second Horsemen is given the power to remove peace from the Earth. Certainly, since the first century, the world has seen endless warfare, seeing its peak with the devastation and unprecedented bloodshed of the 20th and 21st centuries.
While this is alarming, Scripture warns that this is not the start of the end times, but merely the prelude leading up to the Day of The Lord: “But when ye shall hear of wars and commotions, be not terrified: for these things must first come to pass; but the end is not by and by.– Luke 21:8-9. Thus the Second Horseman is a spirit of warfare that plagues the Earth with bloodshed right up until the end times.
The Third Horseman
The Third Seal Horse brings famine to a major portion of the world.
And when he had opened the third seal, I heard the third beast say, Come and see. And I beheld, and lo a black horse; and he that sat on him had a pair of balances in his hand. And I heard a voice in the midst of the four beasts say, A measure of wheat for a penny, and three measures of barley for a penny; and see thou hurt not the oil and the wine. – Revelation 6:5-6.
The Third Horseman brings famine and starvation to the world. The “measure of wheat” was the equivalent of the average amount of bread a working man would eat in a day, while a penny, or denarius, was the average pay for a day’s wages. So a working man could afford just enough bread for one person, with nothing to add to it, rendering him unable to feed his family.
Jesus described this judgment succinctly:
“..and there shall be famines” (Matthew 24:6).
“and there shall be famines and troubles: these are the beginnings of sorrows.” – Mark 13:8.
Famine has certainly stricken much of the Earth today, as many impoverished people all over the world struggle to find food to survive. This tribulation has been experienced for centuries and certainly will not slow down any time soon, unfortunately.
The Fourth Horseman
And when he had opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth beast say, Come and see. And I looked, and behold a pale horse: and his name that sat on him was Death, and Hell followed with him. And power was given unto them over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword, and with hunger, and with death, and with the beasts of the earth. – Revelation 6:7-8.
The pale horse and its rider bring death in various forms to a “fourth part” of the Earth. This distinction is important –as many end times commentaries interpret this rider bringing death and destruction to the entire planet. Rather than killing a set amount of people, this spirit has regional authority over a specific section of the planet to inflict death through violence, starvation and disease. Jesus described this rider as “pestilences.” Plagues such as smallpox, have taken the lives of millions since the centuries before Christ on Earth. Typhus, the Black Plague and in more modern times, malaria and AIDS have killed hundreds of millions of people. In Africa, approximately 25 million people are HIV positive, with certain nations (for example, Liberia and Swaziland) having a staggering 25% of their population infected. At the same time regional wars and ethnic cleansing campaigns like those carried in Rwanda have killed millions. Certainly a large portion of the planet is suffering under the strain and devastation of this judgment.
The Four Horsemen Who Precede The Apocalypse
“..these are the beginnings of sorrows.” – Mark 13:8.
While the judgments unleashed by these four spirits from Heaven sound like an end-times scenario, we must heed the words of Scripture over any pre-existing notions or private interpretations. Jesus, in describing the first four seals of Revelation, goes out of His way to remind believers that these judgments are not the end times. These are tribulations that lead up to the real Great Tribulation- the Day of The Lord, that commences at the opening of the 6th seal of Revelation Chapter 6.
These judgments are tribulations that will be experienced through the entire church age. But The Lord Jesus, the true Head of the Church, assures believers, that these events should serve as signs that end times are approaching. And certainly, the apostasy in the church, pseudo-Christian movement and rampant deception of heresy has run through all of the world. Wars around the world are at an all-time high. Diseases and famines have also reached unprecedented numbers. All pointing to the coming judgment of God on the Earth in the end times. But born again Christians, who believe the Gospel, can be comforted, knowing that before the wrath of God comes, they will be taken out of this world in the Rapture of the saints at the opening of the 6th Seal of Revelation (we detail this in our article “The Red Moon Rapture: Biblical Timing of the Rapture”). Jesus will come for His Church, to keep us in Heaven as the world is judged and confirmed it saying: “..And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.” (Luke 21:28).
If you are not a believer in Jesus Christ (or are not sure if you are going to Heaven), do not waste time. 2,000 years ago, Jesus accurately prophesied the signs that would dominate society. And they are leading to much greater judgment. Make sure you are right with God and have received forgiveness for your sins, which only comes through faith in Jesus Christ. And then you can be certain, that you will be saved from the wrath to come:
“Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.” – Luke 21:36.
And again you amaze me with your understanding of scripture. I know its all there for me to read too, but it seems like when I read your blogs, its almost like reading a study bible but with real terminology and examples of things happening today, truly awesome. So its possible to say that the four riders have been here since the ascension of Christ, 2,000 years ago? And the day of the LORD is just a 5th seal away?

We all have a manor of beliefs in this subject, many people are concerned that we are at the 6th seal, while this seems true it is far from it. Currently only 1/3 of our dear planet is strife with the goings on of humanity. I ask just bear with me a moment.
Humanity, is delving further and further into human rights, freedoms, and sharing of knowledge. With these idioms, there comes a great challenge, as one begins to understand another, there are few- but many whom even with understanding, still refuse. Belief is strong but littered with doubt, pride is fanciful but leads to conflict, as you know we can’t all be right. In our world of partial truths, consider this…
Half the people are half right. Take 10% of what we know to be truth, and 10% to be complete fabrication in an attempt to persuade the masses in one general direction.
The path to hell is paved with good intentions, for what one intends- with hope to alleviate one suffering, another uses.. abuses.. steals and changes to something selfish.
Honestly answer yourself one question, how oft have you done something without a selfish goal?
Ask yourself, when you saw that dirty beggar did you think how strung out they were?
would you have ever thought to wonder why they are where they are and that if they had someone- anyone who stepped up and set the example for them, reached out with no intention of recompense.
Great Article! I really am not so sure about the connection between the four chariots and the four horsemen, as the colors do not really match up. One of the horses in Zechariah is actually brown. And the last one is “strong and grisled” (YLT). In any case, I agree that the four horsemen of Rev 6 have been on the earth. The White and Red horsemen are easy enough. After the breakup of the Roman Empire large scale warfare increased, particularly between the Eastern empire and the Arabs. This began in roughly 400 AD at the fall of Rome.
The Black horseman was not only famine, but actually poverty. This was facilitated by the spread of feudalism around the world which robbed people of their basic economic liberty (note the horseman’s scales and the exchange of money) – 800 AD approximately
The Pale Horseman was the onset of the black plague in the dark ages, in this period of history the population of Europe declined by about 1/4, and decline was seen around the world. At this point, smaller rebellions and wars spread to more frequent and smaller scale as well, and lead to the rise of more frequent nation state warfare (around 1200 AD).
These horsemen still operate today.
The fifth seal involves the persecuation of the true church, which was facilitated by widespread institutional killing through the State Church with the likes of the Spanish Inquisition and other groups that. In this period the Protestant Reformation occurred along with regional religious warfare targeting Catholics and Protestants alike.
The Sixth Seal is going on RIGHT NOW! Certainly we have seen some amazing signs in the heavens, global changes, and even widespread earthquakes. As the horsemen are not a single event, neither is the Sixth Seal.

Thanks for your comments. If you look in Zechariah 6, the horses are black, white and red (matching exactly with Rev 6) and “grisled and bay” which basically means sickly and brown, perhaps spotted. However, the Septuagint says the 4th horse was “ash-colored.” Pale, contrary to popular thought, does not mean white. It can be one of several shades from yellowish to greyish when talking about living creatures. So it is possible the 4th horse is not a perfect “color match” but within the interpretation there is enough there to see a similarity.

I would really like to hear what you think about the 144,000. They are clearly significant in Revelation, yet no one seems to be able to place thier identity. I am not inclined to take a strictly symbolic significance as they are labeled specifically by tribe 12,000 each. The detail in this is rather telling don’t you think?
As to the horsemen vs the charoits, I simply think there are some significant differences, why are no riders mentioned in Zechariah, and why no chariots in Revelation? The accessories have been changed a great deal. Ultimately though, i do see your connection and I think you may be right.
Back to Revelation 6. Wouldn’t you say that the Cold War era constitues a nice excuse to build caves, and that now more than ever people are worried about the end of the world for the very reason that God is putting the fear of his return into our hearts (Mayan Calendar anyone). I truly do believe that the last few centuries we have been living in the 6th seal. It doesn’t make sense first of all for God to return before the 7th seal, and to boot, the seventh trumpet, which is within that seal. The rapture is certainly linked to the final trumpet, as the Apostle Paul indicated.
My concern, and yes, I mean worried, is that the 144,000 sealed are in fact a secret rapture which is a prelude to or even triggers the 7 year tribulation. They also correspond with the analogy of the rapture of the saints being a harvest. The Hebrew harvest season involved the giving of the firstfruits to God and the Temple. In the same way, the 144,000 that appear with Christ in Rev 14 are called firstfruits.
Lastly, what of a final rapture at the conclusion of the bowls of wrath there is a call for the Saints to come out, certainly the saints saved during the seven year tribulation will be saved from the final destruction? So then there must be also a gleanings, which again, was part of the Hebrew harvest.

I believe I can place the identity of 144,000… as they are actually in the modern day Western world today. They are neither figurative of symbols. As my pastor said back in the 1960s, “when interperting a passage of the Bible, absurdity is sufficient proof of symbol.”
And there is nothing absurd regarding John hearing the number of each of the 12,000 male heads of the households of some 800,000 wives and children making up the families of the lost Tribes of Israel.
We know this is so—because from Genesis to the Gospels to Revelation: only the men are counted and only the men are addressed, but when women are, its always for “the house of their fathers”.
As a firm believer in Dispensationalism, I would also argue that the Bible as a whole could be rightly subtitled: “unto the 12 Tribs of Israel”, with the Church of God, the Body of Christ being the greatest mystery of all the ages until our Lord Himself revealed it to Paul, as The Father’s surprizing, special gift to His son.
We can also note the prophecy is non-linear but is recipricating, or repeated until the final eschaton,
With this in mind, we see that Isaiah 43: 15-19 reveals there shall be a 2nd Exodus but far beyond the scope of the 1st Exodus of Moses and the original Israelites leaving from the slavery under Pharaoh in Egypt.
There are seen their antitypes in the 2nd Exodus, with Egypt as the world and the AntiChrist as Pharaoh and the two Witnesses as the Antitype Moses and Aaron standing at Jerusalem and saying to AntiChrist “let my people go!!”
Who then are these people?
They are nothing less than the original ancestors of the House of Israel which were taking out of the land of Samaria after the death of Solomon 2700 years ago. These other 10 Tribes migrated north to Europe and they became the Modern day chidlren of Jacob in what is now the Western nations of the world. Ephraim/America and Mannaseh/ Great Britian being the two oldest sons of Josepth.
The great Bible teacher A.W. Bullinger persuasively argued in this work the Apocalyse, that the church of God is not the subject of revelation but that Israel and her return unto the mighty God of jacob is its presiding subject.
And the book as a whole is substantially a panorama picture of the of all the events underwhich the 12 Tribes are seen as returning in a 2nd Exodus under 7 of the 9 original plagues which fell upon the Pharaoh of Egypt during the 1st Exodus during the Great Tribulation or “Jacob’s Trouble” which is falling upon the world/Egypt.
It is Isaiah also who tells us that these modern day nations of the West out of which a tiny remnant shall come will be destroyed.,
“And it shall come to pass in that day, that the remnant of Israel, and such as escaped of the house of Jacob, shall no more stay (depend) upon him that smote them.
But shall stay upon the Lord, the Holy One of Israel, in truth.
The remnant shall return, even the remnant of Jacob, unto the Mighty God.
For though the people of Israel be as the sand of the sea, yet (Only) a remnant of them shall return: the (judicial) consumption decreed (judgment pronounced) shall overflow with righteousness.
For Elohim Yahweh of host shall make a consumption, even determined, in the midst of the (Hebrew,eretz), earth.” (Isaah 10: 20-23)
How this consumption of the modern day ancestors of Jacob shall be brought about can only be understood by identifying the “Israel” of Ezekiel 38 which is attacked by the “Prince of rosh, or the Russian leader Vladimir Put in WW 3.
Only by our identifying the Western European nations as the children of Jacob, or as his name was changed, to Israel is it possible to see this clearly enough.
For this prophet said of the Prince of Rosh, that it will come into his mind to take a spoil and to go up against a land of unwalled villiages.
But the people dwelling in the Land called Israel today, are only the tribe of Judah, or the Jews.
And as we know, little Israel is very alert, much protected and not relaxed, plus there are at present over 700 kilometers of fences and walls sorrounding a great portion of the land.
No, its us over here in the “unwalled lands of the EU countries which is almost devoid of any such military protection and we are so easily taken by the now greater military might of an angry and very paranoid Russia in the East.
Only 12,000 families of each of these Western nations shall be returning unto the Mighty God of Jacob but the rest of them shall be destroyed and that specific reason being that Europe is a graveyard where far more than 6 million innocent men, women and children of the Jews were brutally murdered.
Most of which were burned up in ovens and being that God said what they sow they shall also reap, so shall the Europeans be burned up with the fire of nuclear missisles from Russia.

If I may, I would also like to cite these other Scriptures which are addressed to the Tribes of Israel only, one is from Isaiah 33: 13-14 and Revelation chapter 6 verse 17, as proof of my arugment.
“Hear ye that are a far off (the House of Israel), what I have done; and, ye that are near ..to Jerusalem( the House of Judah) acknowledge my might.
The sinners of Zion are afraid; fearfulness hath surprised the hypocrite.
Who among us shall dwell in the devouring fire ( of World War three)? who shall dwell in the everlasting burning (of the lake of fire).”
And John picks up this same scene of destruction in the little noticed and last verse of chapter 6:
“For the great day of His wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand?”
Which is then followed by the first verse of chapter 7 in which ,John said that “after these things” I saw.
What he then said was that he saw four angels apparently controlers of the weather, standing on the four corners of quarters of the earth and they were holding the four winds of the earth.
There is seen another angel who said to them, not to harm anything on the earth.
not until the 144,000 have been sealed with the Divine protection of the Seal of the Living God.

Having come late from atheist evolutionist to Biblical creationist by what I found in my own discipline of Information Science, I had a lot to learn about Bible interpretation and eschatology. I found that in the west we labour under a Greek mindset of prophecy = prediction -> fulfilment, whereas to the Hebrew mind prophecy is pattern. So if we think of the horses prophecy having a single fulfilment, that ignores the multiple repetition pattern that is so common throughout prophecy, e.g., Antiochus Epiphanes was a model of the coming anti-Christ, but to the Greek mindset he would have been the fulfilment of the prophecy in Daniel 11:21.

Now when we speak of the Greek army man Antiochus, whose action by the Physical Event of installing an idol of Zeus/Jupiter in the second temple speaks of the Abomination, (this was defeated by the acts of Judah Maccabee & his sons & as a tribute is the very Prophecy to the future revelation of the “Arc of the Covenant” given in the Book of the Maccabees by the Prophet Jeremiah also called as the Prophet of the New Covenant) now this same Abomination is to come in the Spiritual off the Prophecy of Daniel repeated by Jesus into His words “I come in my Fathers name & ye receive me not , but if one is to come in His own name , him you will receive” Now, Zeus(king of the pagans) is said to have unsurped his own father which is the one referred by Jesus, who will come in his own name & hence would be against all that is called “Fatherhood”. Thanks for your question. My answer depends on your definition of “the tribulation.” It is an amorphous term in Bible discussion, so if you show me Biblically, what you mean, I can answer. If you are asking if I believe the Rapture is before the Day of The Lord, as defined in numerous Old Testament Scriptures, then my answer is yes. I don’t mean to be confusing, but the term “tribulation” has many different meanings. But please feel free to ask any more questions or for more detail. I’m glad to share. God bless.
Sorry for being vague :). I suppose I mean like the depiction in the Left Behind series. Where no Christians will have to go through any form of tribulation in the last days, Like seeing the prophetic events in Revelations. I am still pretty young in my walk with Yah. I believe that we will have a millennial year reign on earth under Gods perfect reign. Like I said I am still young in my walk. upon research, just came across this site. as a roman catholic, 55 yrs old, a bit confounded re your comments about popes. i have never, ever been taught that a pope ever equates or sets himself above Jesus. we were always taught when Jesus chose Peter..Peter, you are my rock, and upon this rock i will build My church…the popes just followed as leaders of the catholic faith. i’m not hear to debate re popes throughout centuries, many who were known to be anything but Christian, very corrupt, etc..only that the catholic church sees pope as overseer of the church until Jesus returns in all His glory. the above posting was a very misleading and corrupt statement re the role of the pope (s).
Well, the popes are supposed to be INFALLIBLE (without error). You don’t really believe that, do you? And please tell me you don’t believe Mary, the mother of God, was also sinless, like Jesus, and was miracously taken to heaven having never died. And finally, please tell me you don’t believe in a place called Purgatory, where sinners are waiting to be prayed out of this place in order to go to Heaven.

The world population has now exceeded beyond the limits of the environment to support human life and give us a life style we can enjoy. When hunger becomes greater then the love of life, an end will be inevitable.
United States (a super p0wer) has been moving businesses out and into other countries(less wages to pay and more money to line these companies pockets. Amazing… I just find this article amazing, honestly. Reading your work has made me open my eyes even more widely to the truth. Right now, I must continue to pray for other lost and shallow souls around the world, in hopes they can all reach salvation and God’s forgiveness one day. It is also my redemption for I have sinned and done the unforgivable, yet God still had mercy on me, he let me come back and forgave me for the great sin I committed in my not so far past, allowing a demon inside of me.
Out of my own ignorance, I had allowed a friend who knows witchcraft seal the demon inside of me. I was atheist, I thought the power he was willing to give me was going to be some type of fraud in the end, or it would be something that only concerns human brain capabilities, or so I thought. He then told me I had to evolve the being inside of me and had to become stronger physically and spiritually, and sadly by spiritually meant increasing my hate, anger, and malice. He then explained that I could see this demon myself if I did certain steps inside my own head while in desolation, it was like opening a forbidden door. When I lastly had a vision of the being I was searching for, I noted the being had large ‘Red’ scales that covered the whole black image, it did not took me long to realize the Demon he had sealed inside of me was a Red Dragon.
Even at that point, I kept denying it was real, only a figment of my imagination that was ‘mentally’ going to give me physical strength and also help me achieve other types of abilities, as unrealistic as that sounds I bought it myself, and therefore eventually proclaiming that God was not real.
‘Negative’ as I rather call the person who thought me and was somewhat a ‘friend,’ he had thought me energy manipulation, training methods, and how to see auras. Not to mention power boosts one could achieve due to the demon, which he also had. It was around that time that I actually began to realize this was unreal, right after that I began asking him questions about God-Jesus Christ that he very much acknowledge he existed, even if he was somewhat a demon himself he never denied the fact he was real, but even so I kept attacking him that he was not real, but he just shrug it off.
As time passed by, my hatred and power increased, boiling my blood with killing ecstasy, I really wanted blood to drip from the edge of my sword, so to satisfy my imagination and my corrupted soul I imaged I was killing everyone around me as they passed by me, I even began swinging my hand as if I was caring a real sword. I was mad and shallow, yet I was as happy as a madman with homicidal tendencies. However, something suddenly hit me deep down at that moment, “This is not what I wanted… I do not want to kill anybody… Why can’t I control this thoughts?!”
The answer was simple, the Demon.
After that experience I came to see Negative, I told him my case and he did indeed took it seriously, it even made me wonder why he would concern himself like that if he was possibly the worst type of human I have ever met. He said this, “If you ever kill somebody, I will search for you and kill you,” his words stroked me with fear. But I did not mind his harsh words, it was not like I would since I still did not want to believe it was the work of a devil, but my own mind.
My conversion finally began after the following event that happened a weak after I had the talk with him, I decided to release the demonic power once again, only to find it to my very own disbelief, something I could do almost naturally became impossible for me to do, I could not release it, what was the meaning of this! I quickly went to see him, I wanted to know what had happened to me. After I told him almost scared that I could not release my ability, he said calmly and mockingly to me, “Do you think I do not know that? It was me who sealed it, since you said you felt the urge to kill, I figured that it was the best thing for me to do,” He then smiled, “Don’t worry, you can live without it.”
At that point I had many things in my mind, he sealed it with demonic powers, the ones I have been using while denying the fact that it was demonic in the first place, I was truly a fool, there is an almighty God! Jesus is real!
That’s about half the part of my life experience, the other half is about how my demon was expelled from my body, about another great friend who I rather call “Positive,” and the unfortunate events that had to occur so I could finally have inner peace and forgiveness.
However, there is one thing I would also like to share, which is one of the most painful experience my body and my soul had ever suffered. One day before I would finally confess all my sins, I was suffering from Demon attacks inside of my own body and soul, if I could describe the feeling, it was like my soul was being violated over and over I again while it burned in a way it could not be compared to any burning sensation anyone alive would ever experience, it was not like the burning feeling a sickness brings to the body, no, but it was actually the burning sensation from the creatures of hell, somehow I just knew it was.
I could not sleep at night since I could not stop shaking and grasping on to something for comfort, at moments at night I even rushed to the restroom to vomit blood, I had really mistreated my body and soul I was suppose to take care of by God’s order, there isn’t a day where I do not regret having done this, but… I realized that God loves me so much that he allowed his worst enemy to grasp on to me so to show me how insignificant I am without him. Having the devil inside of you so you can achieve your desires and not allowing God to come in, it’s like having a deep dark void inside your chest, there is no happiness.
But I have also felt God’s presence inside of me when I finally allowed God inside of my heart and soul, it feels like I am truly alive! It’s something that I can’t believe to so many is something unheard of! Also, it is my guess I have become more sensitive after this experiences, which makes me feel the presence of God more clearly then ever when I pray to him 🙂
One more thing, Negative, my friend. The last time I saw him I told him my faith in Jesus had returned, and that I will never fall for his bad influence ever again. Surprisingly after I told him that he smiled and revealed to me the actual reason why he taught me such wickedness, he wanted me to know both right and wrong, since the paths right and wrong signify God and the Devil, he wanted me who used to be atheist to know both existed so I would eventually choose which one to follow. And it appears that I did not disappoint his expectations, he was by far the strangest person I had ever encountered, and even if it made me go through hell, I still consider him a very special friend, therefore he will always be in my prayers, I wish to see him in heaven one day, i hope he reaches my expectations.

Our society changes and each time a bit of our freedom is taken. In the modern world, people are becoming nothing more then cash cows. The people in power now decide how we live and apply their laws to ensure we remain under their control.
We are now approaching a stage were the natural resources have been exhausted and the pleasures of capitalism is reserved for the few at the expense of the many. The only promise we have in the future is that we will inevitably destroy ourselves because of greed.
The reason we cant adjust to the demands of the environment is that the people at the top are to corrupt to understand. Greed is the dominating power and will only bring death to our society.

It appears that the world cannot be saved as it is way to much dept. Like in history, when the level of dept exceeds the value of what we have, war is the only possible cure.

This article is by far the best I have found on the internet regarding the Four Horsemen. After reading it, and seeing how the scripture backs itself up in several places in both the Old & New Testaments, I would have to agree with the author about the First Horse – that it represents false Christs and prophets. If you look around today, there are many.

This is a great question. And of course Scripture has the answer:
False prophets are sent to try us and make sure that we are truly abiding in God’s Word and can use our spirit of discernment to know the true people of God from the wolves in sheep clothing. The many false prophets of today preach about a god named “Jesus” but it is not the Jesus Christ of the Holy Bible. It’s a “Jesus” of their own creation who is an ATM, genie and servant rolled into one. Or it’s a “Jesus” who no longer cares if we overlook certain sins in scripture and do not take all the commands of the Bible as for “today’s society.” Or a “Jesus” who saves people based on works and not faith. See what I mean?

Emmanuel, your name gives a clue to the answer: Emmanuel means ‘God with us’ and refers to Christ coming to earth in human form. He came once as the suffering servant, and as the angels said in Acts 1, he will return the same way in the same place, but this time he will be the conquering king to rule for 1,000 years on the throne of David in Jerusalem, fulfilling prophecies from throughout the old testament and from Revelation 20. Those who reign with him on the earth during the millenium are those who were faithful to him, who trusted only his blood to save them and did not deny his name, who studied the Bible and invited the Holy Spirit to live inside the temple of their body to transform them by the washing of the word and change them step by step into the likeness of Christ. All is by His grace, not works. God is not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance (2 Peter). The devil prowls around looking for who he may devour (1 Pet 5:8): Many false Christs come in his name (Matt 24:5) but no denomination or congregation is ‘the chosen” people, rather If a person has chosen Christ, they are in Christ, as Noah and his family were preserved in the ark. Keep your eyes on Jesus and seek his will. He promises he will never leave you nor forsake you.

Despite the environmentalist claims that humans are an unmanageable plague on mother earth (thinly disguised Gaia worship), even the UN figures show that the world has enough food to feed everyone on the current population growth curve. The reality is that sinful selfish human nature won’t share. The west is dealing with epidemic obesity and the third world is starving, mostly because of political manipulation. 80% of the famines of the 20th Century were caused deliberately for political gain. We should always test what people say against the Bible, which is the only objective truth we have.

2. The 24 Elders – I do not believe the 24 elders are the caught up church. Nor do I believe they are human beings at all. I believe they are angelic beings who have the title of elder. The first seal was opened shortly after the Ascension of Christ to Heaven and will continue to be opened. So the seals come before the Catching up. I hope that makes sense. Seals 1 to 5 started from Pentecost and ends before the start of the great tribulation.
Seal 6 is the start of the great tribulation and ends before the start of the millennium.
Seal 7 is the start of the millennium and ends before the white throne judgement.

Started reading the blogs and got a kick out of how people “blast” this site because of its stance on the WORD OF GOD. Comparing scripture with scripture Rev 4-1 with Rev 11-12 the rapture of the church happens at Rev 4-1 nowhere in scripture are angels called elders.
Rev 5-11 And I beheld, and I heard the voice of many angels round about the throne and the beasts and the elders:
Obvious that the elders are not angels.
Also if the Church was still on earth the 144,000 wouldn’t be needed to proclaim the gospel the Church would continue to do so having already been sealed.

Thanks for your comment. Let’s look at Revlation 4:
Now let’s work backwards in this passage. I think we would both agree that the four beasts who surround the throne of God are NOT the raptured church, correct? They are chreubim who provide a cover for the throne of God. When Moses was given divine instructions for the construction of the Ark of the covenant and the tabernacle, cherubims were to be placed at the mercy seat. Why did Moses do this? Well one, God told him to. But also The Lord showed Moses a glimspe of the Heavenly realm:
And let them make me a sanctuary; that I may dwell among them.
So we can know that the tabernacle was modeled on the Heavenly temple of God. The brazen laver with water represents the sea that is before the throne. There is an altar, etc. And of course the ark, which is the representation of the throne of God, was to be carried by four priests, similar to the four cherubim surrounding the throne in Heaven.
With this understanding let’s go to the 24 elders. Nowhere are we told that these elders are humans. Nowhere are we told that this is the raptured church. It’s never even hinted at in Scripture. What we ARE told is that these 24 elders sit around the throne of God. It indicates that they clearly have some distinction. And where can we find something similar? In the plans of the temple as given by King David:
King David divided the priesthood into 24 courses. And he appointed TWENTY FOUR priests for this. As God instructed Him. And what David was doing was based on the pattern similar to Moses:
Thus the 24 courses are a type and shadow of the 24 elders of God. So the Earthly priesthood is just a type of the heavenly priesthood God has appointed. This is who the 24 elders are. And we know The Lord Jesus Christ has a priesthood. We are told in Hebrews:
Thus by looking to Scripture to interpret Scripture, there is much more support for the 24 elders being a part of the divine priesthood which the earthly priesthood was patterned after. And not the raptured church, Christian martyrs, etc. I welcome your thoughts on this. God bless. -B&E

Here is a Readers Digest timeline I’m leaning toward with minimal detail, just an outline:
Seals 1-5 pretty much having run its course or are still running.
Seal 6 in the near future. I’m thinking seal 6 will happen a bit before Daniels 70th week begins. Rapture occurs when this seal is opened because Gods Wrath now begins according to Rev 6:17. The Day of the Lord officially commences.
I’m thinking the Gog War pursuant to Ezekiel 38 might lead us into the first trumpet and I would put this right at the start of Daniels 70th week. (Not dogmatic but now leaning toward this thinking. 7 years to bury weapons now fits in.)
Trumpets 2-6 follow- no particular timeline except in Daniels 70th week and trumpet 5 lasts 5 months.
Mid point of Daniels week we have the abomination of Desolation, which means the antichrist is REVEALED.
Armageddon obviously at the end of Daniels 70th week with Christ second coming shortly thereafter.
Enter Millenium Reign of Christ (1000 years).

This article seems like a solid interpretation. However, I’m struggling with one aspect of it, perhaps you can help me. If these four horsemen were released after the resurrection (which I agree is what Revelation is saying), how is the world different because of them? What I’m saying is that there were wars before Christ came, and there were false beliefs, people starving, and certainly diseases. So what are these four horseman doing that makes the world different than before they were released?

The first time I was challenged to rethink my interpretation of the seals from Rec 6, I was told to look at seal 1 as Hitler, Seal 2 as WW 2, seals 3 and 4 pretty much as the aftermath and results of seals 1 and 2.
Now, I do not hold to that line of reasoning, but it forced me to take the seals out of Daniels 70th week, which is where the bulk of end times commentaries were putting the seals. Once I started doing that, this opened the door for other possibilities and interpretations, such as the one you espoused here.
Your interpretation makes a lot of sense to me and I can find no reason to exclude it. Especially if you follow your reasoning of allowing Zechariah 6 to interpret Rev 6, it makes even more sense. This way you would understand why the rider of any of the 4 horses, especially the first, cannot be a physical earthly man, like the antichrist or even Christ himself.
Is this interpretation really THAT necessary? Probably not, because we still are agreeing that the 6th seal is where the action really gets good. However, I now see people like Mohammed and Hare Krishna as fulfilling seal 1 instead of waiting for antichrist.

but i understand all you are saying but the part i really dont get is the 70th week? Is that not the 7 year Tribulation that anti christ starts when he confirms the accord with many?
If so then that makes it the beginning of the 7 years right? So if we taken before he is revealed that would mean around the beginning of the 7 or before right ?
but if that is so ? How can the 6 seal be us too when its in the middle of the 7 years cuz its when the sun gets dark and moon turns to blood?

I’m going to throw a spanner in the works here because my understanding is that the 70 weeks of Daniel has already been fulfilled and has nothing to do with end times. Perhaps this is where all your confusion is coming from. According to the prophesy, 70 weeks were determined upon the people and the city. (Dan 9:24) That is 70 weeks. It does not say 69 weeks and then a “gap” and then another week. To point out the obvious this would no longer be 70 weeks. Incidently nowhere n the bible does it talk about a 7 year tribulation. It does however mention a great tribulation period which comes after that man of perdition makes his appearance. (Dan 9:25) says, and I’m paraphrasing here, after the decree to rebuild Jerusalem unto the Messiah is 69 weeks. But it breaks up this time period into 7 weeks and 62 weeks. The seven weeks or 49yrs is the time it took to rebuild Jerusalem. Then in Dan 9:26 it says that the after 62 week the Messiah will be cut off. Now if we take the decree date of king Artaxerxes of 457bc and add 69 weeks (483yrs) we arrive at the date 27ad which was the date Jesus was baptised and started his ministry. This is where the 70th week starts. Verse 27 states that he will confirm THE covenant with many for one week (7yrs) and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and oblation to cease. Meaning he made himself the ultimate sacrifice on the cross. So the 70 weeks of Daniel points directly to the arrival of Christ and not the anti-christ as satan will have you believe. God bless.

Glorifying God is to become as Witnesses of His Glory. He who is always in Glory meaning no one neither any action can add or take away His Glory to the words “My Glory, Will I share with none’ & in these words rests our Hope.
I doubt the Anti-Christ would be depicted with symbolic strength(Bow), symbolic truth and justice(white horse) and conquering the world as if he were Christ, Its at the point where men would reject even Christ Himself, and I’m pretty sure no one has shown up claiming such and been taken seriously by any tangible amount of people to prove it. The verse isn’t explicit in what is meant by conquering either, Is it conquering the world, is it the falsehoods of the world, is it the sins and snares of the world, the interpretation might be a snare in itself contrary to the intention of God, It also may very well be the exact same rider as is depicted in the host of heaven, It simply states conquering and to conquer, It doesn’t say anything else to indicate if he is even present during the second horseman’s tenure, It is also obvious that one crown may become many for one who is chosen and who overcomes the darkness that the world has amplified, the bow versus the sword argument is weak at best, these could simply represent nothing more than presentation and status under two completely different situations for the exact same individual. It doesn’t seem to me that demonic forces would even need to deceive men, They are already living in their own deceptions, deceiving themselves and one another. So I find myself wondering where these scholars are getting their alternate information from? The Bow is the Covenant, and the Crown is the Power and Authority. The White Horse is the bringing of the Gospel/Covenant throughout the world from Ascension up to the Second Advent. The Rider is the Lord Jesus Christ/Holy Spirit

Seal 3
Economic Woes continued on from Ascension up to the end of the Great Tribulation

I figured it out,chapter 14 is the time when everyone will see changes and be offered the mark to buy or sell,etc…and then a little later on in this chapter the rapture occurs,by an angel with a sickle and crown…
so,this will be 3 years into the Tribulation…I just got done reading chapter 6-17 and it dawned on me from the KJV ,that it (the rapture will occur during chapter 14.)and we Christians will see this man offering the world the mark….before the rapture…

From my understanding of the Bible. Your understanding of the four riders and the four horsemen is much closer than some. Behold we live in the time of the end.
I found this article of scripture and prophecy very in-depth and good.It matches up and scripture for scripture should be used to interpret.I agree,the Four horseman of the Apocalypse have been going on…since Christ’s ascension..
now that it is 2016 November 9th,I am thinking it is very close…my guess is when the news is filled with a world peace treaty and a man figure and a 7 year treaty is being mentioned as a discussion before it actually goes into effect,that will be the sign…I think.

p.s. it depends,,it is very hard to tell from the chapter 6 of verse 12 the opening of the sixth seal and at chapter 14 will be the rapture….you have to consider the chances of being 50/50…. for both interpretations,it might be chapter 14 and that scares me more,because chapter sixth mentions nothing of a rapture….in revelation,except the scripture of the Angel in the heavens on a cloud with a gold crown and a sickle being instructed to reap the harvest…chapter 14 verse 14,15and 16….

Chapter 7 is the rapture and resurrection of the 144,000 and the great multitude. Seal 6 is the great tribulation as it parallels with Matthew 24, Joel, Zechariah. Aside from this, Rev. 16 and Rev. 6 talks about mountains and islands being removed or fled from their place. So you see, the bowls judgement which will happen at the end of the great tribulation happens also in seal 6.
Seal 7 is the Millennium. Trumpet Judgement happens at the end of the millennium before the White Throne judgement. Rev. 12 to 21 is another narrative of the entire prophetic end time line viewed in a different angle and describing more the detailed characters and events involved in the prophetic time line, from the establishment of Israel (4,000 years ago) up to the end of the millennium.
The Seven Seals
There is presupposition here on some of the interwoven symbols with the first seal, but the main subject of the riders identity has been clarified to me and I feel wholly led by He whom Yeshua sent, the comforter. I am still working on this exposition with more work to be done and will endeavor to return and edit with updates and possibly with the addition of helpful comments of others, WE, the congregation, can lay this out in a clear and succinct exposition.

Revelation of Yeshua Moshiach Chapter 6 shows the opening of the 7 seals by Yeshua. He is the ONLY one worthy to open these seals.
First Seal – Holy Spirit (Comforter)
-John 7:39 (But this he spoke concerning the Spirit, which those that believe on him should receive, for the Holy Spirit was not yet [given] because Jesus was not yet glorified.)
– John 15:26 But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, [even] the Spirit of truth, which proceeds from the Father, he shall testify of me;
– John 16:7-11 Nevertheless I tell you the truth: It is expedient for you that I go away; for if I do not go away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you. 8 And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin and of righteousness and of judgment: 9 of sin, because they do not believe in me; 10 of righteousness, because I go to my Father, and ye see me no more; 11 of judgment, because the prince of this world is judged.
– John 16:33 These things I have spoken unto you that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation; but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.

** It is important to note here that in Rev 6:1, 6:3, 6:5 and 6:7, most translations have “come and see”, but should be renered either “Come!” or “Go!” and is being directed to each rider/horse.
– Rev 6:2 And I saw and, behold, a white horse; and he that was seated upon him had a bow, and a crown was given unto him, and he went forth victorious, that he might also overcome.
Yeshua clearly relays to us that the Comforter/Holy Spirt/Ruach HaKodesh will NOT be sent (by Himself) unless He goes away. It is “expedient” that Yeshua leaves, so that the Comforter can be sent by Yeshua.
No one is found in Heaven, Earth or beneath the Earth worthy to open the seals of the book. Where is Yeshua, He who is worthy? We are looking into the past and how events unfolded after His ascension to the Father.
As Yeshua first appears (ascended to the Father), “Behold!”, he is as a lamb who is slain, but he is first referenced by the elder as the Lion of Judah, having overcome the world, he is now immediately in possession of all things from the Father. As the worthy lamb of God, He takes the “deed” of the earth.
Now Yeshua is glorified as all creation bows to him and praises his name, singing a new song and worshiping Him as Lamb and Lion, worthy of ALL things.
The first seal sends forth the comforter, as he promised his disciples, this is His first and immediate action and begins the “age of grace”.
Judgment is often associated with the seven seals, but I am finding them to be representative of the last (almost) 2000 years. They have been playing out as a woman in travail, recurring in greater intensity and frequency. Seals 1-4 are open with 5-7 to possibly to be the catalyst for the beginning of the tribulation. Seal 5 “seems” to be the the Dead in Christ and seal 6 those who are alive that “came out” of [the] great tribulation. Might it be that the phrase “came out” could be better translated as “kept out”, “brought out” or other similar sentiment? Possibly even that the fifth seal ended the “age of grace” and immediately began the tribulation and while being a very minute separation of time, those who are alive are coming out of the tribulation?
White always represents Holiness & righteousness when associated with victory, overcoming. The crown here is the Greek Stephanos, which is very different from the diadem crown. This crown is as a victors crown, such as the Laurel Wreath for the winner of an Olympic event. This is the same crown referenced throughout the NT (approx 58 times) by Yeshua, Paul, John, etc… as the crown of righteousness, life everlasting, overcoming and victory. The Apostle John uses the same descriptive language in his Gospel, epistles and Revelation. Overcome, Overcoming, Victory all describing that which Yeshua has accomplished, He has Overcome the world.
The word for bow has multiple meanings including, archer’s bow, a bow as in a blue ribbon (victory) or the bow which Elohim uses to mark the covenant with man that he will not wash the world away with a great flood. If it is an archer’s bow and without arrows, this **MIGHT** represent spiritual warfare, the daily tribulation that all believers will experience.
Second through Fourth Seal
– Rev 6:4 And another horse went forth [that was] red, and unto him that was seated thereon was given power to take away the peace of the earth and that they should kill one another; and there was given unto him a great sword.
– Rev 6:5-6 And when he had opened the third seal, I heard the third animal, which said, Come and see. And I saw and, behold, a black horse, and he that was seated upon him had a yoke in his hand. And I heard a voice in the midst of the four animals, which said, A choenix of wheat for a denarius and three choenixes of barley for a denarius; and [see] thou hurt not the oil and the wine.
– Rev 6:8 And I looked and, behold, a green horse, and he that was seated upon him was named Death, and Hades followed with him. And power was given unto him over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword and with hunger and with death and with the beasts of the earth.
The Olivet discourse description of Gentile vs Gentile and Kingdom vs Kingdom, famine/financial disasters, pestilence, etc… directly correlates with seals 2 through 4. This discourse narrates between 1st Century and the Last Century, but **Might** apply to both “ages”. As it is written, there is nothing new under the Sun.
Luke’s narrative seems clearest to me relating to 1st to 2nd Century persecution, the bold proclaiming of the Gospel and the sacking of Jerusalem. How much more of a testimony can there be than those who go to the stake, lions and burned alive with a song in their heart or proclamation of forgivness for those who persecute them. With the fulfillment of the curses against Israel of “Until the times of the Gentiles is fulfilled” could apply to 1948 (Israel reborn in one day), 1967 (Jerusalem back under Israel’s control) or even 2017-2018 (POTUS DJT formally recognizing and actively moving US Consolate to Jerusalem).
Matt 24:7, Mark 13:8, Luke 21:10-11; each of these iterate through the 2nd through 4th seal, the gist being that peace will be taken away from the earth, allowing man to be more and more corrupt and violent with nation vs nation and man vs man, famine and financial ruin for man, nation and world. growing in intensity and will culminate in some horrific manner ending the age with the rapture of those dead in Yeshua!
Can it be denied that the description of the riders in seals 2-4 have been part of the world since the fall of creation, have ever increased in intensity & frequency, with the 19th-20th century being the most intensive with the World Wars, Communism, Socialism, Marxism, famine, financial ruin, pestilence, disease and natural disasters. Hundreds of millions, even a billion people having perished in the 19th-20th century via these three seals. And Luke 21:25 may be akin to the “distress of nations, with perplexity” which we see today.
Sections of scripture such as Rom 1:17-32 clearly show how man has been allowed to become more and more absurd in their level of self delusion and self worship. II Timothy 3 describes the culmination of this increasing blindness and self agrandizing which we see in many people. Some seem to include all of these attributes and others singular aspects, but all are lost without the Truth of the Mercy and Grace of our Lord and Saviour, Yeshua the Messiah!
Seal 5 – Dead in Yeshua resurrected (rapture); told to wait a short while (twinkle of the eye) until their fellow servants (those alive in Yeshua) are raptured and their brethren who will be martyred during the tribulation. They receive their glorified raiment (body), but must wait for those who follow before judgment comes.
Seal 6 – Those Alive in Yeshua are raptured; catalyst/beginning of the tribulation; Great Earthquake, signs in the Sun, Moon and Stars
Seal 7 – A pause before the beginning of the trumpets (Have yet to study on this)
I’d like to point out, that while this article singles out the Catholic pope as one of the antichrist figures who are represented by the white horse, but when it comes to world leaders who think and act as “little Christs”, there seems to be an endless supply all around the world. Donald Trump “found God” around the time that the American election was happening, and now wants to solve the Middle East peace problem. Vladimir Putin makes much of his Russian Orthodox faith, and seems to think he is going to fix the problems in Syria. These men may have noble intentions, but to the extent that they are trying to “save the world” they are antichrists. The pope of course makes regular pronouncements that make clear that he believes he has all the answers for the world, but he doesn’t seem to have much political power, unless we assume he is controlling the European Union, which is a bit of a stretch. But yes, all these “white hats” who have good intentions for the world, are not doing much except making the mess even worse.

I believe the depection of the first horseman is wrong it is not a group of people since each horsemen is only given one single crown and the horsemen serve god at his round table of four and twenty, four horsemen, and twenty men one representing their own nation but the antichrist are not any of the four horsemen for in the bible it never stated this.
