Parents voiced their displeasure with the school’s ‘transgender day’.
An elementary school in Wisconsin stirred up a great deal of controversy and anger among parents by hosting a “Gender Bender Day” in which all students were instructed to cross dress as the opposite sex for school.
The Tippecanoe School For The Arts And Humanities made the “Gender Bender Day” a part of its May 24th School Spirit celebration. Boys were encouraged to dress like girls and girls were encouraged to dress like boys. The move was met with disapproval from parents, some who called the school requesting the event be cancelled. The school responded by changing the name of the event to “Switch It Up Day” but the instructions to cross dress and engage in transgender activity remained.

Deidri Hernandez, the mother of a 7-year old child at the school, was one of the parents who contacted school Principal Jeffrey Krupar to voice her disapproval.
“I didn’t have a problem with the title. I had a problem with the activity taking place,” Hernandez says. She says it’s “ridiculous” and “creepy” to ask elementary boys to come to school dressed as girls, and vice versa, and predicts that having students dress as “transvestites” will distract from the learning process.
Hernandez knows of at least one other parent who shares her concerns and plans to hold her child out of class, too.
But it’s the motivation behind “Switch It Up Day” that has Hernandez most concerned.
She wonders if it is being done to promote the acceptance of homosexuality to students in school, which runs from pre-kindergarten through eighth grade. Hernandez thinks it’s inappropriate to expose young children to these issues, even in a light-hearted manner.
“They might as well call it ‘Transgender Day,’” she says. (source).

The Bible is clear that cross dressing or transgender dressing is a sin:
“The woman shall not wear that which pertaineth unto a man, neither shall a man put on a woman’s garment: for all that do so are abomination unto the LORD thy God.” – Deuteronomy 22:5.
Gender roles are to be maintained and dressing as the opposite sex is a sin. Public schools in the United States of America have become increasingly hostile to the Word of God while at the same time promoting ideas that are in direct rebellion against God’s clear commands. In this instance, Principal Krupar responded by saying it was the student’s decision to hold the day and he saw no issue with it. As Beginning and End has detailed, elementary school students have found themselves in trouble just for including the name of God in a poem. But an entire day devoted to a Biblical sin is acceptable.
Pray for the children in public schools being increasingly exposed to ideas that run contrary to the Christian faith and for a return to Biblical principles and values. Public schools have become a training ground for indoctrination into sexual values and ideas that society has approved, regardless of whether the parents have knowledge or not. This is not the first incident in the state of Washington. As detailed in a prior article on the increasing sexualization of children, “Sex Ed” has become so X-rated, an elementary school principal gave graphic description of intimate acts to children in class, traumatizing some children to the point they refused to return to school.
Matthew 18 records a conversation where Jesus Christ was asked about children:
At the same time came the disciples unto Jesus, saying, Who is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven? And Jesus called a little child unto him, and set him in the midst of them, And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven. Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven. And whoso shall receive one such little child in my name receiveth me. But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea. – Matthew 18:1-6.
Exposing children to sinful sexual acts at such a young age is rebellion against The Lord. And pray for the parents of these children to continue to contend for the faith once given to the saints and not to submit to the agenda of a school system that is increasingly hostile to anything related to the name of Jesus Christ.

If you don’t, please look into it… It has completely changed my entire understanding of the word; its usage in the Bible; and its usage today. Absolutely an eye-opening study.
I’ll give you a hint- I no longer contradict anyone who tells me that my being a Christian and standing against certain sinful activities I’m “evil.” I actually agree with them now.

Thank you B&E for another eye opening article. I don’t understand why more christian families i mean born again bible reading true followers of Christ christians are not homeschooling their children. Our oldest was in public school and during the 2nd grade we felt called to homeschool so we pulled her out mid year. The sad part is we had never heard about homeschooling even in our own church. It is the greatest decision we have made and our entire lives have been blessed by it. So glad our kids wont have to witness some of the evil that takes place in the public schools.
These headlines of transgender days at school are very irritating. Just as irritating as headlines such as “Social Services Threatens to Take Children Away From Home Schooling Parents,” or “Prosecutor Wants Parents who Home School Their Children Imprisoned.”
The liberals are going nuts because parents who home school their children are effectively removing their children from the Obama zombie manufacturing line.
Poorly educated children are easier to turn into radical left-wing extremists who vote for people like Barak Obama. Think about it….. the quality of American education has plummeted over the last 40 years!

America’s children have been targeted by the liberal left as a way of planting the seeds of destruction into the American way of life. They’ve destroyed American pride and replaced it with 101 reasons to be ashamed to be an American. And far too many children who graduate from our public schools are functionally illiterate.
I’ve seen teens who witness crimes incapable of writing out a simple witness statement. What liberalism has done to our schools is a national tragedy and I salute the parents with the courage to say… “You’re not doing that to my kid!”
Homeschoolers are American heros in my opinion. They’re fulfilling their duty to protect and nurture the children that God has entrusted to them. And the liberal left is furious, but there’s not much they can do about it because studies have shown that home-schooled kids are far superior academically to public schooled kids. That’s why we haven’t seen widespread persecution of home-schoolers in America.
The liberal left does not want their failures parodied into the court system for everybody to see. Furthermore, studies show that skin color does not matter.
Homeschooled kids of all colors excel across the board in every subject, but in the public schools it’s seems to be the black children who get the worst possible education.
So I have to ask….Who are the racists in America?
Take a look at the liberal left in our public schools. The public schools have been the biggest waste of tax dollars since Hillary Clinton started collecting a government paycheck!
Now if educating our children is what tax dollars are for then I say home school parents deserve that money a hell of a lot more than the corrupt education system we now have. Give them half a chance and the liberal left will outlaw homeschooling in America.
Right now California is leading the charge to force home school parents to obtain a teachers certification before teaching their own children.

How do you know the law against cross dressing is a moral law? There were different kinds of laws in the Old Testament times, including moral laws and laws of cleanliness. A moral law is a law that we believers still follow today (Thou shalt not steal, murder, etc.) but other laws were made specifically for the Israelis in the Old Testament to keep themselves clean and presentable before God in the times before Jesus came to be our ultimate Cleanser, Sacrifice and High Priest. These laws included certain foods that should be eaten. How do we know cross dressing is a moral law that should be kept today and not a cleanliness law that is no longer needed?

That’s a great question. I think you and I have different perspectives on the law and grace. I agree that there were Mosaic laws that were related to the temple, its maintenance and worship there. Obviously these laws cannot be followed because there is no temple building. Furthermore Christ being our High Priest fulfills the role required by the law perfectly. However, with respect to the rest of the law, Christ has freed us from ALL of it. I do not believe a Christian is “under the law” with respect to ANY of it:
The “handwriting of ordinances that was against us” was the law. Which when you are a Christian, is no longer of any effect on you. Christ has freed us from bondage to the law, all of it, and its curse.
So how do we then know that cross-dressing sinful? 2 ways – 1. Scripture – “Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, 10 Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.” (1 Corinthians 6:9-10).
Scripture also tells us that nature itself shows us that it is wrong for a man to wear his hair long like a woman.
Secondly – the Holy Spirit. We have the Spirit of God to convict us of sin in our hearts. And as born again believers, we know, or should know how seriously The Lord takes gender roles. Men are men and women are women. And there ought not to be any con-fusion (as in “with fusion”) of the two. God is not the author of confusion. And cross-dressing is behavior related to homosexuality which is an obvious sin against God.

I have a question along similar lines just to clarify
Based on the Bible, how do we know how men and women are supposed to dress? What I mean is, people obviously dressed different in the Old Testament. And we know from Paul women used to cover their heads in worship. Americans dress differently than even people in the time of Jesus. Why don’t Christian women do this now? I have heard some people say that pants on women are cross-dressing because it is a recent development.

I think we can apply the Scripture to our own respective cultures. In most societies there is a clear distinction between men’s and women’s wear. Certainly in America there is. It is not hard to identify someone who is cross dressing in American culture. Pants are certainly a part of women’s dress and when a man is wearing women’s pants it looks quite obvious (not to mention our stores divide clothing by gender so they would have to purchase it from a women’s section or a women’s clothing store altogether).
Not to mention that for example, a man who is dressing like a woman will often in addition to clothing, wear their hair like a woman, put on makeup, etc. So there are many easy ways to identify when someone is purposely trying to look like the opposite sex which is obviously a sin in Scripture.
What are little children being forced into this?

There is nothing wrong with encouraging the acceptance homosexuality and bisexuality in society. It certainly won’t hurt anyone. It should be seen as normal and equal to heterosexuality, because it is! A huge benefit to society is that same-sex couples can adopt babies to give them a loving home and family.
No it should not be seen as normal. It’s aberrant behavior….always has been always will be….but most importantly God says it’s sin. It’s a tragedy that homosexuals can adopt children. God has a lot to say about that too……you might want to look up Luke 17:2. But it is a sin that God will forgive. All it takes is a repentant heart. God heals and restores people all the time. Homosexuality is not God’s plan for anyone.
I live in a very conservative, Christian NC community and we have gender bender day at the high school. It is part of ‘spirit week’. Not everyone participates and there doesn’t appear to be an agenda. At first I was offended, but then I remembered that back in the early ’70’s in a rural Wisconsin community, we participated in ‘Sadie Hawkins Day’. Boys dressed as girls and girls as boys, and then the girls would ask the boys to the Sadie Hawkins Dance. I was just a bunch of fun and we thought nothing of it.
However, this article illustrates that there is an agenda now, and is aggressive, especially when they aiming it at elementary students. What once was just a bit of fun has now been transformed into a forced agenda. Too bad. It’s an excellent time to homeschool your kids, I did when I found the information in elementary school too much for our youngest daughter to handle.

God loves everybody the way he, she, s/he or he/s is, because we are made in the image of God. We should use the same logic when used referring to a persons looks, then we are tend to say: ´He or she is not his or her own maker´.
It is good to teach that there is variety within creation, gender is a scale, not a ´clear cut´ along biological ´lines´. Are the transgeders born in a wrong body, not matching their soul or spirit or is it a biological problem? Are we thinking to much along black & white lines? Are we forcing them in a sense to take this brave step, changing gender, because we demand a clear picture perfect and a simple world?
